Gayatri Threat

The morning sun's rays burst in through the room's vents. Siddarth and Jhanvi squinted their eyes avoiding the incoming sunlight. The two men pulled up a mosquito net, and got out of the bed. Seen by them Gayatri carried a tray containing incense, and a worship offering, the end of the saree looked wet.

“Today's Surya Puja. Get up and sit down, Gayatri shook the incense smoke to the two people in front of her. Siddarth took Sindoor in the tray and rubbed it on Gayatri and Jhanvi's forehead.

“My husband, I want to talk to you, can you come with me for a minute?” ask Gayatri gently.

Siddarth frowned, a habit he often did when he felt astonished and alert. Siddarth tells Jhanvi that Jhanvi is reluctant to release Siddarth but she realizes that Siddarth is not his. Siddarth looks Jhanvi in the eye, assuring Jhanvi that everything is fine. Siddarth stroked Jhanvi's cheek gently and kissed her forehead then slowly disappeared from Jhanvi's sight.

Gayatri stood in her training room. The cososng room behind the women's ward that leads directly to the side street of the palace. Seemed an expanse of wild grass and gray soil.

Siddarth stood beside Gayatri, asking for more explanation from his first wife who seemed silent for a few seconds. Gayatri twisted her body, now she and Siddarth face each other. Gayatri looked at Siddarth's face. The man looked calm. Gayatri took a slow breath before making her point.

“Is it true that you mixed the seed-killing potion in my diet during our marriage?” ask Gayatri

“Bar” replied Siddarth did not dodge Gayatri's question

Gayatri no longer felt as sick as when she first heard the news from Gunjana.

“I checked my contents on the healer after the Surya Puja” ceremony

“Then?” siddarth asked indifferently.

“Even if my food is free from potions, it will be of no use to my uterus for having drunk those herbs for a long period of time. My uterus has dried and died”

“Your chances and my patience have run out, if it is true that my womb is dry then you will never get what you want” said Gayatri without a single blink. He looked at Siddarth inside.

“Just do it if you think it's gonna prevent me from getting what you want. You live and live in my land, you make little noise then hell is where you” threatened Siddarth.

Siddarth leaves Gayatri for the palace.

“Strictly guard around the palace and the bedroom of Jhanvi, the maid is obliged to try all the food before it is handed over to Jhanvi, Gayatri should not approach to the kitchen, linen room, Palace or Odissa. Whoever dares to break this commandment I myself will cut off his head.

Jhanvi started to get scared. He did not expect Siddarth to do that, the seed-destroyer. The herb has strong side effects. Jhanvi is lucky Gunjana and Rishi miss the day where they have to mix the potion. God blessed her womb with the growth of a son.

“My son, mother will always look after and protect you. I will risk my life for you nak” Jhanvi stroking her stomach. He could feel a small kick in his stomach.

Jhanvi's space is increasingly limited. He was easily tired, his legs started to swell. His breath is sometimes severed if he has a lot of activity. Although Siddarth said Gayatri could not get close to his residence, Jhanvi remained worried that Gayatri would harm him.

“My husband, don't you think that Gayatri can come at any time? he has attracted the sympathy of everyone in this palace, they can help him with various ways” said weak Jhanvi.

“What if Gayatri is moved outside the palace and guarded his movements, I am calmer if it's like that” pinta Jhanvi.

Siddarth thought for a moment and agreed to Jhanvi's proposal. That night Gayatri was forcibly moved from the palace to the outskirts of the city without being noticed by the people of Astapura.
