Three Men

At that time there were three mighty men in the land of Hindustan. They were Sri Narendra the sole heir of Astapura, Saurabh the prince of Suballa kingdom, and Gopal the prince of Indrajaya.

These three men love to hunt, archery, and horse riding. They are competing to be the strongest.

Time keeps passing. The three men eventually married and had children. One by one he became king of his kingdom and began to rule.

One day the sad news approached Sri Narendra. His father died at the age of 93. Before he died, his father advised Sri Narendra to rule Hindustan and become the leader of this nation.

Sri Narendra has no power to refuse. Although his little heart refused, the command was still the command. Sri Narendra swore on his father's ashes that all his descendants would do their utmost to fulfill his father's request.

One by one the kingdoms in the land were controlled. Sri Narendra no longer knew the friends, relatives and family before him was death and power. He who is weak, he who is submissive, he who opposes must die.

Gopal, who was aware of the atrocities committed by Sri Narendra, strongly refused Sri Narendra's request to join Astapura. For Gopal Sri Narendra who had been considered as an older brother was now just a cruel demon who thirsted for blood and power.

Saurabh was deeply saddened to hear of Sri Narendra's changed character. He tried to persuade Gopal to be more patient with Sri Narendra but Gopal refused. Gopal severed his fraternity with Sri Narendra.

Saurabh strengthened his heart to meet Sri Narendra. Saurabh did everything in his power to get Sri Narendra to stop his intentions but Sri Narendra refused.

Saurabh came home empty-handed. Sri Narendra refused the path that Saurabh offered.

The time when the kingdom of Suballa must face the ferocity of Astapura. Gopal came to Saurabh's aid but in vain. In the midst of the war, Saurabh protected Gopal, whose head was tried to be cut down by Sri Narendra.

Saurabh's body fell from the horse and hit hard on the ground. The sound of crumbling bones managed to distract all the creatures on the battlefield.

Gopal shook Saurabh's stiff body. His blood was spilling over Gopal's hands and clothes.

Sri Narendra was surprised to see Saurabh's body inundated with blood. He ordered his troops to retreat leaving the battlefield.

Since then Sri Narendra has temporarily halted the expansion of Astapura.

His witness stared at his father's body in the ceremony of death. The body was devoured by fire on a pile of burnt wood. Everyone dressed in white attended the ceremony. Next to her Saxonya saw *Sonarika hit her chest adventuringly begging God to return her husband, instead she was the one who was taken.

Mute, no answer. Sonarika's voice clashed with prayers for her father. The whole Suballa is mourning.

Gopal who brought the first torch just stared at the growing flames. The smell of charred bodies covered the entire area.

The witness did not understand, why should his father be the victim? even after his father's death the war continued as if his father's sacrifice on the battlefield was meaningless.

That day, clinging in his memory his father's gray eyes were opened. His witness approached, whispered the word good-bye and then closed his father's eyes with his palm*.

"Dad, dad, dad!" shouted Saxony.

"What's wrong? sonarika asked her Saksenya.

His son woke up from his sleep. The story of his mother's three men tell of his witness to his father's death.

His witness buried his face on both of his palms.
