Episode 41 [Gaming Ariana's Attention]

In the past, in addition to being a photographer, Ariana knew that Mark had dreams of traveling the world to help people, especially children who could not go to school for various reasons. Ariana recalls Mark saying that he may not be able to help everyone in the world, but at least there is good he left after death. Mark said something like that when he was a teenager and he's really doing it now.

Mark along with those on a mission with him has helped several children from different countries to get the education that is their right. Right now, Mark is calling one of those kids and he's introducing Emily. They were connected via a video call, so Ariana could see how sweet the 10-year-old and curly-haired girl who now spoke to Emily in Korean was quite eloquent. Although the sweet child is not from Korea, but he can speak Korean because it was taught by Mark.

Emily, who previously kept crying and thinking about her separation, now seemed to forget about it and was so interested in hearing the story of the sweet girl named Luna. Ariana also realized one thing, namely her house was neat when abandoned, as well as Emily when she went to school with her hair neatly arranged. Mark looks like a man who's used to doing household chores.

"Emily seems interested in visiting Luna. What are you gonna do with that?" Mark talked to Ariana while Emily was still listening to Luna's story about where she lived and the neighborhood of her school, and what was interesting there.

"If he's drawn there because he wants to help his less fortunate friends, then that's a good thing. I will support him" replied Ariana.

"So, would it not matter if I introduced Emily to something I did?" ask Mark again.

"As long as it's a good thing, then I don't matter. Emily is easily curious about new things, such as when studying origami, she will not stop until she can finish it. I'd be happy if there was someone directing her curiosity at things that would be beneficial to her and others." Ariana spoke at length and made Mark smile to hear her.

"Emily will definitely be a smart child and her intelligence will be useful to people." Mark feels himself to be Emily's father who will always be ready to monitor his development and be the one who will always be faithful to direct him on a useful path.

"When are you going to start your show again? I see a lot of people missing you" Mark said.

"So, I'm still not sure. I'm afraid people are just curious about my personal life, not my performances. I'm tired of asking questions like that. I was also worried that my current status would change others' views of me. I know, I shouldn't care about that, but all this time I've been trying hard to prove that I'm different from my mom, so I can't ignore that." Ariana seemed comfortable telling Mark.

"Yes, we can't really live by ignoring that, but we can set it aside, right? You've proven yourself enough and you've become a great person. But the truth is you don't have to prove anything because you're a good person and there's nothing wrong with your status, so you don't have to worry."

Ariana smiled at Mark. Talking to him like this makes Ariana like going back in time, when Mark talked as if he would not leave, but in the end left him, just like Kevin. Remembering Kevin made Ariana's smile disappear again.

"I'll cook dinner first. You want to have dinner here, right? Next time, I will definitely treat you" Ariana said.

"Yes, I can't wait to try your cooking." Mark smiled and Ariana went into the kitchen afterwards. Mark is joined by Emily and Luna.

By the time dinner time came, Ariana had finished cooking and the food had been served on the table. Although his mind is quite chaotic after receiving news from Wilda that Kevin is not aware, Ariana still looks calm in front of Emily.

"During not meeting. I've heard everything and what's happened to Kevin at the moment" Eric said awkwardly.

"Yes, long time no see." Ariana was also awkward.

"Ariana .. sorry .. I'm sorry for what happened that night. I didn't mean to do it." Finally this sentence came out of Eric's lips. At the same time, Eric realizes that Mark is inside. Eric didn't expect Mark's move to be this fast.

"We forget all that. What do you need to come here?"

"I'm delivering this." Eric handed over the wedding invitation to Ariana. Eric really wanted to cancel his marriage, but his mother threatened to remove his name from the list of heirs and leave all his assets to Selena, his future wife. God, Eric doesn't understand why his mom likes him so much.

"I will definitely come" Ariana said after receiving Eric's wedding invitation.

"Can I come in for a second? I haven't said hello to Emily in a long time." Eric is looking for the best reason to ascertain the extent of Ariana and Mark's closeness.

"Yes, come in." Ariana who felt bad if she refused finally let Eric in.

Seeing Eric come in and say hello to Emily, somehow Mark felt that was not the reason Eric wanted to enter Ariana's house, especially when he saw the man several times glanced at him. "When are you here?" Eric's even asking questions right now.

"Since last night. I'm keeping Emily here, but let's not discuss the reason" Mark replied.

"Keep Emily?" Eric confirmed what he heard. As far as Eric is concerned, Ariana is not the type of person who can give trust to just anyone, let alone Emily. If Mark can be given that kind of trust, does that mean they're back close?

"Yes, I'm looking after Emily" Mark replied again.

Meanwhile, Ariana had to open the door again because someone pressed the doorbell again. When the door opens again, Ariana sees Fiona's presence. Ariana felt an uncomfortable aura now.

"How long have you been separated from Kevin? Just yesterday and you brought two men to your house. Did you realize that it set a bad example for Emily. Is this your real self?" fiona said after seeing the presence of Eric and a man who had been caught on camera with Ariana. It seems that guy was the one who was looking after Emily. So, they're that close?
