"Hey how could this be possible?" rishi asked Gunjana.
"Of course, Mr. Siddarth has been blinded by love. You see, he looked at Madhayaprasta's daughter in love" Gunjana said.
"What are you doing, quickly gather in the temple. The wedding is about to start" Sanjana reprimands the servants who are busy gossiping.
Rishi and the other servants ran towards the temple.
"Oh God, how could this possibly happen. Mr. Siddarth carried princess Jhanvi through 99 steps, in order to arrive at the Mahadeva temple" Rishi said.
"Master didn't even do that to Gayatri's daughter" said Gunjana, who was met with a menacing look at Sanjana.
Gayatri ears are hot hearing Gunjana ramblings.
Gunjana's right. At that time Siddarth requested that the ceremony around the holy fire be conducted in the palace courtyard for the reason, we had just traveled far from the archipelago.
Today they had been riding horses for miles, Siddarth still forced himself to carry Jhanvi in front of the pandita.
Gayatri looked at the 99 stairs that appeared to be looming before her. He and the others could only stand on the first step letting Siddarth fight alongside Jhanvi.
When Laksmi left, Gayatri thought her position was safe. But the presence of Jhanvi made her hesitate again.
Jhanvi comes from a noble family, the only daughter of the king of Madhyaprasta. Gayatri heard Janvi had studied martial arts, war, politics, and government since childhood.
There was nothing left of her other than the label as Siddarth's legal wife.
"What do you think, son? Jhanvi is just a concubine. There's no need to be afraid. Be happy. Believe Siddarth will be fair" the Queen Mother calmed the restless-looking Gayatri.
"Your daughter is fine" whispered Rupika.
Gayatri nodded weakly.
Moments later the wedding ceremony at the temple was completed. Siddarth carried Jhanvi on his shoulders while descending one by one the steps.
Siddarth looked happy, while Jhanvi smiled shyly while hiding her face on Siddarth's shoulders.
Siddarth takes Jhanvi to Odissa.
"Let's stay here for a while" Siddarth said. He had prepared the most beautiful, spacious room inside Odissa.
"You and Gunjana eat this food" said Gayatri, she did not lust after the food that Rupika brought.
"Ahh, Mr. Siddarth is on his way here!" said Rupika took a peek from the gap of Gayatri's room.
"Light off! tell him I'm asleep" Gayatri ordered.
Both of his servants extinguished the lamp and wagged the smoke a bit less like it had just been turned off.
"Master" confronted Gunjana as Siddarth was about to enter the room.
"Mr princess is on break. He's exhausted all day" Gunjana lied.
Siddarth revealed a few curtains to his room. He saw Gayatri sleeping on her back to the bedroom door. Siddarth left a message to the two servants that tomorrow he wanted to talk to Gayatri.
"Master is gone" Rupika reported when Siddarth's form was no longer visible from the room gap.
Gayatri got up slowly from her bed. He sat on the side of the bed.
"Don't!" prevent Gayatri from turning on Gunjana who wants to light a lamp.
"If you were in my position what would you do?" Bisik Gayatri on his two servants.
Rupika and Gunjana looked at each other in the dark.
"Remove him" said Gunjana.
"But only he managed to make Siddarth smile that sweet" Gayatri whispered again.
The three of them were silent.
Silent.
"Sleep, forget that silly question. Tomorrow morning we pray at the Mahadeva temple"
Gunjana and Rupika leave Gayatri alone in the dark. Gayatri exhaled repeatedly while thinking how she could face Siddarth tomorrow.
