Episode 25 [Press Conference]

"Ariana?" Kevin broke Ariana's daydream, because he had been quiet for a long time.

"Yes, I will make a statement" Ariana said at the end.

"really? Accept ..." Kevin's words stopped because Ariana had returned to Emily's treatment room.

Kevin was still in his place, as he was unsure of what Ariana had said. Ariana did say aakn gave a statement, but what statement did he mean? Why didn't he say it? And why did he agree?

Inside Emily's treatment room, Fiona immediately turned her eyes to Ariana when she saw the woman enter. Ariana and Kevin's conversation looks pretty short, and Fiona is curious what the outcome of the short conversation will be.

Seeing her mother-in-law's gaze made Ariana smile to see her. Ariana sure must be her mother-in-law who suggested all that to Kevin. "What's up, Mommy? Do you want to tell me something?" Ariana finally spoke.

"Are you not taking good care of your daughter? How can the allergy recur? What kind of mother are you?" even if Fiona wanted to ask about Ariana's answer, she wouldn't say that and drop her own pride.

"Mother, it's not good to say that in front of a child, so we'll talk about that later. I thought, I wonder what I'm talking about with Kevin."

"I don't care!" Fiona emphasized her sentence.

"alright. Then, how's Mom doing? Is your health better?" Ariana showed her smile to her mother-in-law.

That smile again, Fiona goosebumps looking at Ariana's smile on her. Ariana's current smile was the same smile she showed before humiliating him by exposing Kevin and Camila's affair.

"Thank you for your concern, but I'm fine now." Fiona tries to look friendly because Emily is here. Ariana again asked her how she was and it gave her goosebumps again.

"Thank God, I'm glad to hear it." Ariana smiled at her mother-in-law.

At the same time, Kevin went back in and immediately approached Emily who called him and wanted to hug him. Kevin had a glance towards Ariana who only gave a flat expression to him. Kevin did not feel relieved after Ariana agreed to his request, but he instead became increasingly agitated.

"Where is he? Why wasn't she home this morning?" ask Emily.

"Dad took care of your Grandma. Later, if you're cured, you're going home with me, right?" Kevin wants to make sure that Emily is not taken away by Ariana.

"Yes, I want to go home with Dad!" Emily who was so close to Kevin of course felt happy when invited home together by her father.

Ariana knows what Kevin means, but she won't respond either. Ariana won't take Emily on the run like a criminal who kidnapped a child. If he ran away that way, Kevin and his mother-in-law would easily snatch Emily and the law wouldn't help him. However, if it had been the law that established that Emily lived with him, then no one would have been able to take Emily away from him.

Ariana took custody of Emily not because she wanted to keep Emily away from Kevin or his mother-in-law for ever, Ariana would not turn herself into such a bad mother figure. Ariana just wants to keep Emily from an environment that she thinks is already unhealthy.

The upload that dragged Kevin's name moved ever more wildly, like a snowball that was getting bigger and bigger. However, Ariana still did not give any statement, although his existence continues to be sought by journalists.

While Kevin may not appear, then say that all that is not true, because it will only be considered a form of self-defense. When Kevin asked when Ariana wanted to make a statement to straighten all this out, she only got an answer as soon as possible. However, I don't know when that will come soon.

From the news, Kevin has not seen Camila's whereabouts again. Even so, Kevin knew that Camila could not leave forever, the woman just waited for the right moment to corner him, then took advantage of him.

Until finally Emily was allowed to leave the hospital after two days of being treated there, Kevin's condition did not improve. Fiona has started to not stand all this, but Ariana is still silent, even though she heard from Kevin that Ariana agreed to do what was asked. Fiona wants to talk to Ariana, but is hindered by her pride.

"When do you want to make a press conference? The stability of my company is starting to be affected. I know you're mad at me, but please clear up this misunderstanding." Kevin talks to Ariana after they get out of Emily's room.

"Why not just look for your girlfriend? You just marry her, and all your problems will be over. He just wanted you to marry him, that's all and very simple. You're responsible, too, right?" Ariana spoke as she walked away from Kevin.

Kevin grabbed Ariana's hand and made her stop, then said, "Don't switch the conversation. Straightening all this out is for Emily's sake. Do you want Emily to be labeled as having a father who is considered an abuser? You agreed too, right?"

"Stop taking Emily so you're pitied. That sounds disgusting" Ariana said.

"But okay, I'll do it soon. When do you want me to do it?" and Ariana again.

"Today too. I'll arrange everything."

"All right, just do it as you please." Ariana brushed Kevin's hand off, and left.

"She agreed, but I was feeling very uneasy" Kevin murmured.

In accordance with the agreement, Ariana attended a press conference that Kevin prepared for her. Kevin even gave a note of what to say. Ariana was so sick of seeing the note, so she just threw it in the trash.

"I know what to say, so there's no need for such a note." This is Ariana's answer when Kevin asked why the note was discarded.

"Are you playing games with me?" Fiona, who was also there, asked Ariana.

"If Mom thinks I'm playing games, then we'll just stop this. Is that what you want?" Ariana replied casually.

"Stop, Mommy. The press conference is about to begin, so don't ruin it." Kevin warned his mother.

"He just looks unbelievable" Fiona said.

"Then don't ask for my help."

"Who asked for your help?!" Fiona quickly replied to Ariana's words and her tone sounded quite high.

"Mother, I beg you." Kevin began to dizzy to face his mother who could never be silent and let all the problems quickly pass.

In the end, Fiona chose to leave the room instead of having to go back to the hospital for fighting Ariana. Not long after Fiona left, the press conference began. Ariana walked into the press conference room and looked at all the reporters who had come to hear something from her.

This is really embarrassing for Ariana because she has to explain all the embarrassing things that happened in her life. Ariana clenched her hands as the memories of Kevin and Camila's kiss kept coming to her mind, then Camila's pregnancy, and how Camila was so bold as to say her love for Kevin. All of that made him sick and angry at the same time.

"Thank you to everyone who has been here. Today, I want to set the record straight about the upload that dragged my husband. I want to say .." Ariana's sentence was stuck and everyone was waiting for her to go on, including Kevin and Fiona.

On the other hand, Mark, Eric, and Camila were seen watching the live broadcast of the press conference that Ariana did and they were also waiting for the continuation of Ariana's sentence, especially Camila and Eric. Camila and Eric did not expect Ariana to hold a press conference. They were afraid that everything would go awry.

"I apologize for the commotion that occurred because of the upload. I was so sad and ashamed of what my husband did. As a woman, I understand the feelings of women who experience such problems. Therefore, I will try to keep them safe." And Ariana's continued sentence was a shock to everyone who wished she had said otherwise.
