Episode 61 [Opening the Heart]

"So, are you going back to Korea?" Ariana asked Mark who was now looking to nod his head.

"Yes, even though I want to stay here longer, but my job there can't be left much longer" Mark replied.

Ariana already knew that this would happen, but she just did not expect that her heart would feel this sad. This may be sad because it will be abandoned by a friend who has been almost three weeks always with him, that's what Ariana thought at first. However, her sadness felt the same as when Mark left her when the relationship was still there.

"When are you leaving?" ask Ariana again.

"I'll be gone in two days. Tonight, I'm gonna talk to Emily about not feeling guilty about leaving." Mark really doesn't want to go, but he has responsibilities to do. Actually, Mark also felt afraid if he was too long near Ariana, then it would make Ariana feel disturbed and uncomfortable.

"Emily would be very sad to hear this."

"Are you not sad?" Mark quickly replied to Ariana.

Ariana did not say anything, she just fell silent and stared fixedly at Mark. Ariana was certainly sad, but she hesitated to tell Mark that. Isn't everything too strange to say?

"I'm kidding. I'm just back in Korea and we can meet again at a later time, so what's sad for?" Mark spoke again with a smile, then drank the coffee that Ariana made for him.

"I'll serve the customer first." Ariana got up from her seat, then returned to her duties as a cafe owner.

Mark hoped that Ariana would say that she was sad if she had to part with him, then ask him to stay here or at least say that he would wait for her to come again. However, Ariana may never want to go that far and Mark has promised to respect Ariana's decision. Seeing Ariana live well and happy is enough for Mark.

When Mark talks to Emily about his return, Ariana, who hears about it from outside Emily's room, can only be silent. All of his time with Mark has crossed Ariana's mind, like when Mark took care of Emily when she was sick to help her cook when Mark was invited to dinner. If Mark doesn't say he's going back to Korea, then Ariana won't realize how sweet all those moments are.

Ariana realized something was starting to change with her heart, but she still did not want to talk even though she had realized it all. Ariana is afraid that all the sweet moments will hurt her later if she gives a greater chance to enter into her life. Ariana wants to be happy, but she is afraid of getting hurt again if she is too happy.

Emily who heard the news that Mark was leaving would feel sad even now she cried and hugged Mark tightly while telling Mark not to leave. "Will Uncle come back?" asked Emily in her tears.

"of course. Uncle promised he'd come to see you often, so stop crying." Mark rubbed Emily's back.

Emily now looked at Mark with teary eyes, then issued a sentence that made Mark very surprised. "Dad also promised to come back, but Dad didn't come back." Emily's tears flowed more and more as she said all that to Mark.

"Uncle will really come back for you, then we can learn and play again. Do you believe in Uncle?" Mark spoke while wiping Emily's tears.

Emily's head nodded slowly. "Promise?" emily said afterwards, raising her little finger.

"Promise." Mark welcomes Emily's little finger and is linked with her finger.

While Ariana was still in place earlier, continued to pay attention to the closeness of Mark and Emily who look so natural. Ariana is happy to see that closeness, but how do I get rid of her fears? There was someone who was sincere to him, but he was too afraid to accept that love.

The day Mark had to leave Canada. Emily wants to take Mark, but he has to go to school. Ariana never said she would come to the airport to take her, so Mark would not wait for her, even if Ariana had come here.

Mark is seen sitting and playing mobile while waiting for the scheduled departure of his plane. Mark opened the gallery to see his photos with Emily and Ariana taken while out on a weekend trip after Emily returned from the hospital. Mark couldn't help but smile when he saw Emily's sweet face.

"She's beautiful, like Ariana" Mark murmured, still smiling.

"Mark's." Then, Mark was surprised by the presence of Ariana who was very unexpected.

Mark immediately stood up and still could not believe what he was seeing right now. "Ariana, why are you here?" ask Mark.

"Of course to meet you." Trust me, Ariana had thought about everything she would do today after Mark said he would return to Korea.

"Meet me? Wh why? You didn't even say you were coming here."

Ariana stared fixedly at Mark, then took a deep breath and exhaled. "Are you coming back for me too? Not just for Emily" Ariana said.

"What?" Mark was made even more surprised now. Mark doesn't want to expect anything, but Ariana's remarks make him wish that Ariana is waiting for him to come back, then open her heart to him.

"I'll be waiting for you. I was afraid of getting hurt again, but I was more afraid of regret for not trying to achieve my happiness. So, come back for me." Ariana smiled so sweetly at Mark.
