Chapter 5: Bad News, And Sad Experiences

This year, Konoha has won battles everywhere. The sand had surrendered, the fog had failed to reach the fire country, and only the clouds and earth could fight each other. Konoha emerged from this war as the victor!

The news of the victory sent back to the village made the villagers and the ninja who were left behind relieved. The war is over! Everyone stood in line welcoming the returning heroes! And Ryo's on the welcome team.

"Look, they're back!"

Ninja sensors and those with Dojutsus first spotted the troops in the distance, and soon after all Konoha began to see them. The cheers of the villagers grew larger as the ninja army approached.

Ryo squeezes himself through the crowd with his physical superiority. There are three men in the lead: Ninja princess Tsunade, another Sannin Orochimaru, and the last one is a white fang, Sakumo Hatake.

Orochimaru stationed in the water country was able to block attacks from them for the past 2 years. Sakumo made the sand bend to its knees after killing their greatest mastermind. As for Jiraiya, he was still with Nagato and his friends teaching and taking care of them.

All three were led by the 3rd Hokage: Sarutobi Hiruzen. All came smiling as they received decent praise from the citizens of Konoha.

“(Teacher) Sandaime, fortunately, they do not disappoint!”

"Indeed! Indeed it is!" The 3rd Hokage was proud: The three of them used to be just little boys and now they could protect the leaves. "Teacher, let's bring back the heroes!"

After completing the program and applauding, the ninja army spread out, and there were nearly a hundred stretchers at the end of the team. Most of these ninjas were severely injured and their survival was uncertain or even impossible. Many others had fallen on the battlefield.

The 3rd also told those who welcomed them to make way for the palanquin. Ryo was affected by this atmosphere. He used to be a doctor so seeing sick and dying people didn't make him claustrophobic or anything, but the sheer scale of the injuries that came with wartime was hard for him to imagine. It made him realize that the world is real, and death in it is just as real.

After the stretcher was taken to the village, Sakumo and the 2 sannins parted ways on Hokage's orders. He knew that what they needed was not a banquet, but a reunion with their family.

Ryo held back his emotions as he returned home with the rest of Yamanaka. As he enters the house, he makes his mother listen to Hatake Sakumo while shedding tears nonstop, and besides, Yamanaka Inoichi has his eyes all red.

"Ryo, your uncle is gone!"

Inoichi's voice was not loud, but it directly pierced through Ryo's soul as if it was the sound of thunder in a silent night. From his birth, his uncle carried him, taught him to walk, taught him skills, and gave him the warmth he never received from his father in both lives. Now he's gone!

Inoichi remembers his father leaving when Ryo was just 2 years old, so he should have forgotten about it by now. She does not know that Ryo has an adult mind along with an excellent memory of a doctor.

"Sakumo-san, who is it?" ryo said with his head bowed in a calm voice.

Sakumo also thought that he had forgotten his uncle, and casually said, "Four-tailed Jinchuriki, Rochi"

"Is that true? I'll kill him!” Ryo said in a resolute voice, raising his head as his tears flowed unstoppably from his eyes.

"Oh! This...this!”

“Yes, that's his son! Ryos. It seemed like he had to remember everything from his birth. This kid is too strong." Sakumo looked at a 5-year-old boy in front of him.

“Ryo, you remember your uncle ..”

"Of course I remember. How could I forget?” Just before the fact, this world was like a game to him. The people around him were NPCs. Except for the family he cared about, everyone could be thrown away. But the return of today's ninja army makes it possible to realize that this is the real world.

That was coupled with the death of his uncle. The double stimulus allows Ryo to awaken his father's Blood boundary skill.

The young Yamanaka Ryo had his eyes shining like red rubies. The room was suddenly in a strange silence.

“Aibi, what are those eyes..” The one who breaks the silence is Inoichi.

"Yes, Ryo's father, my husband is an Uchiha."

“(Sakumo) Inoichi, you now know that this boy has awakened his Sharingan at the age of 5. Do you think the Uchiha would let such a genius live with another family? You are now the head of the new Yamanaka clan. Are you willing to keep him with his mother here in your family? This could cause the Yamanaka clan a lot of problems.”

“Sakumo san, my aunt, and my little brother will always be my family. So unless they want to go alone, our clan will always be their home.”

“Yes, I understand” Inoichi's attitude makes Chinse feel very warm and happy because he has such a family.

After the three men reached a consensus, Sakumo saluted and left the place, as whatever was left to be said was Yamanaka's inner affair.

Akihito's death did make Ryo grieve endlessly. But when he awakens the Sharingan, grief turns into a driving force for progress. As long as his eyes evolved, he might obtain the Rinnegan, or another form that helped him gain resurrection power. So perhaps, his uncle could be resurrected. What he needed now was strength!

A week later, the 3rd Hokage held a funeral for the heroes of Konoha.

In front of the Spiritual Tablet, all the ninjas were dressed in black. On the tablet were carved the names of ninjas who sacrificed their lives for the peace of Konoha.

At the end of the funeral, Chinse calls Ryo and Inochi to his room and talks to them about what happened years ago.

Ryo's father was one of the Uchiha's elites, his name was Uchiha Houyi. He did not appear in the original series. He is different from the other Uchiha members in that he has no fire affinity: only lightning.

Uchiha were known for their fire skills and high ninja skills. But Houyi's lack of fire affinity made him discriminated against by his family members. That was until he woke up his sharingan at the age of 10!

The earlier the sharingan Uchiha woke up, the higher his talent. So Houyi was considered a rare genius even among the great Uchiha clan. Trained by his family, 16-year-old Houyi becomes a special Jonin with his sharing and thunder power. And then at the age of 18, he became a fully mature Jonin. He is sent to a wind country where he meets Chinse who works as a medical ninja there.

In a wind country, sand puppeteer ninjas showed great skill in using poison. The smallest mistake of Konoha ninja resulted in their being poisoned and the absence of medical ninja meant death. As a result, 70% of Konoha's medical ninja are stationed in the wind country.

As Chinse saves her life from poisoning and Houyi saves her on the battlefield heroically, the two eventually fall in love with each other.

Since 31, they have been together. Due to the war, news of their marriage did not spread. Only their commander Sakumo knows. The following year she became pregnant and Houyi faced Chiyo's son and son-in-law in the field. Although he fought superbly, he was eventually poisoned and he died in his wife's arms because he failed to save her.

As Yamanaka Chinse mourns, Hatake Sakumu contacts his cousin Akihito.

The Uchiha never really agreed with the Hokage. And with the consistent support from Yamanaka for them for many years, Chinse would not have a good life with the Uchiha. Now that Houyi died, Sakumo could not bear to see his friend's wife being bullied by the Uchiha family. With Akihito, she decides to hide the marriage problem, letting Yamanaka take her back to her clan where she should be able to raise her son without any problems.

In this way, Ryo could grow up peacefully. Chinse intended to talk about his origins whenever he developed the Sharingan. But no one could have expected this day to come so quickly.

"Mom, are you a medical ninja?"

“Well, I studied pharmacy from the beginning, and when I was 14, I entered Konoha hospital and only left when I had you.”

“Bu, are we Yamanaka medically talented?” Ryo recalls that in the original show Ino had little medical ninjatsu knowledge and added the fact that his mother was also a medical. With his understanding of the human body, along with his medical ninja and lightning powers, they might form a powerful combination

“Yeah, our family does have excellent Chakra control due to our mind body technique exercises so we have no problem with using simple medical ninjutsu. But studying medical ninjutsu in depth is not an easy task.”
