The first chicken tree woke Gayatri. He prepared all the adoration equipment. Gunjana and Rupika help Gayatri bring offerings to the Mahadeva temple.
"Hurry up, the sun is almost up" Gayatri ordered.
The three men hurriedly climbed up the temple.
"tinggggg" the clanking of bells rang stopping Gayatri, Rupika, and Gunjana's steps.
Not long after, I heard a sweet song. A woman's voice.
"Who is doing this early worship" asked Gunjana in surprise. The three of them looked at each other while trying to guess the owner of the voice.
Another voice recited the compliment. A heavier voice, a man's voice.
"Let's leave this place" ujaf Gayatri took a thousand steps leaving the temple.
Gayatri, Rupika, and Gunjana were arranging offerings and preparing incense to burn in front of the Mahadeva statue.
Siddarth came to see him. He asked if they had finished worshiping Siddarth wanted to talk alone with Gayatri.
"Meet me in the back room of this ward at noon" Gayatri said without looking at Siddarth.
Gayatri offered praise to Mahadeva. Today's worship is longer than usual. Gayatri just wants to spend time with Mahadeva until noon.
"Mr princess, eat. You haven't eaten since last night" persuaded Rupika.
Gunjana was still sitting in the room, staring at the statue of Mahadeva.
"You must eat so that you have the strength to face Mr. Siddarth" Gunjana persuaded Gayatri.
Gayatri was crushed by Gunjana's persuasion. He ate, took a shower, then put on makeup. He went first to the back room of the women's ward.
The room features three windows sculpted directly on the cement surface. During the rainy season, the room was very muddy. Gayatri took off her footwear letting her bare feet touch the dirty floor. He waited for Siddarth there as he looked at the weeds that had begun to dry from the window.
The middle of the day has arrived. Gunjana and Rupika hint at Siddarth's arrival and they leave the couple.
"Why did you choose this room? aren't there many other beautiful places in this palace?" ask Siddarth wonder.
"In Nusantara private talks are conducted in a closed room. There are doors and windows too. This is the only room I think fits" Gayatri said. Not one bit he looked at Siddarth.
Well, Siddarth followed Gayatri's will. They stood with Gayatri looking out the window while Siddarth looked at Gayatri's back.
Siddarth spoke at length about his relationship with Jhanvi, their customs and marriage.
"Jhanvi won't stay in the women's ward without your permission. He lives in Odissa with the dancers" Siddarth explained.
"Because you are the legitimate wife of Siddarth Sri Narendra" Siddarth said.
"You married him without asking permission, so why do you do that now? this place is your land and your family home. I just put my dad here" Gayatri asked again.
"You're mad at me?" Siddarth asked back.
"No, I'm disappointed" said Gayatri lirih.
"I don't have much time to tell you. It happened so fast. In the near future China will attack Hindustan. Understand that Jhanvi is the only one who can help me". Siddarth tried to explain his condition.
"Do you remember your promise to my father?" ask Gayatri
Siddarth fell silent.
"A man's promise is like a mountain. Not exceeded" said Gayatri slowly. The tip of his lips trembled.
"I promised your father I'd take care of you. Not to not marry again. Isn't it common for a ruler to have a concubine? even you have a real mother and a stepmother" Siddarth said. He didn't feel there was anything wrong with his actions.
Gayatri hardened her jaw. He closed his eyes for a while before staring at the cynical Siddarth.
"It's just your promise, try to remember your other promise" Gayatri looked at Siddarth's face.
Siddarth frowned. He remembered the promise he made to Daneswara.
"That's all I'm saying" Siddarth said after being convinced there was no other promise he made to his in-laws.
"Is there anything else you want to say?" tanya Gayatri shifted the conversation.
"I will visit you three days and Jhanvi three days. One day is my business. Jhanvi will be staying in Odissa. When she has offspring she will stay with me and the royal family in the palace, until you give birth to my offspring. The decision will take effect when you have children" Siddarth said.
"What kind of rules is this? didn't I remain Siddarth's legal wife at all times?" inner Gayatri. He tried to hold back his emotions that had already erupted in his chest.
"Be fair to your wife. If you cheat, you never know what I'm going to do" Gayatri said, intimidating Siddarth.
Siddarth smiled cynically at Gayatri's threat.
After Siddarth's death, Gayatri dropped herself to the floor. He normalized his heartbeat. His breath was hunting, his eyes were reddening.
"Look, I'm not messing with my threats" inner Gayatri wrathfully.
