Chapter 38: One Year Later

Time continued to pass, and Ryo spent another year on Mount Myoboku.

During this year, he focused on better mastering what he had learned earlier.

Chidori and her descendant, Lightning Cakra Mode, Resengan, all kinds of Water Release Jutsu, Ice Element, ascetic Mode. After a year of perfecting her technique with all that, Ryo was sure that she could, and was, when in Ice or Sage fashion, face Kushina in her Kyuubi Coat mode.

In the Hokage's office, the third smiled looking at Ryo who was also staring back at him.

Due to his large Chakranya, Ryo easily finds Kushina. Right with him, he sensed another familiar Chakra.

Running towards her, Ryo goes to the Forest of Death, where he finds her very upset, hitting Jiraya.

"Kushina Ne-san, what did Jiraya san do wrong?"

“Rio you're back! Huge! Join me to beat up this pervert!”

“Rio, save me! It was an accident!"

Ryo understood what was going on. What happened was that Jiraya peeked into the hot spring where she was preparing to take a bath.

Even though he was as shameless as them, he knew that peeking at his student girlfriend was completely unacceptable. So when he saw her, he decided to retreat. Unfortunately, he did not notice and caused some noise that caught his attention to him.

When he saw her, he went into 4-tail mode chasing her all the way to the forest of death. He knew he messed up when he was caught breaking a promise in such a way. Even though he was in 4-tail mode, he did not use his Sage mode, only deciding not to fight him.

"Well Ne-san, since she didn't see anything, just forget it and let her go!"

“Hey, this is only for Ryo!” Kushina was already tired of chasing after him, and she had a lot to say to Ryo after a long time of not meeting him. He decided to forgive her.

The two went together to the 3rd training ground . On the way, they talked about his progress on Mount Myoboku during these two years.

Kushina told him about what changed for him as well over the past 2 years. Ryo did not expect what he told her: that Kyuubi and her had a huge improvement in their relationship.

Not long after Ryo went to Mount Myoboku, Minato also left the village to go on a mission.

Being very bored, Kushina often talks to Kurama, and what she talks about is what Ryo says about Biju and the humans who can live together peacefully. As soon as the two left, Kurama actually answered him.

Hearing him respond for the first time, he spent the whole day trying to communicate with him and encouraging him to talk. Little by little, their relationship improved.

“Ryo, you were right, people and Biju could really make friends; Kyu-san is now my friend.”

In the manga, Naruto is also friends with Kurama. Now it seems from what Kushina said that her relationship with him is so good that the whole incident of Kyubi seems avoidable!
