ADJOINING REALM
A SECRET?

That night the three men in the living room were completely confused, they did not discuss anything even though curiosity was really lodged in their hearts. In the sudden silence Sastro came to meet Darto who was now sleeping on his back, he whispered something in Darto's ear to make Darto aghast to wake up from his sleeping position.

"Bah, there seems to be something strange about this village," said Darto to Si Mbah who fell asleep right next to him.

"Yes, Dar. I feel that someone noticed that we just walked here" said Ki Karta who slept next to Si Mbah.

"So, you guys feel it too, huh? I guess it's just me, so I didn't open the conversation from earlier" said Si Mbah as he sat up from his sleeping position.

"Barusan Sastro came, he whispered something to me Mbah," said Darto back, and immediately got a response that described the surprised look of the two parents in front of him.

"What did he say?" tanya Ki Karta accompanied by a nod to the head of Si Mbah.

"Say we tell Gayatri to take care," replied Darto briefly as he looked at Ki Karta.

Hearing that, Ki Karta immediately put on an unpleasant face. He looked so worried, considering Gayatri was the only treasure he had.

"Did I sleep with Gayatri, Dar?" keep Ki Karta.

Hearing that question, Darto and Si Mbah simultaneously nodded. They feel the proposal is very good, considering if anything happens at least Ki Karta can handle it swiftly. And after seeing the nod of the two men in front of him, Ki Karta stood up and stepped into his daughter's room.

"Tock.. Geck... Tok..," heard the door of the house on the tap three times. Before Ki Karta reached her daughter's room

Ki Karta stopped her footsteps, she stepped back into the living room to meet Darto and Mbah turahmin. And when Ki Karta got there, there was Mbah Turahmin who was pointing her index finger upwards in front of her lips. Darto and Mbah Turahmin were staring at the door and putting their ears on, for what was to come next.

"Tock.. Geck.. Tok..," again came the sound of knocking on the door three times.

Darto turned for a moment towards Si Mbah. After Si Mbah nodded, Darto approached the door to peek out of the window that remained beside the door. On his way, Darto had turned to look at the pendulum clock hanging on his left. And you can see clearly that the time has shown at 09.01 pm. Darto was a little hesitant to take a peek, given the message given by the homeowner not to open the door if anyone knocks.

"Tock.. Geck.. Tok..," again the voice sounded. Darto who was daydreaming remembering the message of the owner of the house immediately woke up from his delusion. He then advanced to the side of the door, and opened the curtains slowly to peek at the outside of the door.

"So! The double! Duak!" the door knocks turned into a blow. Everyone in the room was shocked.

Darto continued to squint, he could not see who was banging because the front yard of the house was depressed dark. Just keep on the sound of the bang was heard, even now the sound of the bang was heard louder without spaces. Clearly something was knocking on the door from the front, with a knock so loud it seemed to be in a hurry.

"OPEN UP!" the voice of a man with a high tone was so deafening. Even Darto to the point of aghast retreated from his standing position in surprise. Hearing that, Darto ventured to open the door, he grabbed the doorknob and...

"Son!" the sudden scream of grandmother was right beside Darto. He patted Darto on the shoulder to stop the action.

"Don't ngeyel, you can be wretched" continued the grandmother as she pulled Darto away from the door. He invited Darto to sit down and step back in leaving the three of them in confusion.

The sound of the door banging had not yet left, now even the voice of the screaming man was growing. What was once just one person shouting, is now a crowd of cheering time voices asking to be opened the door.

Darto, Si Mbah and Ki Karta were completely confused. They were eager to open the door, but the grandmother suddenly came back with three glasses of water on the tray. He presented the three glasses as he said, "Drink, so that you won't be disturbed again."

Darto did not immediately reach for the glass. Ki Karta and Si Mbah also did the same thing, they were hesitant because the old woman in front of him seemed to keep a million secrets that made him look so mysterious.

"You don't believe me? Then please just open it," said the old woman as she pointed at the door and looked at Darto with a condescending look.

"Well," answered Darto.

The grandmother was a little surprised to see the courage of Darto in front of her. He did not expect that there would be such a brave young man, even he was surprised because Darto stepped without a shudder and then grabbed the doorknob without hesitation.

Grandma's face was so pale when Darto looked at the grandmother while turning the doorknob, and after Darto managed to open the door, the grandmother's face immediately sweated. His eyes continued to glance in all directions, even though at the door there was not a single person standing.

Darto was really surprised to see the courtyard so quiet, he was even prepared if he would get an attack from a subtle creature, but none of it was seen in front of the grandmother's house.

"Let'soooooo!" Peeking Gayatri from inside the room, she screamed as she could at that moment. Grandma and the two old men behind Darto rushed to his room, but when the door was opened, Gayatri was already standing right in front of the door. He was covered with a part of his face covered in hair. Darto who came last knew immediately about what happened to Gayatri. He rushed forward but the action was stopped by the owner of the house.

"Why, Grandma?" Darto asked a little sniffly, he felt unhappy because his help was stopped.

"He's not your friend" replied Grandma as she held Darto's shoulder.

"Yes, I know. Grandma just stay here. Let me take care of the rest," ketus Darto then brushed off the hand of the grandmother and touched the forehead of Gayatri who was standing with feet floating in front of them.

The grandmother was really surprised to see the action of Darto, she gradually put on a face of admiration after Darto easily drove out the creatures that possessed the body Gayatri. His attitude immediately changed drastically when Darto finished laying Gayatri on the bed of the room.

"Son... Are you studying?" Grandma suddenly said. Then he said, "Who taught you that?"

Darto just turned his head, he did not immediately answer, in his heart he was a little hesitant to answer grandmother's questions, because Darto felt if the grandmother was keeping a secret that Darto should not know.
