Siddarth's Defense

The second kingdom had been successfully conquered. Siddarth returned to Astapura to draw up plans for a third kingdom. The third kingdom had a King who and a member of the kingdom who was adept at fighting, one of the reasons Astapura delayed conquering this kingdom until the right time.

Siddarth entered the palace gate, he saw Gayatri who immediately left the castle fortress after seeing himself coming. Siddarth got off the horse and headed for the ladies' palace.

Gayatri was not in her room. Siddarth toured the woman's palace but did not find his wife. The waiter in the women's ward did not know where Gayatri had gone. After circling the women's palace, kitchen, and Odissa finally Siddarth found Gayatri in the backyard of the women's palace.

Gayatri was looking at the plants growing there with a sad face.

“No need to look for me, your royal affairs are more important”, Gayatri said as she realized Siddarth was slowly closing in on her.

“ Long before we got married, we had fought a war conquering the small kingdoms. The Astapura mission unites Hindustan into a great land” said Siddarth again asserted his reason for the war.

“After reuniting Hindustan then what? Don't you know the karma you'll receive after torturing and killing innocent people?” tanya Gayatri still looked at the flowers in the garden. His eyes began to stifle withhold the dike.

“We are at war with the blessing of Mahadeva! All the blessings we received came from Mahadeva, which is why we have never lost a war!” siddarth said in a fiery manner.

Gayatri turned her face to look at Siddarth, when she heard the name Mahadeva mentioned.

“How could you call Mahadeva, while Mahadeva himself is a symbol of peace and compassion. What gift does Mahadeva give to his followers, so that you feel entitled to the blood and land of others!!” Gayatri raised her voice. Gayatri felt her head and body hot. Both of its sides clenched tightly.

Gayatri immediately pushed Siddarth's chest away.

Does one wife want her husband? All night Gayatri could not sleep thinking about her husband going to war, when her husband arrived all she received was Siddarth's anger. To this day Gayatri always asks himself, why would he stay in Astapura if it would forever be a bird in a golden cage? He had no freedom, everything he did was always wrong in the eyes of the palace people.

At least Siddarth did not turn to him, not even asking him the news. Married for diplomatic relations? Gayatri felt there was no benefit to Dwipajaya. The quality of textiles sent to Dwipajaya declined, while his father exempted taxes on Astapura's ships leaning on the port of Dwipajaya. What's in it for us?

“I came here to draw up a new plan while taking you for a short walk. But it seems like the atmosphere is not good, when I come back from the war remind me about taking you to the streets of” said Siddarth

The two were silent for a moment while enjoying the view in the garden that afternoon.

The atmosphere was quiet, only a few insects were back and forth. After feeling Gayatri did not respond to his words, Siddarth left Gayatri alone.

Since meeting her, I have not properly said my greetings. If the time comes, I will be earnest with my promise to the inner Daneswara King Siddarth to keep his promise before leaving the port of Dwipajaya.
