ADJOINING REALM
THE ONE WAITING ARRIVED

Days kept changing, it did not feel like five days had passed since the last trip buried Dining in the dead forest. After being tired of doing activities today, now I am busy immersing myself under the shower that comes out of the bamboo stem in the latrine behind my house.

"Dar..give me two glasses!" yelled for the third time.

"Mbah Jiih! Darto put on some clothes first!"

I replied in a loud voice, so that Sewan could hear from the front room.

I rushed for water all over my body, using the used sarong I made as a towel and continued to wear the same clothes as the clothes I was wearing earlier this morning. After that I went to where the plates were lined up, I took two glasses of zinc in green, and I sprinkled a minute of dried tea leaves for each glass.

Followed by hot water from inside the red thermos patterned flower of the father's legacy. And I brought two glasses of bitter tea on the tray to the living room in front.

"This is Mbah minu." My voice stopped, my mouth locked. When I saw that sitting in front of Sambaran were two people who kept haunting my mind.

Yep! They were the two people who killed Dining. I saw Stepmother Dining sitting in front of the bed and the man sitting next to her with a lethargic face and looking tired, plastered in their look.

I put 2 glasses of tray in front of them both.

"Please enjoy" I said with trembling hands. It trembled with overflowing emotions, and also trembled with fear due to the jet-black figure clinging to it like in a clingy sling behind the back of Stepmother Dining. His eyes kept glaring straight at me.

After Simbah gestured for me to quickly leave the room. I hurried off to leave and went into my room. From inside my room, I close my ears to the wooden wall that separates the room from the living room to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"What does Las need?" ask the Mbah

"Before, introduce Ki, my name is Suroto, I and my future wife want to convey something Ki" said Suroto, the man who killed Dining, while giving an envelope.

"Well, wait again it looks like there will be another celebration. Lah Dining, where's Las?" Sewah asked again pretending not to know the truth that happened.

Heard a question from Sambarah. I can imagine from inside the room, if they both must be putting on a frantic face and confusion to give an answer to the question.

"Di-Dining is married Ki, now she lives with her husband in the city," Suroto replied in a stammering voice.

"Ki, we'd like to ask for help. I've been disturbed almost a week with delicate creatures. We can't sleep every night" said Lastri.

"Just a moment Las, let me see first," there was the sound of a daze talking like that, and then a silence struck for a while.

"I don't know what the same demit mean to you Las, but he kept saying the word 'return', and he asked you to come quickly to the swamp," keep Si Mbah back.

From the narrow hole of the wooden wall divider, I peeked at the next room. The frightened faces of both of them. Their hands trembled violently, as the sembah said the Swamp.

"Actually what swamp is Las?" tanya Sewah pretended not to know.

"I don't know Ki either, well then please leave. Thanks for the time, Ki,"

said Suroto with a frightened face, hurriedly stood up then pulled Lastri's hand, and hurried away from home.

"Mbah Jiih!" my answer continued running into the front room.

"Drink Dar, they don't touch the drinks you love" said Simbah as he pushed the tray on the table.

"Where's Mbah? did the Mbah ngusir the black creature from the back of Miss Lastri?" manya curious.

"What's Dar doing? let's know how they feel!" answer the question with his hands open the envelope that was thrust 2 murderers.

"What a pity Dar, if only this was halal money. Sewage can buy complete tobacco same menan and others stock five months more,"

said seimbah and showed off three sheets of green warma paper. The picture shows two men pulling a piece of mine, bearing the words BANK INDONESIA, TEN THOUSAND RUPIAH, 1964 which he took out of the envelope.

A very large amount of money, we could not even sell all the cassava we planted in the back of the house.

"What do you want the money to be?" manya curious.

Without answering, Sewah grabbed the kerosene match lying on the table. Then burn the money in front of my eyes.

"If only Dar we don't know the origin of this money," said Sewah chuckled to see so much money almost run out on ***** the red guy.

"What is not dear Mbah?" I asked with a heavy heart, seeing the two most money sheets I've seen in my lifetime, it was already halfway to black ashes.

"This is still one whole sheet Dar, just use it if you want. After all full in the world also does not last a day Dar, but the sin that we can have to be borne forever in the hereafter there," Tukas Simbah with a smile knot at the end of his lips.

"Hi! The nauzubillah! That's how the Mbah used it!" I welcome laughter from both of us.

***

The time continued to pass, it was past four days from the time Bu Lastri and Suroto visited to meet Simbah. So far, there has been no word from either of them. Some said he had returned to the city, and others testified that they had seen them walking north.

The news came alone when Anto and I were busy with helping to harvest corn in the fields that Satya's parents had.

Not finished half the fields we harvest, it appears from a distance someone ran. Hurriedly headed towards us while shouting calling the names of the three of us.

"Lastri's dead! Let Dar, Tok, Sat, let's go home, "we'll help with the funeral process of Dining's mother, '' said the man with a breath of breath, because they continue to run for help from villagers who are mostly during the day in their respective fields.

"Inalillahi Wanalillahi Roji'un" said the three of us in unison.

Without thinking. As fast as lightning we pack the harvest that has been harvested since morning. Then rushed home to carry the corn on our shoulders. Leaving half the planned crop will be in the next day.

"Sat.. Tok... we met in aja yuk, help pray with lifting the corpse, most Pono who dig the grave," said I close the story of this chapter.
