ADJOINING REALM
THE MBAH TURAHMIN

Darto's trip this time really feels smooth. The road that was originally filled with rows of rocks, has now become a smooth road made of asphalt.

It only takes four hours to get to the stall owned by Pak Riski, but it used to take more than seven hours to get there.

After stopping to fill the stomach and rest, Darto, Dava and Harti again continue the journey because they do not want to waste time.

It seems that Pak Riski and Bu Yati are really very surprised to see Darto who has not changed at all. They thought Darto was someone who looked unchanged, and still looked young despite his age was much more mature than the last time they met.

After leaving the grocery store owned by Pak Riski, Darto again drove the car with above average speed. He was really in a hurry until it felt like four hours had passed.

The forest that originally took eight hours to pass, now only takes half the time. Remembering the first road that was plastered very far from the word neat and also filled with gaping holes in the middle. Unlike now which is very smooth so that Darto can spur his car at any speed.

After arriving in the city next to the village of kemoceng, Darto continued the journey without rest. He immediately drove towards his hometown, following a path that was still made up of rocks.

The road to the village of Darto has not been paved. So inevitably even though the rush of Darto still prioritizes safety. Darto drove his car at a slow pace and continued to advance by occasionally avoiding potholes.

Within an hour and a half, finally the village substation that read the bell was seen from the steering chair. Darto immediately shot and put his car in front of a completely different hangar.

The once wooden hangar has now become one large mosque that is twice the size of before. The breach looks like it will be a magnificent building, although the construction is still not completed in the works.

After parking his car, Darto immediately grabbed all the luggage in the trunk. Dava also brought some of Harti's luggage, then stepped on foot to the house that Darto had left for a long time.

Darto really is like a newcomer in his own village. He was even confused by the number of alleys in front of his eyes. Though there used to be only one path that leads to his house, but now it is filled with houses either have who stands firmly in every corner of the eye to see.

After a long time around. A house that was exactly the same as the one in Darto's memory was finally clearly visible before the eyes of the three of them.

Darto who saw the house of Si Mbah did not change at all immediately felt overwhelmed by what he saw at this time.

There are so many memories from his childhood that Darto had in this house. Memories of getting friends, loss, hostility, even affection from his little family.

Although Dava and Harti see the condition of the house is very quiet. But what was in Darto's eyes was completely different.

The images from his childhood memories really seem real. As if Darto was seeing Dining, Satya, Anto and himself who were running around in front of the terrace. With the Mbah who always reprimands every time they make a tantrum or when he feels worried his grandson will fall.

Little memories that might feel natural to everyone. But it will feel so precious when everyone in the memory is gone.

Seeing her husband daydream, Harti patted Darto on the shoulder and immediately Darto left his daydream. Darto was even surprised and shocked by the clapping of his wife beside him.

Seeing her husband shocked, Harti immediately knew that Darto was drowning in daydreams that reminded her of her childhood. As for Dava who knew nothing, right now he could only shut up, and wait for his parents to open the door first.

After that, Darto fearfully opened the door of his house while saying hello. They immediately entered even though there was no authorization, and immediately went to the room that Si Mbah always used.

When walking to the room of the Mbah. A young man of Dava's age came out of the back room. He stopped Darto, Harti and Dava by blocking the way and said, "Who are you?"

"Who are you?" darto replied with a very confused face after seeing the young man in front of him.

"You don't remember Dava, An?" ask Harti with a smile on his face.

"Still young is senile you, An," continued Dava.

"Bude Harti?! Wah ... Aan briefly call Mr. Si Mbok at the back. They planted beans in the Mbah Min garden" cried Aan after clearly remembering two guests who had come to the house he and his family were visiting at this time.

Not long after Aan went to the back, Anto and Sri entered with wet feet and hands. They just finished washing the soil attached to their bodies and immediately met Darto Harti and Dava in haste.

"Darto!" Shouted Anto while cringing into his arms. He felt very happy to see his little friend still alive and well after a long time of not meeting.

"You're so old, Tok!" Said Darto with a clear bulb flowing in the corner of his eye. Darto really felt time was a betrayal to him, because it took so much age from all the people closest to him.

"You're a freak, Dar .. How can you stay young?!" Sahut Anto while taking off his arms. Anto continued to watch the face of his best friend carefully, full of wonder and disbelief.

"Later to tell you, Tok. Which Mbah is it?" darto answered directly to his main goal.

"In the room, Dar. Hopefully after seeing you he can be healthy, Dar. I've called Mantri to smart people, but they all say that the Mbah does not hurt" said Anto while pointing at Si Mbah's room.

Hearing that remark, Darto immediately walked towards Si Mbah's room. He asked not a single person to come, because Darto wanted to talk alone with his beloved Grandfather.

Everyone immediately agreed, then waited in the living room and let Darto in and locked the door of Si Mbah's room from inside.

When Darto came in, whether it was a coincidence or indeed it was the plan of the Almighty. The Mbah whose skin has begun to turn blue can still be spoken to by his beloved grandson. After seeing the condition of Si Mbah, Darto immediately approached and continued to look at Si Mbah who had begun to have difficulty breathing in front of him.

"Mr ... Darto went home, Mbah," said Darto while sitting next to the couch. He held the cheek of Si Mbah Turahmin who had skin so thin.

"Darto?! You're my grandson Darto?" said Si Mbah while looking towards Darto. Si Mbah actually spoke in a staggered tone, he asked like a dazed person, with a look of disbelief clearly plastered on his face.

"Yes, Mbah ... Darto has returned. Thank you very much, Mbah. Because you have been patiently waiting for the return of Darto," said Darto with a raucous voice while kissing the cheek of Si Mbah. The clear thread began to fall back from the corner of Darto's eyes, as his forehead leaned against the old man's temple in front of him.

"Aalhamdulilah ... Si Mbah is so afraid of you why-why, Dar. Si Mbah will be confused about what story Darmin and Asih will be there, if you have not yet returned when Si Mbah left," said Si Mbah while stroking Darto's head. Si Mbah's hands really shook, it seemed that his body was very weathered and did not have as much energy as before. But strangely at this time Si Mbah spoke in a smooth voice, his tone no longer faltered and impressed he was fine.

"Tell them the same if the grandson of the Mbah has almost completed his task. Tell them that Darto is very affectionate and longing. Titip greetings also for Kakung, apologize Darto for not being able to see his last moments," said Darto. Darto really knew, if Si Mbah had tried desperately to just survive with his weak body.

"Then the Mbah goes to sleep, Dar. Si Mbah was tired," said Si Mbah as he looked at his grandson with a loving look.

Hearing the words of Si Mbah, Darto immediately close his lips to the ear of Si Mbah, then whisper the phrase shahadah, to send the return of his loved ones.

So smoothly Si Mbah followed the sentence that Darto said. Then he closed his eyes, and went to meet everyone he had ever loved in his life. Today the Mbah Turahmin came home right after the return of her grandson, she fell asleep with floating lips, symbolizing the happy feeling that was clearly drawn on her face.
