The Seirei Gensouki Spirit Chronicles

The Seirei Gensouki Spirit Chronicles
Chapter 1

“Master, can you tell me where I can buy this paste?” Rio hurriedly asked the owner about his stock. “Oh? Have you fallen in love with pasta, son? If you go to the Ricca Guild store inside the city walls, they will sell it to you. They sold other products that were exclusive to Guilds, so it was worth a visit. A bit expensive, but they also sell ‘manju’ meat in their store.”

“Manju meat , you say?”

“Yes. The shape is round, and looks like bread, but the texture is soft. And the best part is, they are filled with juicy minced meat. It's expensive, but worth a try. ”

The explanation of the pasta shop owner was making something click on Rio's head. The food he described earlier sounded very similar to ‘nikumanju’ – which is the meat bun Amakawa Haruto ate earlier.

“Hah, sounds good. I'll try it later.” Rio revealed a smile on his face as he expressed his interest, then he continued eating it, silently, as he processed his thoughts on this mysterious Liselotte.

Meat bread .. right. Pasta, noodles, and meat patties – all of these foods are on Earth, with the exact same name and ingredients. What a chance that this world and Earth will, by chance, have words that

sound the same and have the same meaning? He could not say that it was absolutely impossible, but While a single word might be trustworthy, having a second and third word in the same example

making the odds much lower, especially since they are all foods created by one person.

As a result, Rio's suspicions seemed increasingly convincing. Maybe this Liselotte girl is in the same position as him, Rio was suspicious. In other words .. it may be that someone who lived on Earth has died, and was reborn as Liselotte Cretia in this world. That person is most likely Japanese.

Of course, it is also possible that Liselotte is just a facade. A third party that comes from Japan might act as his brain – but there is no evidence either.

After all, Liselotte clearly has access to Earth knowledge – knowledge that is a possibility

he used it to revolutionize Amande, Rio concluded. But that was as far as his thoughts went before they stopped shrill. He had no aggressive intention of pursuing his curiosity any more than that. Even if Liselotte was really going through the same state as him, she did not have the slightest desire to meet him and discuss it.

Because a human named Amakawa Haruto has died with regret. Meeting him would not change anything, only reminding him of bitter memories and attachments that did not

desirable – thought it alone that prevented Rio from acting. Amakawa Haruto is dead. Right now, Rio is Rio, not Amakawa Haruto. Of course, Amakawa Haruto's memory and personality might be inside Rio's body, but they are fused together.

No. ... he wasn't even sure if it was genuine or not. Moreover, even if he returned to Earth like this, he would not be able to live as Amakawa Haruto anymore. It was impossible, because Amakawa Haruto had his burden, while Rio had .. After all, this situation of Liselotte opened up a possibility

others are placed in the same state as themselves. Rio considered himself lucky enough to learn that much. And while he was delaying the matter for now, if he was lucky, it might not even be a problem at all.

After all, it was impossible for them to allow someone of unknown origin to meet the daughter of a high-class noble. For now, just being able to slap her lips on the nostalgic taste of this cuisine was enough.

“Thank you. The pasta soup is delicious. I'll go check out the Ricca Guild now .. I'll buy pasta and try the meat manju,” Rio said after eating the last spoonful of soup from his bowl, then leaving the stalls behind.

“See you later, Son,” said the two owners warmly to drive him away. Rio headed straight for the city gate, where he entered the city itself and walked towards the Ricca Guild to purchase pasta.

The main street of Amande, lined with shops and inns, runs east to west of the city. At its center, in a square that could only be described as the city's main location, was the main branch of the Ricca Guild.

So this was the headquarters of the Ricca Guild .. Rio stared at the stylish building made of wood and bricks. Soaring high above the surrounding buildings with a height of five floors, its high-class aura was almost astonishing. In front of the Ricca Guild was a small table, where rumored meat buns were sold. They were quite expensive for each of the two large coppers, but a queue line had been formed.

Rio joined the ranks, deciding to buy it before he entered. He handed the coin and took the meat bun from the shopkeeper; it was quite large, and the hot texture of the steaming was soft. It looks a lot like steamed Chinese bread. Rio moved himself to the corner of the square and with

eagerly prepare yourself for a meat loaf.

He stomped into it and felt a spicy hot soup spraying down his tongue, almost burning his mouth. As for the taste ... It was delicious, but .. He was surprised. It doesn't feel like what Rio expected from

something that looks like Chinese steamed bread. If he had to guess, he would say that the meat inside was seasoned with salt, pepper, and a lot of onions. Rio guessed that the ginger, oyster sauce, and sesame oil needed to make that distinctive meat bun taste might not be available here.

For the record, although it is impossible to find food with proper pronunciation such as Earth words like Japanese men and manju , products and livestock eaten on Earth also exist in this world. For example, wheat and other spices like salt are available here.

However, there are some ingredients that cannot be obtained in Strahl for climatic reasons, so remaking the same recipe and flavor from Earth is difficult. Once Rio made it through the Wilderness and arrived at the Yagumo region, he might be able to obtain some new materials that were not available in the Strahl region. If he did, he might be able to use Amakawa Haruto's knowledge to recreate some of Earth's dishes. When Rio's imagination ran wild in his head, he was done

eating meat bread.

“Thank you for the food,” murmured

stand up. The entrance to the building was wide open, welcoming anyone inside, like a grocery seller who had just entered. Rio decided to enter as well.

Immediately after stepping through the door, he met some female shop attendants waiting to serve customers. There is also a standby security guard, positioned where most customers will not notice its presence.

“Welcome to Ricca Guild.”

After noticing Rio's arrival, all the shopkeepers bowed politely as they greeted him. Their practiced movements clearly shocked Rio. Then, a girl

young with beautiful wavy hair stepped towards Rio.

“Master, we apologize for the inconvenience, but guns are banned in the store. If you have something on you, we'll happily hold it for you until you're gone.”

The beautiful girl smiled gently yet kindly.

He looked to be Rio's age, if not a little younger; young enough to be a shopkeeper in training. But strangely there was something mature about the way the girl held herself back. Him

wearing the same apron uniform as the other maids, yet she was filled with elegance that would rival a noble princess.

“...I understand.”

Initially startled, Rio then agreed and started taking off his weapon: the sword at his waist, two hidden daggers, and some throwing knives. A second officer came to take Rio's weapon.

He asked Rio's name for administrative purposes, which he answered with full confidence: “It's Haruto.”

Rio was still wearing his robe with a hood over his head; while he knew it was not a good thing to hide his face, it was a typical look for adventurers, he said, and the shop seemed to have no complaints, as long as he let go of his weapon.

“Do you mind if we do body check?”

“No, please.” Rio raised his hand with a nod.

“Sorry,”

said the female servant while starting to examine Rio's body gently. The investigation was completed in a few seconds, and the girl assumed Rio was completely disarmed with a nod to the other officers.

“Thank you for your cooperation, sir. I'll now take you into – please follow me. ”

At the shopkeeper's instructions, Rio went to another room, looking at the shop while walking three steps behind him. The first floor is a spacious open space with several conference rooms open for shopkeepers to discuss business with potential customers. Rio was led to

a room like that. The rooms were closed with partitions, so discussions would be kept secret as long as they kept their voices low.

“Please sit here.”

The girl offered Rio a seat on the soft sofa in the room, which he received with a thank you

compassion. He then sat down on the opposite chair, facing her.

“One more time, welcome to Ricca Guild. My name is Lotte, and I'll help you today. Nice to meet you, Mr.” Lotte lowered her head politely.

Based on his age, Rio considered him just a servant in training and expected others to come and meet him instead, so he was caught off guard rather. However, he was not stupid enough to let his disappointment appear on his face. Seeing Lotte's mature mannerisms, which rivaled those of noble princesses, made Rio convinced that she was more than enough to take care of him.

Could he be …? No. A silly thought flashed in Rio's mind for a moment, but he immediately thought of it as very unlikely. Judging by Lotte's lack of clumsiness, which is a hallmark for a beginner, his abilities may be legitimate. Rio steeled himself and greeted him respectfully.

“Thank you for your hospitality. My name is Haruto. I travel alone due to certain circumstances, so please forgive me for using my hood like this.”

Rio's greeting was carefully calculated; Lotte wasn't polite enough to ask the customer to take off his hood, but if she said it this way, she would come to her own conclusion about

his condition. Even so, she could catch a glimpse of Rio's face under the hood where he was sitting right before her. The delicate features of his peeping appearance made his eyes widen slightly surprised.
