Siddarth had just returned from a journey to deliver his father-in-law out of the royal gate. He found Gayatri standing looking at him coldly in front of the door of his stables.
"I don't want to fight" said Siddarth lazily.
"Love me a chance" Gayatri said.
"We spent a year together" Siddarth replied coldly.
"You're too busy, and you only visit occasionally" Gayatri replied.
"Enough! don't start Gayatri. I need to focus on taking care of my pregnant wife. My responsibility is no longer one, but two. Jhanvi and my son"
The veil on Siddarth's face was clear. Gayatri chose silence. Digesting every word that Siddarth uttered. The umpteenth pain hit his chest.
"What should I do?" gayatri asked her servants after she had spilled all her pain through the look in her eyes.
Gunjana's legs are shaking. Sweat drenched his temples and palms. No, he can't take it anymore. Gunjana fell at Gayatri's feet, begging for mercy while stripping.
Gayatri panicked and began to wonder. What happened to Siddarth's handmaid. After the crying subsided. Gunjana slowly adjusted her breathing and began to tell stories.
Lightning tub in broad daylight Gayatri stripping so badly. For God's sake, why is his life story so heartbreaking.
Siddarth never wanted this marriage but why did he have to so long as it had Gunjana mixing the seed-killing potion in Gayatri's food and drink. One time Gunjana neglects to do the same to Jhanvi, he forgets but Siddarth does not punish her but rather gives her a gift.
Rishi quietly eavesdropped on the conversation. He returned to Odissa with a lump of guilt and grief. Rishi tries to be on the neutral side but sees Gayatri waking up her male side to protect her master's wife.
Rishi was just like the other servants, he did not expect Gayatri to last that long. Starting from Siddarth who continued to visit Lakshmi, until Jhanvi was transferred to the Gayatri palace was still able to bless the two women.
"What happened, what happened" asked Jhanvi curiously. He saw the change in Rishi's face.
"Princess Gayatri the woman who doesn't talk much. He stayed in his room without talking. Falling asleep since the afternoon" said Rishi trying to cover up the fact that Gayatri striped all day.
Jhanvi again threw her gaze deep into the women's ward. The ward was quiet, lit only by torches along the passageway. Gayatri's room has been dark since the afternoon. There is no sign of life there. Jhanvi was a little relieved, Gayatri did not plan something that would destroy her position as his favorite son-in-law.
That night Jhanvi slept smiling, imagining she would meet her beloved son with Siddarth by her side.
"Sttt" Siddarth asks Rishi not to make a sound. He's headed for Jhanvi's bed. Jhanvi was dazzled with a smile adorning her beautiful face. Jhanvi was so graceful and strong at the same time, her wavy brown hair was Siddarth's favorite. Siddarth examines Jhanvi's face, subconsciously comparing her to Gayatri's.
Their beauty is comparable but for Siddarth there is no bond of love between him and Gayatri. Gayatri is too stubborn, unruly, and easily carried away by emotions. Jhanvi is the opposite, easy to manage, full of laughter and all things about Jhanvi are heaven for Siddarth.
"I slept here tonight. Put the lights out and leave us alone"
Rishi closed the door, letting the two men sleep in the contest.
