Chapter 20: Reunion With Kakashi

The third training field filled with Shadow Clones did not make the 3rd Hokage flinch ! He was surrounded by 500 of them today, as he was asked by Kushina to help him.

The 3rd is actually one of the people closest to Kushina. Once he heard about her developing a new Jutsu, he was really interested and wanted to see what it was all about. He came here backup with him!

“So Kushina, your new technique is just a shadow clone gimmick?”

"Of course not. Are you ready, old man?"

Since she doesn't use Kyubi's Cloak mode, she's best at the level of the regular Jonin, so doesn't pose a threat to Hiruzen.

“[Shihohappo Shuriken]!” Kushina threw Shuriken to the 3rd from all directions! In the face of the rain of death he had to face, he formed a seal: [Earth Freedom: Mud Wall], and surrounded himself with 4 walls!

Kushina is able to make up to 200 Kyubi Chakras using clones. Ryo estimated that number could reach 500. In the anime, with only half of Kyubi's Chakra, Naruto protects 9000 ninjas. If Kushina had just reached the state of 4 tails while keeping it under control, she should have no problem making 500 clones that have Kyubi Chakra.

In her 4 tail mode, Kushina actually had to be on par with Sakumo's strength, but still, it was difficult for her to defeat him.

He will have an edge on her! When in that condition, he could have flooded him with Shadow Clones. He would defeat them because they were weaker than him at full strength, but he would eventually run out of Chakra, while he should have a practically unlimited supply!

She doesn't fully understand why, but Ryo notices that Kushina was never influenced by Kyubi's anger and hatred while using her chakra.

When he asked about it, he said he could only feel it when using more than 3 tails. Ryo thought that he as a pure-blooded Uzumaki was instrumental in that. This was a good thing, as they did not have to worry about Kyuubi taking control.

Ryo spent the next few days in the hospital. A group of ninjas returning from the land of earth need care, so Ryo is needed.

Being away from Ryo made Kushina feel bored. He went to the Hokage's office and complained! I haven't been out of the village for a long time on a mission. Is there no suitable mission?”

3 Rd knows what he wants. Without raising his head, he replied: "No, nothing"

"Then give me back my students!"

“Kushina, our Ninja has just returned from the land of earth with so many of them injured. They're all heroes we have to do everything we can to save. Now there are so few medical ninjas. Hospital staff can't handle this alone!”

Such scenes are familiar to Hokage. Kushina has always been like this. He was stubborn, but the 3rd was tireless. In the end, as usual, he could only leave the office furiously!

The Konoha hospital is in desperate need of Ryo's presence; everyone is working 24/7 trying to save the injured ninja. A few days later, they basically finished taking care of all the injured. Ryo and the other staff were completely exhausted.

In his office, 3rd feels very grateful that he keeps Ryo in the village. Many of the injured ninjas survived what should have been a definite death.

"Yes, Hokage-sama!" Anbu immediately went and told Ryo.

The next day, Ryo went early to the 3rd practice field . To his surprise, there was another one with Kushina: One with a Black mask, silver hair, and pale eyes!

"Oh! Isn't that the famous genius Kakashi Hatake!”

"Isn't that Yamanaka Ryo's boy!" After a long time of not meeting, they said ridiculous things. Kakashi still sees him as his rival.

“Hey, I see you still hold your old grudge. Want to fight?”

“Of course!”

Ryo wants to see what level Kakashi has reached in the last two years. After all, he learned how to use Chidori earlier than when he learned it in scabies. Ryo expects great things from him.

He activated his Lightning Chakra Mode, took out his dagger and activated the Chidori blade. With the aura of lightning surrounding him, and the dagger in his hand surrounded by Chidori, he really looked like he was ready to fight!
