CHAPTER 17 ~ Suspicious ~

Leana accompanies her in-laws who are still hospitalized due to stress. His appetite decreased drastically to have to get food intake from the infusion hose. Everyday just stared blankly at the window to the right of the hospital bed.

Seeing the circumstances of her in-laws like that, Leana felt regret for secretly seizing the jewelry that Shanty invested in the investment company. Patiently the woman fed her mother-in-law. Sometimes the middle-aged woman was willing to eat even though slowly sometimes did not want to eat at all.

"How's Mommy doing, baby? Want to eat today?" tanya Radian who suddenly came and whispered in his wife's ear.

Leana nodded softly as she relaxed the forced smile. Radian sits on a sofa reserved for guests. Leana walked up to her husband and leaned against the chest of the male field. Radian stroked his wife's hair and dyed the top of her beautiful hair.

"Are you tired, baby? Do you want to go home now?" ask Radian.

The man felt sorry to see his wife who had been waiting for his mother since last night.

"Yes sister later, if Brother Monica has come to replace us," replied Leana.

"You also have to take care of your health and that of our baby, baby" Radian said in a soft voice.

Leana nodded, the woman wrapped her hands around her husband's waist and closed her eyes. Radian let Leana rest even fall asleep on his chest. When Monica arrives, Radian asks for permission to take his wife home, with a heavy heart Monica allows.

"He's tired of waiting for Mommy all day" said Radian, who had laid his wife on the couch and whispered to Monica.

"Yes yes, go home! But now she's sleeping" Monica said as she looked at the sleeping Leana.

"Silver brother just carry," said Radian finally.

"Hah, my brother's time so far carried to the parking lot," said Monica.

"We're going home, baby? You're exhausted, just sleeping at home is more comfortable," explained Radian directly to eliminate Leana's confusion.

"Alright but I walk alone, no need to carry," said Leana with a smile.

"It's okay that I can carry you," said Radian.

"Let's drop! I'm ashamed, please," beg Leana.

Radian finally took his wife down, then embraced his wife while dipping the top of his hair. Hand in hand the husband and wife walked to the car park.

"Thank you very much for your concern for Mommy" said Radian, turning to his wife.

Leana smiled and looked down at her footsteps on the basement floor of the hospital.

Why thank you, brother? I'm also involved in Mommy's grief. If I show her the jewelry I've snatched to her, she'll probably be very happy right now. Looking at the people who lost possessions while hers could still be saved. But that's not what I want. I want to see its destruction. I wanted to see his sadness, depression, despair and finally resign like I had felt before. "Sister isn't worried about Mommy?" ask Leana.

Radian stopped his kiss, then looked at his wife's face.

Leana nodded, then hugged her husband who had collapsed beside her. Radian felt sad and happy, sad because what happened to his mother caused Leana to worry so invited to make out the woman was like losing her appetite. However, Radian is also happy because it shows Leana's attention and affection for her mother.

In order to keep Shanty in the hospital they took turns to accompany him. Stay in a luxurious inpatient room with facilities such as a five-star hotel room presidential suite class. At night Leana woke up and stared at her empty bed next to her. Remember her husband who was staying at the hospital tonight. Leana woke up and sat pensively, her eyes no longer wanting to be closed even though she had tried.

Leana decided to take a drink in the kitchen. Get down one by one the stairs to the refrigerator. Leana turned on the lights because the lighting of the house had been partially turned off. The woman drank a glass of cold water then sighed. Sitting there for a moment and returning to his room.

"Rpaaaa! … Mamaaaa …!" shouted Leana who did not care anymore about the situation in the house.

Their photos are also piled up haphazardly and dusty. The diplomas even his father's awards in the business world to magazines that have covered his success scattered like worthless goods. Leana's heart breaks, given the family's treatment of her parents' belongings.

Unwitting of the woman, Monica, who was busy making video calls in her room, heard a strange voice. The girl also stepped towards the direction of the voice. Monica watched in wonder at Leana's suspicious behavior.

The next day Monica went straight to her brother who was accompanying her mother in the hospital. Monica reported everything she saw to Radian. Shanty's attention was piqued, the middle-aged woman who was just pensive was finally paying attention to Monica's story.

Radian's love for Leana leads him to believe his wife is not a bad woman so there is no need to suspect her behavior.

Radian's words weren't convincing enough for Monica. The girl continued to express her suspicions until Monica finally told him about the deal she could accept at the agency by handing over all the property to Leana.

Radian was very surprised as well as Shanty. Radian was even upset that Monica had not told him about the incident before.

"Mommy has also handed over ownership of our home to Leana" Shanty said.

"WHAT?" yells Radian and Monica.

Shanty finally tells the chronology of the transfer of the certificate of ownership of the house to Leana until finally remembered back to the jewelry that was the cause of her loss of the house. Shanty was crying.

Even most of our shares have moved into his hands. Why would he do that? Who the hell is he? inner Radian wondered.

"Leana is a businessman, he used to negotiate for profit. Leana didn't sacrifice anything to achieve all that. She lent Mommy money to buy jewelry, and you? He helped you get into an agency that you find hard to break through. You're the only one who's not good at using his help" Radian explained in defense of his wife.

Shanty and Monica were silent.

"She's a good woman, helping you get what you aspire to. I can't believe he's mean to us. He was so worried about Mommy that he felt worried at home. Nevermind! Don't think about it, look on the bright side, even though the house and the car and other possessions have become his, he didn't drive us away and you can still drive your car" Radian continued.

Shanty and Monica could only look at each other. Radian's words also made sense. They resigned and hoped that Leana really had no evil intentions on them.

While Radian shows trust and unsuspecting towards Leana, he secretly begins to investigate who she really is.

Thanks to the help of his personal assistant Radian knows the fact that Dr. Djamal's real daughter turned out to have died.
