CHAPTER 22 ~ Chance ~

Radian helps a father who was hit by a bicycle. Radian helped the father sit on a bench under a tree. After taking the map, Radian came back to the father.

"Is dad okay? Is anyone hurt? I'm sorry sir if I knew there was a father behind me, I wouldn't dodge. Let him hit me" said Radian, sitting next to the father and smiling.

The father laughed at Radian's words, nodding his head while patting the handsome man on the shoulder.

"You're a good boy, I'm the one who's wrong. Because many thoughts become unconscious when walking. I should have dodged it, too" replied the father. Radian nodded. "Actually you see you are also thinking a lot, what is it? If you can know."

"Yes sir, I've been looking for work for three months but haven't found a job. There's been a lot of companies I've been to but no one's willing to accept me. While my money supply has begun to thin," replied Radian without realizing it was pouring out his heart.

"Sadly, you're a graduate abroad but it's hard to get a job. Not because you are incompetent but maybe those who cannot pay your salary" said the father.

"But I'm not asking for a great salary sir. I just wish I had the money to eat and pay the rent. A big salary of course I want, but at this time no matter what salary is given I am very grateful," explained Radian.

"You're a foreign graduate but don't attach work experience? Has it never worked before?" ask the father.

They also arrived at the father's office, he immediately asked the head of HRD to face him. The father ordered to process Radian's job application and told the head of HRD to accept the man to work there. Radian felt like he was dreaming even afraid to feel crazy because he was unable to face the difficult reality he faced during his three months of job search.

"It's not a dream and you're not crazy. It's fate, I accept you to work because I'm impressed by what you said before" replied the father.

Radian was confused considering which speech was meant. The man hastily wiped away his flowing tears.

"Which words are you, sir?" ask Radian astonished.

"Your words that say that if you know I'm behind you, you won't dodge. Let it be you who got hit by the boy" he said with a laugh.

"Oh that, if I get hit by you, it's impossible to get hit again, right?" ask the Radian who doesn't need an answer.

"Your answer sounds so innocent but reflects the goodness of your heart. There are people who wish he was hit so others wouldn't get hit. I have never had such a form of kindness before" the father replied again and laughed again.

Radian just smiled while looking down. He himself did not know why he could say that. An event like this has never happened before. Radian just wanted to express his regret after seeing the father get hit.

The father laughed so loosely, while recalling the words spoken by Radian. In the end, it was hard to calm his own laughter.

"I haven't laughed in a long time, probably since my wife's death. I took a walk in the garden to remove the burden of my mind but I walked incautiously. Lucky to meet you," said the father.
