The Seirei Gensouki Spirit Chronicles
Chapter 2's

“The knife is in your hand. Because you were the one who decided to stab me, the defense

I am more than allowed. Or are you telling me to shut up and let myself get stabbed?”

“Ap .. T-No, but ..” Gene hesitated, suppressed by Rio's indifferent tone and gaze.

“You should stop the bleeding quickly. It's not a fatal wound, but it's also not something you should ignore,” Rio said, causing Gene to return to Assil gasping for breath.

Rebecca tried to do emergency first aid to him, as he had ordered Chloe to take alcohol and a clean cloth.

“I will remove the knife and sterilize the wound. It's going to hurt, but you have to hold it in,” Rebecca said, before removing the knife from Assil's thigh. He screams in pain.

Rebecca washed her wound with alcohol, then wrapped it in a cloth, instantly staining it blood red.

“A-What should we do? Blood ... ”

An inflexible rule to stop blood flow is to put pressure on

the artery closest to the heart. However, amateurs tend to fall into a panic and end up only putting pressure on the wound itself. Rebecca is a classic example of an amateur,

when he saw the bright red cloth he was confused. … This lot got what they deserved, but

I think the owner is innocent .. The only one involved

in the battle is Rio, Gene and Assil – Rebecca are innocent third parties.

Seeing her desperately trying to stem the flow of blood, despite the lack of involvement, was more than Rio could bear. Sighing, he sharply approached Assil.

“Please move.”

“Hah?”

Ignoring Rebecca's confused voice, Rio easily lifted Assil's larger body. He could only do this by secretly improving his physical body with essence.

But for everyone around them – including Gene and Rebecca – it made Rio look like he had incredible strength, making them all freeze in confusion.

Rio brought Assil to a corner of the room and untied the fabric bandage temporarily, finding the right pressure point to stem the blood flow and pulling him tighter. Then, he put

his hands over the wound and chant spells for healing.

“Cura .”

The mystical, faint light dimmed from Rio's hand. However, there is no spell formula – no magic circle, the – appears beside him, because Rio's strange constitution prevents him from doing magic. Instead, it mimics the flow of essence in a magic formula to perform the same phenomenon as magic itself.

For anyone with a little knowledge of magic, Rio's actions would seem very suspicious. No matter how few ordinary people could handle magic, using such a supernatural ability in front of others was enough to inflict

apprehensions. That was why Rio brought her to this corner, where the audience could not get a clear view of her treatment.

Thankfully, Assil closed his eyes to avoid seeing her red legs, giving Rio the chance to heal her enough to close the wound. Once again, he took Assil to where they were before and laid him down, unbinding the cloth that had put pressure on him

blood stream.

“I've stopped the bleeding, but you should refrain from vigorous activity for at least a week. Otherwise, the wound will open again. It will hurt, but you should be fine walking again from tomorrow,”

Rio explained nonchalantly to everyone there. They barely listened with their mouths agape in shock. Silence enveloped the room for a moment. Then –

“A-Are you serious ..?”

“He cured her with magic?”

“Hey, is he really a noble?”

“Sial, this is bad. Touching a noble carries the death penalty. ”

Instantly, a murmur of fear and unrest spread throughout

chamber. Rio, however, watched the reaction of the people in the room with

cold, look for anyone who sees the irregularity in his actions.

As a result, he decided no one saw anything strange. As soon as he arrives

at that conclusion, he no longer had any reason to remain in the cafeteria.

“Chloe,”

Rio called out the name of the girl who froze behind the table. He was in the middle carrying a bucket of water

go into the room to clean the blood. The moment Rio saw her jump out and stumble backwards with her small and frightened body

Rio smiled a little miserably and returned to his room. The next morning, Rio

leaving the inn before the sun even rises.

“Thank you very much for healing the injured adventurer last night. The situation is under control because of you,” Rebecca said, bowing her head deeply towards Rio at the front desk.

“Please don't worry about that. It's not something you should be grateful for,” Rio shook his head with a forced smile.

“No, it's my fault .. I didn't do help sooner.”

“Adventures fighting in bars is an everyday occurrence. You won't be able to break each one of them down. What is wrong here are the interested parties: myself, and two others.”

Rio defended Rebecca so that she did not feel guilty. Last night, it was Rebecca who brought water and buckets to Rio's room. He had apologized many times in that time, making Rio feel very bad for him.

“So please, don't let it bother you. I have to leave now,” Rio said, trying to leave as soon as possible.

“Umm, will you bring a lunch box with you instead of breakfast? Please wait here for a moment, I will pack now! I'll also refund your room fee.”

Rebecca took the coin purse from the table; she had probably prepared it beforehand. Rio shook his head in confusion.

“There's no way I can receive a refund. I've received more than enough service from this inn. ”

“Then let me make your lunch, at least. Breakfast is also included in the cost. ” Without

waiting for Rio's reply, Rebecca placed the coin purse on the table and ran into the kitchen.

He was an honest and kind person, but rather than giving off a wise aura, he seemed to be the type that he was

easily fooled .. Rio noted his impression on Rebecca. He looks towards the kitchen to see Chloe and another unknown girl in an apron watching him back. They were hiding as their gazes met with Rio.

Chloe ... and her sister? He's still young. Chloe was about ten

years, his sister was clearly much younger. Having someone young helps

at the inn provided more than enough evidence that Rebecca was struggling.

Is this place run by three girls? I don't see any sign of her husband. Rio had not seen the owner since entering this inn. She thought the man might be working in the kitchen, but the kitchen was run by Rebecca.

… Yeah, whatever.

It had nothing to do with him, so Rio decided to no longer interfere in their affairs. That's when Rebecca returned with a neatly wrapped supply box.

“Sorry to be waiting. I packed it full of breakfast and bread. Chloe got up early to bake it, so I hope you enjoy it. ”

“Thank you for. Please tell Chloe also— ”

“Hei! I'm home!”

Just when Rio thanked her while smiling, a

drunk men enter the inn. He looked at Rebecca and staggered over to Rebecca.

“Honey! Don't tell me you're drunk again! ”

“Shut! I can drink anytime I want!” While screaming,

the man suddenly hit Rebecca. Rio was surprised, suspecting that this was her husband. And judging

from how he came home drunk in the early hours, he might not be a good man. An irresistible feeling approached Rio, but he did not want to follow through on it and complicate the matter of the family recording as before.

“Ugh ..”

But she could not allow this and felt helpless when she saw Rebecca touching where she was being hit in pain. Rio sighed and approached her. He pretended to cast a spell, and manipulated his essence to heal his pain.

“Hah? That ... doesn't hurt anymore? Thanks!”

Rebecca made a shocked face as her pain disappeared, but instantly understood what Rio had done and lowered her head in gratitude.

“What? What's he doing?” Meanwhile, her husband glared at Rio doubtfully. She did not understand what Rio had done, and was in an even worse mood after seeing Rebecca being defended.

“Stop! He's one of our customers!” Rebecca tried to stand in front of her husband in a panic.
