Chapter 59: Shukaku

“Shukaku, he's all yours. [Sleep Jutsu Pretend]!”

As Bunpuku closed his eyes, the desert sand began to gather around him. Soon after, a giant creature even larger than the Gamahiro was on the battlefield.

Shukaku's body was colored like sand. It looked like a giant Tanuki with a deep purple mark on its body, and a huge tail that emitted out a large amount of yellow sand.

“Hei Ryo! Shukaku out, this won't be fun!” In terms of his stature, Gamahiro was not too fat from Shukaku. But the gap in strength between the two was huge.

"Oh yeah! After all, this was a Tailed Beast. If we're not careful enough, we might end up dead.” Said Ryo hoping with a heavy face.

“Hugo! You used a tailed beast to fight a child ?! ” Seeing Shukaku, Uchiha Chu's face changed greatly. Ryo is very strong, especially when he has Gamahiro by his side. But he's not Ichibi's opponent at all.

“Haha, that's the plan of the 4th Kazekage. It could only end one way. The boy must die! His death was worth any sacrifice! ”

Seeing Hugo's madness on one side and Ryo on the other, Chu could only pray for Ryo's survival.

"Ha ha ha! I can finally dive! ” With his arrogant laugh, Shukaku awakens.

Sensing the terrifying beast Chakra, Ryo's face grew even paler. Before facing him, he did not think that Ichibi would be too strong for him to face. After all, Naruto and Gamabunta were able to repel [Jutsu Pretending to Sleep] while resisting Shukaku's attacks.

However, what Ryo misses is that Gaara, who is Jinchuriki in the manga, is not at all on good terms with his Bijuu. They were more like fire and ice. Although Gaara used [Pretending Sleep Jutsu] back then to unleash Shukaku's full strength, he still suppressed his full potential.

However, Bunpuku and Shukaku have been together for decades. Over time, they learn to get along, and Punbaku trusts Shukaku's absolute defense more than Gaara. This made it possible to gain the full power of his Bijuu by using [Pretending Sleep Jutsu]. It's really a lot stronger than Naruto has to deal with.

“Ha ha ha ha, “I will celebrate my emergence, and it will start by killing you son! [Futon: Air Bullet]!”

“Ryo, get off my back! [Water Release: Shot]!” Gamahiro tells Ryo to run away and try to fight Shukaku's attack.

In Manga, Gamabunta Shots are able to withstand several Shukaku Air Bullets. But here, the Gamahiro Shots could not fend it off.

He saw that his Water Shots were scattering so he quickly jumped up. Ryo moves quickly to save himself.

“Ryo! What am I supposed to do? It's too strong!”

“Now, in front of Shukaku's absolute strength, I guess whatever we do won't have much effect.” Ryo answered with a grim face.

“Ryo, how about esmu?”

“It won't work, here in the desert; I don't have enough water to do something big enough.”

“You have all these men! Can't you, Ninja Yamanaka transfer messages into the minds of your troops? Have them use the Water Element to help you!”

Gamahiro's proposal gives Ryo a way to get large amounts of water. This is a great idea! With enough water, Ryo could do what he had imagined.

"Hiro, I need you to give me some time!"

“This one is too strong; I don't know how long I will last.”

After reaching a consensus, Gamahiro took out his sword and jumped up to fight Shukaku. At all levels, he was truly incomparable.

Ryo left his Ice state of elemenization and switched to Sage mode to intensify his perception ability. He uses his clan's techniques to connect himself with all the ninjas on the battlefield. He was too pinched to try to distinguish between Konoha and Sand.

"All Konoha Shinobi!" His voice echoed in the minds of everyone on the battlefield making them pause for a moment.

“I am Ryo Yamanaka, and I am now fighting against the sand beast, Ichibi Shukaku! Right now, I really need your help. Please, in 10 seconds, everyone near the center of the battleground is using water release!”

Just as he finished his words, Ryo disconnected the connection. Even when in Sage Mode, it was still very tiring for him to send messages to many people at once.

“I don't know what he wants to do, but he just asked for Jutsu Air. I don't think it will be a threat to Shukaku, and it will make our enemies lose Chakra!” That's what most Sand Ninjas think. They don't try to interfere with Ryo's plans.

On the other hand, the Konoha Ninja saw a great battle against the terrible Shukaku in the middle of the field, and felt sorry for Ryo. Now that they knew that they could help him, they all prepared themselves. Within ten seconds, Water was released in large quantities towards Shukaku.

Gamahiro jumps before the attack and Shukaku looks at them Ninjas on the battlefield with disdain.

"Frozen!" With the help of the Natural Energy coming from the [Yin Seal], Ryo managed to freeze all the water, and a large amount of Ice fell onto Shukaku's body and made it all hollow.

The beast was wounded, and the Konoha Ninja rejoiced. The sand ninja did not believe it. After all, they thought Shukaku's defense was absolute!

Sure enough, it was still in the desert. Sand gathered around him, and the holes in his body were repaired.

“You brat! It really hurts! How dare you?! [Futon: Air Bullet]!”

Shukaku was enraged by Ryo's attack, and it started spouting extremely powerful air bullets towards him. Ryo hurriedly controlled the ice making a strong Ice wall protect him. The ice on his wall was strengthened with natural energy, so the Air Bullets had little effect on him.

“Ryo, this will not stop him! This is the Biju. It will not run out of chakra anytime soon, and your ice wall will be destroyed sooner or later.” Gamahiro was worried as he said that.

“I am preparing a new technique, which I have never used before. It was just an idea, and it took some time to prepare. All I can do now is rely on this ice wall.”

“What techniques can handle Shukaku? Are you sure you can do it?”

“I faced Biju, so I was never sure I would win. But if using this technique, even if I do not beat it, I cannot lose.”

Gamahiro knows Ryo well enough to understand that his words are never empty. Because he was so confident, Hiro chose to believe in him.

As the ice wall continued to be bombarded by Shikaku, it began to crack. However, Ryo still closed his eyes and Gamahiro grew even more worried.

“Hey, hey!” When the wall was destroyed, Ryo opened his eyes. The ice around him began to gather.

Gamahiro felt that the natural energy around him was flowing at an incredible speed into the ice, and felt something about to erupt from within it.

“[Ice Colossus]!”
