Chapter 7's

Before he knew it, Latifa was outside the village. He had no idea how long time had passed; perhaps a minute, ten minutes, or even an hour. With all the other presences completely gone from her surroundings, Latifa finally stopped.

A quiet silence had fallen over the forest, with no sound other than the chirping of birds and the crying of small animals. The village was surrounded by several layers of powerful barriers; despite its weaknesses, it was generally protected from outsiders in most circumstances. Even if there was an intruder, the village soldiers would immediately run.

In addition, there is no road in the forest, so it is very easy to get lost – although Latifa can return to the village using her sense of smell at any time. There was no need for him to be afraid of getting lost or bumping into dangerous creatures.
