Hearing Grandma's question, Darto was quite hesitant to answer. Darto was silent for a moment but the curiosity of the grandmother so peaked that he again asked about the same thing to Darto. But Darto was still silent, instead of answering Darto instead tried to feel the energy that felt bad when he entered the house.
"Son? Why silent? Are you also studying? Who taught you?!" grandma said for the third time, she slightly raised her tone.
"I can only, Grandma. I did not study, but I studied at the pesantren" replied Darto as he looked at the face of the grandmother who began to look furious, because it did not get an answer from Darto for the two previous questions.
"Oh so that's it, I'm we're you're great. All right, you better get some more sleep" said the grandmother then left everyone. He entered his room opposite Gayatri's.
"Ki Karta is better here, if Gayatri wakes up, call me. I want to go ahead first, something keeps calling me," said Darto then got a nod from Ki Karta and Si Mbah.
Seeing the nod of their heads, Darto immediately walked towards the living room and opened the door again. The condition of the yard is still the same, the atmosphere is plastered silent, only this time there is a foul smell that strikes to greet Darto's sense of smell after the door opens.
Darto completely vomited, he could not resist the excessive nausea in his stomach. The smell is really more foul smell than anything that Darto has ever kissed so far. But even so, Darto did not undo his intention to get out of the house, he continued to walk while covering his nose, towards the rambutan tree not far from the house.
"Hey! What do you want?" darto said after arriving under the rambutan tree. He spoke to himself at the time.
Darto could feel if there were subtle creatures that occupied the tree, but his eyes could not catch the existence of these creatures. Obviously Darto could not see, because the creature was hiding in the tree.
"You better get out of the house" a man's voice suddenly echoed. His voice was the same as the voice of someone who had banged on the door before.
"Oh, you were the one who knocked on the door?" said Darto while channeling energy in his hands, then directing to the tree where the sound came from.
"Argh! Forgive me!" the man shouted while coming out of the tree trunk in front of Darto. He was in pain after receiving the energy that Darto channeled into the tree.
Seeing the form of a man who came out of the tree, Darto vomited again at that time. The man who stands... No. gabe. The man who was lying down only had half a body. He had no lower body, only a head to the stomach. His mouth splattered under his cut body, blood marks splattered on every place he passed, the figure walking by dragging his body using both hands of his.
"What do you want?! Yuck!" Said Darto without turning his head, he vomited while turning his back on the figure.
"The owner of the house is dangerous, Den. I am one of the victims" said the figure of the man then stuck his head on the ground. He was terrified after feeling the Darto attack.
"Well... I guess what, I just pity the owner of the house, if he snakes the two grandfathers inside is an eagle. There's no way the prey will eat the predator, ha ha ha ha!" Replied Darto while leaning his back on the rambutan tree. Now Darto is looking at the figure carefully, although nausea still can not be handled fully.
"You just go, don't bother us anymore" said Darto a little pushy. He still could not bear to see the condition of the figure in front of him.
"Good, Den. I say goodbye then," said the figure then walked slowly dragging the body back into the tree.
"Oh yeah, what's your name?" Darto spoke for himself.
"I'm Yanto, Den" the figure said without revealing himself. He spoke from inside the tree.
"Yanto, Yes? There are more questions for you. After that, I'm asking you not to bother people anymore, can you?" Said Darto while cleaning his own mouth.
"What, Den?" Yanto replied while showing his head, the rest of his incomplete body was deliberately hidden in the tree, so that Darto did not vomit again.
"I knocked on the door at the request of the owner of this house, no one can be missed, I was also told to knock on the door of Nek Ijah's house if there are guests, so that the guest is afraid," replied Yanto.
"So? Everyone in this village is scared because of you?"
"Yes, Den. I was ordered so that people would be afraid, so that Grandma Ijah could find prey freely. There's been a lot of girls missing, and all the guys are afraid to go out for the night,"
Hearing Yanto's statement, Darto was completely shocked. He only found out if there was a human who was even more savage than the demon who had once been his opponent.
"How much?" Tanya Darto was curious.
"I forgot, Den. But obviously it is very much," replied Yanto.
"How many times does he look for victims each month?" Tanya Darto returned after not getting the answer she wanted
"Every night on Friday kliwon, Den,"
"What did he actually do that for?"
"I don't know, Den. But I always see a powerful creature that comes every time he gets a prey,"
"Yes, you can rest. If tomorrow I still hear news of you knocking on the door, I send you to the afterlife," threatened Darto with a roared face.
"Den?! Can you send me to the afterlife?"
Darto was really surprised to hear that, he did not expect his threat would be responded to with a question that was far from his expectations.
"You want to die?" Tanya Darto.
"Please, Den. I go around knocking on the door every night just to die, Den. Nek Ijah promised to send me if I did," Yanto said with a plain look.
Darto really could not accept anything Yanto said. He was even immediately confused because what was used as a threat was actually the greatest desire of the person he threatened.
"Why do you want to die?" Tanya Darto is back.
"Do Aden think I'm happy living like this? My wife and son are already eating Grandma Ijah. I can't meet them if I'm still tied up here,"
Hearing Yanto's words, Darto immediately looked at the man with a look of pity, he let out a light on his stairs, then grabbed Yanto's forehead while saying, "Go home. You're free. Your wife and son may be eager to meet."
Slowly fading, the middle-aged man yawned like a puff of smoke. He said a word of thanks before disappearing perfectly, and Darto only responded with a smile.
