After arriving at the village persimmon, everyone in the car immediately laughed at the behavior of the boy who was chasing their car by running. Shortly after that the dzuhur adhan sounded quite loud from the wooden mosque which was not far from their position. Darto decided to park the car in front of the mosque, then rushed to the mosque to perform the prayers of the dzuhur worshipers with the villagers.
After completing the prayer, Darto immediately asked for the address given by Abah Ramli. And fortunately the home address listed on the paper was not so far from the mosque, plus the residents questioned by Darto were willing to take them to the address.
After five minutes of walking, Darto and his three travel companions had arrived in front of a simple house. A bamboo booth walled house with a thatched roof that is very different from the neighboring houses. After dropping off Darto and three others, the residents who offered the assistance immediately went home and not long after that Darto immediately knocked on the door of the house in front of him, after the backs of the people who drove him were no longer visible.
"Assalamu'alaikum!" darto shouted while knocking on the door made of wooden boards. The door had no hinges, just lying around to close the hole that could be considered a door bone.
"Wa'alaykumussalam!" said a middle-aged man from inside the house. He hurriedly lifted the wooden board he used as a door leaf, and shifted it slightly so that he could get out. After he finished sliding that door, he immediately asked briefly "What's wrong?"
"Sorry.. Is this really Mr Akbar's house?" darto said after seeing the man had finished moving the door.
"My own, who are you?" ask Mr. Akbar.
"Sorry sir, I just want to take your grandson," continued Darto while pushing Jaka's shoulder to get closer to Pak Akbar.
"Grandson?" said Mr. Akbar while continuing to pay close attention to Jaka with the eyebrows that are linked. Before he finally rounded his eyes and said "Sari's daughter?!"
The man immediately hugged Jaka without any cue, he continued to stumble while stroking the rough hair of Jaka. Before she finally said "Is your mother okay, Le? Her life is good, right?"
Hearing that Jaka just nodded, then he handed over his mother's necklace and said, "Si Mbok told Jaka to give this to Si Mbah."
Mr. Akbar immediately grabbed the necklace in Jaka's hand, he grasped the necklace so tightly and then kissed his own hands that were still clenched. He started to tear before he finally told us to go inside his house.
After entering the house, Darto and three others could only be stunned after seeing the condition of the house. There were no tables, no mattresses, only pandan mats and a pillow wrapped in a glove tucked into the corner of the room. The situation suddenly made Darto's small heart scream, he did not bear the circumstances that Mr. Akbar had.
"Mother lives alone here?" darto asked after Mr. Akbar presented four glasses of bitter tea on a tray, the glass he used was completely worn out.
"Yes, Son. My wife died five years ago," she answered briefly then asked Jaka "Your father is healthy too right Le? What was your name?"
"Father is dead, Mbah. I'm Jaka, Mbah," Jaka replied straight to the point.
"Inalillahi.. She why? Not because of.." said Mr. Akbar stopped his eyes sweeping all sides.
"Thank God, but why did you get here without an elder? In the past your father could not be far from a step, you know," continued Mr. Akbar back.
"Include, Mbah. This Kang Darto. Elders Ramli just nitip salam and he said that Jaka should introduce Kang Darto. He is the person we have been waiting for, Mbah, Jaka is free now" Jaka said at length, pointing to Darto who was listening to the conversation.
"Sorry, Son. I can not give a proper treat, this is all I have," said Mr. Akbar slightly lowered his head, he was surprised after listening to Jaka's words. But on the one hand he felt ashamed for not being able to give a standing welcome to someone who might save his daughter.
"Don't do it, sir. I apologize for being troublesome" replied Darto as he looked at Pak Akbar with a smile.
After seeing Darto smile, Pak Akbar immediately felt relieved. He again spoke with his grandson, in the conversation, Mr. Akbar said something that made Darto back moved. In a sad look, Mr. Akbar said "Jaka... Just bring this necklace. In the past Si Mbah deliberately sold a house to buy this, this is all that Si Mbah can give for the happy day gift of Si Mbah's daughter. Lagian Si Mbah no longer need a lot of money, can eat once a day is enough. And Alhamdulillah Si Mbah's neighbors are all good, they often give Si Mbah food in turn."
As sliced, the small hearts of Darto, Harti, Ki Karta and Jaka are very sick. They could not bear to hear the fate to be borne by the person sitting before them. Darto looked pensive for a moment, before he finally said "Let me just buy the necklace, sir. Hows it? I'll give you three times the market price."
"Sorry, Son. This necklace is not mine anymore, so you cannot negotiate with me," replied Mr. Akbar with a straight look, he did not flinch when Darto offered a very high price.
"Well then sir," said Darto, nodding and turning to Jaka, "So what, Jak? Can I buy this necklace?"
Jaka confused by the words of Darto, he looked at Si Mbah who continued to shake his head and turned to Darto who continued to raise eyebrows continuously. In his confusion, Jaka really wanted to help Si Mbah from falling, but he did not want to make Si Mbah feel disappointed with his decision.
"Where, Jak?" tanya Darto returned after not getting a response from Jaka.
"Good, Kang. I agree," said Jaka a little hesitant, he swallowed when he just finished speaking.
Mr. Akbar seemed unhappy, he was downcast, but he could not prevent it at all after he said that it was not his thing anymore. He just silently saw Darto who was pointing one arm to Harti, while pointing four fingers from the other arm. Not long after that Harti issued 40 pieces of banknotes numbered 10,000 rupiah from his bag.
"Four hundred thousand is enough, isn't it, Jak?" connect Darto.
Jaka again gulped, he did not know how much money was in front of him. Because during his life had never done a transaction, and only did farming to survive and meet his food needs. But seeing the rounded Currency of Mbah Akbar, he immediately nodded while guessing the amount of money that Darto offered, he was sure if the amount of money in front of him was far from a little word.
