Morning greeted again, it seemed Darto and a group of middle-aged men had gathered in front of Darto's house. With more than enough equipment and supplies, they finally began their journey to the mud swamp.
It appears that each man carries one hoe in his hand, and the other hand holds a burlap sack containing food. They went on to break the rice fields, then entered the forest and continued to spread the trees in front of them.
An hour, two hours, to tens of hours they pass with vigor. The wages they received were equivalent to the harvest from their fields, so it seemed that everyone continued to smile as they stepped foot. Unceasingly, the joke continued from the lips to the lips of everyone at that time, a different journey from what Darto had done.
Long story short, at this time all the men had already laid down their bodies, the night had greeted, fourteen hours had already passed from their departure. Another case with Anto and Darto, the two men were still awake, when everyone had fallen asleep that night.
"So remember first, Dar?! We're going through here with Satya" said Anto, slamming his gaze toward the ground.
"Yes Tok, I'm kangen with him," said Darto looked up, seeing the constellations that kept flashing above his head.
"If only he was still there, now maybe he was whining, saying his legs hurt" said Anto who now also looked at the dark sky above them.
"Haha-that's really you, Tok. Now we just pray that his journey will be smooth there," replied Darto a little laugh, putting a bitter face in his smile.
"I slept first, Dar. Just wake up if you're sleepy, let me take care of it later," said Anto then spread the sheath she originally wrapped around her neck, continued leaning against the tree behind her.
Seeing Anto asleep, Darto unconsciously fell asleep also in his sitting position, so it did not feel the time sahur had returned to say hello. Darto rushed to eat the provisions he was carrying, and woke up all the men.
When the dawn prayer has been fulfilled in worship, without waiting for a long time they continue their journey back. Continued to dart into the dead forest, and decided to rest after arriving under the banyan tree where Darto planted the bundle first.
Some men decided to take a shower. But another with Darto, at that time he advised Anto to lead all the men after tomorrow morning greet. Darto went alone to the swamp first, considering there was still a task that he had to complete that afternoon.
Darto did not cross the riverbank, he passed the path that Lastri used when carrying Dining, and it only took two hours for him to reach the mud marsh. When Darto got there, the sky was completely yellowed, Maghrib time almost greeted. Darto is now struggling to stick twigs after twigs on the ground, going around the swamp to signify the place to be dug by the group. And finally Darto rested again when 19 twigs were perfectly planted on the land.
After completion, Darto took ablution in the swamp, then rushed to perform magrib prayer on the edge of the swamp. Not long after Darto finished praying, he took out the stone that the grandmother had inhabited from his bag.
"Nyi..please call buto here," said Darto to the grandmother who had appeared before his eyes.
Hearing Darto's words, Grandmother's face gradually paled, she felt afraid, but also could not refuse Darto's orders.
After a long silence, the grandmother finally began to close her eyes. He began to whisper a random word in front of Darto, until suddenly a calm swamp began to show ripples with water that began to surge.
The old woman did not answer, she turned to Darto and whispered to Darto "If the buto is not destroyed, I will die, Den."
The grandmother looked scared, she felt worried if she did not report herself to Nyai Gending. And to respond to the grandmother's fear, Darto reopened his voice, "Thank you, please rest again. As long as I am alive, God willing, no one will bother you."
The grandmother gradually put on a relieved face, she felt a little helped from fear after hearing Darto's words. He said goodbye to go back inside the stone and said "I will always pray for your safety, Den."
After the grandmother left, Darto immediately turned to buto ireng who was installing a vigilant position on the edge of the swamp. He did not dare to go up to the mainland, considering that he had been defeated by Darto and his friends.
Buto Ireng continued to sweep his gaze towards his surroundings, and when he could make sure Darto was alone then he laughed out loud.
"Ha ha ha ha! you're so arrogant, boy! You came alone?! Guys, comehere!" yelled buto ireng so loudly, his voice echoed until it bounced many times.
Not long after the buto ireng shouted. Swamp water rippled again, and after that appeared four figures that had the exact same shape and appearance as buto ireng. Darto this time faced with five buto ireng simultaneously.
"Hey! We have a victim! tonight we will eat her soul, although I prefer the soul of a holy woman" said one of the butos after arriving in front of Darto, he went around the body of Darto who was still sitting cross-legged while continuing to recite.
"How do we divide his soul?" said another buto who is now also circling the body of Darto.
"Then, how about this?! Whoever manages to give the last attack, he who gets his soul," the first buto ireng timpal appeared earlier, his speech got a grin from the other four butos.
"Oh? you think I'm alone?" said Darto suddenly, then smiled with a confident expression emblazoned.
Hearing Darto's words, the five butos immediately jumped back. They kept their distance because they were quite surprised by Darto who suddenly opened his voice.
"Ha ha ha ha! I was still afraid to come closer. You are cowards who have no hair!" tejek Darto while getting up from a sitting position cross-legged. After Darto stood perfectly, he again called the two parents who continued to help him. "Sastro! The wajana! Let's get this over with!"
Hearing Darto's call, Sastro and Wajana immediately appeared beside Darto's body with a smile on his face. The three of them immediately put up a ready position with their backs to each other, with five buto ireng figures who continued to keep their distance and circled the three of them.
