"Assalamu'alaikum" Ki Karta said as he threw a smile at Mbah Turahmin and Darto who had just finished praying.
"Gee... A card?! We want to go to your house after this plan, but we meet here instead," replied Mbah Turahmin in a smile and nod from Darto.
"You're healthy, aren't you, Min? I've been waiting for you for four months" continued Ki Karta while reaching Mbah Turahmin's hand that had been thrust first.
"Alhamdulillah, this is my grandson, Kar. His name is Darto, he who wants to take care of what we can not finish from the first," Mbah Turahmin said as he pointed at the grandson beside him.
"This young man? Subhanallah.. I guess you'll take care of everything, Min. But what can you do, Min?" Said Ki Karta slightly surprised, he was a little doubt that the young man in front of him would take care of all the problems that plagued for many years.
"I'm just a little shy compared to my granddaughter, Kar! Ha ha ha ha! He who was treated yesterday Kanti and trained Abirama," said Si Mbah chuckled softly, while wiping his grandson's head.
"You could have, Min. Are we going home now or after?" ask Ki Karta.
"Later out, rather than back and forth" Mbah Turahmin replied briefly.
After that, Darto and Mbah turahmin spent the Maghrib just joking with the villagers. Darto seemed to continue sweeping his gaze around the surau, although his mouth continued to answer a series of questions that Asep and Ujang threw. Asep and Ujang were immediately familiar with Darto, they immediately told a lot about what was happening in their village, and Darto can only tell them to be patient until the 1st of the suro which will come in two days.
"You can just sleep in my house, Dar. I'm alone, my parents have been displaced four months ago, later to try to sleep with us," said Asep offering a ride, accompanied by a nod of the head from Ujang.
"In the meantime," answered Darto briefly then moved to the place where Si Mbah was telling a long story with Ki Karta.
"Well, I'll sleep in Asep's house, okay? Si Mbah only stayed at Ki Karta's house. They say Aki has a daughter?" said Darto to Si Mbah Turahmin, then asked Ki Karta who was sitting next to Si Mbah.
"Yes, Dar, what's wrong?" karta asked a little confused.
"It's okay, Ki. Means menginganap me at Asep's house only. Afraid of bad talk from Aki's neighbors," said Darto then a little smile.
Hearing what Darto said, Mbah Turahmin and Ki Karta looked at each other, then widened together and agreed to the request that Darto submitted.
After Darto got Si Mbah's approval, he returned to where Ujang and Asep were sitting. He said he agreed to stay at Asep's house, after delivering Si Mbah's luggage to Karta's house. Asep and Ujang are happy to remember that there will be friends who visit his house tonight, they seem relieved that there will be one additional person who will take turns to keep watch.
It is undeniable, all residents of the village of Ijuk always sleep in a sense of anxiety. They are still afraid of the arrival of snakes that always appear suddenly, even though they have sown salt around the house as Ki Karta recommended.
Not long after the conversation, Ki Karta said to just echo the Adhan. Everyone immediately rushed to perform the isya prayer, and after that Darto and Si Mbah walked to the car they brought to reach for their luggage.
"Include, Dar. This is my daughter, her name is Gayatri" Ki Karta said just after arriving at her home. He introduced his only puppet princess who had just opened the door for them.
Hearing that, Darto turned his head towards someone who was being introduced by Ki Karta. After his eyes caught the face owned by daughter Ki Karta, Darto was stunned until he made a silence. Darto really could not throw his gaze, from the beautiful face he was staring at in silence.
"Dar! Conscious!" said Ujang while patting Darto's shoulder.
"Eh, Sorry. I am Darto, Ma'am," said Darto a little embarrassed because he was caught daydreaming when looking at Gayatri's face.
Seeing the movements of Darto, Ki Karta and Si Mbah immediately met with eyes again. They put on each other strange faces, then looked up at the innocence of Darto who managed to make Gayatri blush embarrassed. Even the two old men had whistled tempting Darto who now looked so excited, until his cheeks and ears bristled.
"So remember when we were young, Min. Ha ha ha ha!" ki Karta said.
"Yes! You used to fit in the first time to meet your wife even to become a gago! Eh..not gagu, but speech-tuning! Ha ha ha!" ledek Si Mbah was more widened until out of the circle of his eyes.
"Already dong! Just be ashamed, ha ha ha!" replied Ki Karta while pulling Si Mbah to enter her house.
After entering, everyone was treated to warm tea by Gayatri, then the girl sat in the living room with Asep and Ujang. The three of them wanted to hear an explanation of what Darto was going to do, on the night of one suro.
"Look, son, in our village there's a river. You just follow the river against the current, later you will meet the waterfall. As far as I knew from there the snakes came, I had seen their mother there," Ki Karta opened a serious conversation.
"Have you seen the big black snake?" tanya Darto was a little surprised.
"Yes, Dar. The snake is not alone, he has a partner" Ki Karta said in a slightly agitated tone.
Hearing the words, Si Mbah, Darto, Ujang, Asep and Gayatri were forced to round their eyes.they were really surprised by the sentence that Ki Karta had just uttered. Even Si Mbah immediately put on a pale face, considering that his grandson had to defeat two creatures that could even defeat his grandson, even if only one tail.
"This, Son. My friend told me to give this to someone who will come to help our village," continued Ki Karta while thrusting a green necklace and red ring that is no stranger to Darto.
"Sastro! The wajana!" shouted Darto with a furious face. He called out to the two caged creatures, inside the thing that had disappeared from his hand.
