Chapter 3: The Abduction

The last delinquent brandished his sword desperately, but he could not even land his attack on Rio.

Dodging his sword, Rio moved to the man's chest, grabbed the delinquent's hand and twisted it with all his strength, disarming it and making him unable to hold the weapon.

He then beat up that bastard

with a throw.

“Haa... Haa..”

Before realizing that, his body moved on its own. It was strange for him to risk his life to save a little girl he had never met before.

Rio did not move a single inch from where he was standing, as he was out of breath. He felt his body temperature rise and his heart pounding so fast that he could

He suddenly recalled the whereabouts of the two girls and realized one of them was looking at him in awe.

The appearance of the two girls was so similar to each other. One of them was still trying to get out of the sack, while the other, who had been kicked was already free.

From their hair and face completely similar, Rio concluded that they were twin brothers. The one who caused the commotion earlier was her brother, while the one who was still trying to free himself from the sack was her sister.

“What.... are you okay?”

Still hard to breathe, Rio fearfully asked one of the twin girls. The big brother stared intently at Rio.

From his view, Rio did not believe that they were the same age. Rio's thinking came to a halt for the second time. Seeing the same geometric pattern shining, made him recall the moment the girl was kicked.

“O-Onee-sama, I just gave [Heal] so please don't move too much. Don't push yourself too hard...”.

Ignoring his sister's request, the older brother approached Rio and slapped him on the cheek.

“Eh?”

*Pan*a slap sound echoed around them. For this sudden occurrence, Rio could not understand what was going on.

Why is this girl angry with him?

Why did he even slap the person who had saved him? He was confused, and his cheek hurt.

“You observe us all the time, ‘right? If that's the case, you should have helped us sooner!”

Rio almost got himself on the slap for the second time. But this time it was

His face turned frustrated and he tried to use his free hand to slap her.

The young girl became hysterical and started shouting loudly. Rio started to become angry after experiencing such unreasonable treatment, but he could not treat a little girl like her badly.

The sister tried to calm the brother's anger.

express gratitude to him so he gives a short answer.

“What? What kind of attitude is that?” Rio decided to ignore the big brother.

“O-Onee-same!” The dangerous atmosphere had disappeared again as the sister reprimanded her brother.

“Hmph, I will forgive you for Flora”

The name of the girl was Flora.

Looking at her brother calmly, Flora breathed in with relief. But after that, his words were like pouring oil on a fire that was about to be extinguished.

Rio was astonished at her who ruled him so easily.

Yet no one called them because of the stench Rio gave off. After arriving at the market, the warrior immediately ran at Rio and the twin girls.

Christina and Flora were placed under their protection afterwards.
