Chapter 33: The Training Begins!

“Pa, is this the child you told me about? One who really should be afraid of natural energy swallowing it?” As he was gazing at the scenery of Myoboku Mountain in the surroundings, Ryo was interrupted by a sudden sound.

“Ya Ma'am. Didn't I tell you? Ryo Chan has a special state, called the Elemenization of Ice. When in that state, he became an Ice Man using the Wind and Water attribute of natural energy.” Fukasaku explained to Shima.

“Well, you did tell me, but I have to see it! Son, let me see this special state.” Shima carries what looks like a vegetable basket, from which several insects jump to Ryo.

He nodded and activated Ice mode. Like Fukasaku when he saw this for the first time, Shima closed her Ice and tried to look at it.

“It's real, with my Senjutsu perception, I can only see blocks of ice. This is awesome!"

“Alright Ma, Ryo Chan is here for the first time : shouldn't you prepare breakfast for him?”

“You don't have to bother yourself! I have brought a lot of MRP with me.” Ryo remembers Bug Meals from the anime and hastily refuses.

“Well, don't be so polite! Don't be fooled by Ma's ferocity, the cuisine is really delicious!”

Fukasaku tried to make Ryo feel at home. The latter could only try to smile.

Ryo followed the two frogs back to their place. When Ryo called Fukasaku, they were hunting for food in the mountain forest.

“Ryo Chan, make yourself at home. Sit down, breakfast will be ready soon.” Fukasaku offered Ryo a cup of tea. Fortunately, the Myoboku Mountain tea was normal.

After a while, Shima carried a large plate of worms and placed it on the table.

“Come Ryo, no need to be ashamed. Swallow it!" the crane enthusiastically looked towards Ryo.

Ryo closed his eyes, took the insect and put it in his mouth. And then he swallowed it whole!

Fukasaku asked him: “So Ryo, what do you think about the taste?”

“It feels good!” Ryo suppressed his urge to vomit as he praised the insect's taste. This made Shima Smile.

After breakfast, Ryo and Fukasaku went to the nearest oil pond.

“Ryo Chan, to practice ascetic mode, you need the first one to be able to feel and gather natural energy. You should let the natural energy flow in and out of your body. In other words, you have to blend in with nature.”

“But Fukasaku is the same, I can't feel the natural energy!”

As with the manga, Fukasaku smeared a bit of oil on Ryo's arm. However, Ryo did not sense the flow of natural energy.

When Naruto was painted with oil, he felt a stream of energy and his arms began to turn into frog limbs. Ryo, however, did not feel any energy flow, although his hand began to change like Naruto's.

“Fukasaka Sama, why is this happening?” Ryo felt this was strange. Natural energy clearly flowed into him, but he was completely unaware of it.

“Your first step to learning Senjutsu is to understand the difference between your Chakra and your natural energy!” As he finished his words, he struck him with his cane to let out a natural energy in his arm.

When Ryo started refining his chakra, as he was also working on the Ice affinity, he absorbed a lot of natural energy into his body.

Whatever was left in his body from that Natural energy formed a new "Chakra" within him as he refined it early in his life. It was indeed a combination of Natural energy, Physical energy, and Spiritual energy. However, it is not in a Ratio of 1:1:1. It's not Cakra Senjutsu. This allows him to have a very high number of Chakras. All of this was referred to by Fukasaku as the Baptism of Natural Energy.

And since his first encounter with natural energy was while he was refining Chakras early in his life, Ryo was unable to distinguish between the 3 types of energy.

After identifying the path he should take. He painted his body with Frog Oil and opened his Sharingan and observed the flow of Chakras within his body.

A moment later, his body began to turn into the shape of a frog. Ryo's chakra flow is unaffected.

"Huh?" When Ryo will be fully transformed into a frog, his Chakra flow stops, and his cells acquire the molecular structure of ice.

At the beginning of the Ice Elementization, Ryo discovered that a large amount of energy accumulated within the body started flowing into his cells at that moment.

Ryo knew that physical and spiritual energy would not be absorbed in the process. For the first time, he could sense this energy intuitively.

After that, Ryo raised this mode, and he continued to smear Toad Oil.

Once twice…

Ryo who had no problem with working hard, could not count the number of times he repeated it before finally identifying a sense of natural energy.

Unlike physical and spiritual energy, the energy of Nature has a different feeling, like life.

After identifying him, he closed his eyes and felt a flow of chakra in his body.

He discovered that although his chakra contained no natural energy, his body possessed a portion of it. Once he used the ice elemenization, that energy was used to complete the transformation.

This energy has a distinctive attraction to the natural energy of the outside world. Ryo's intuition tells him that it is the main cause behind his inability to enter Sage mode.
