Chapter 38: Meeting

One month later, Fiona finally gets to meet Joyce. Fiona goes to see Joyce at the city park. Fiona will scold the woman. Joyce could have come and not told him to pick her up from the airport. Fiona's been licensed to Shopie before. Fiona has also prepared her ASI in a bottle to anticipate when Sean is hungry and she has not yet returned home. Fiona hopes Sean wants to drink it from a bottle of pacifier this time.

Upon arrival at the park, Fiona searches for Joyce's whereabouts. "Ah that's him." muttered Fiona walking over to Joyce who was sitting on the park chair. Visitors in the park today look a lot because usually in the afternoon some families or couples who come to the city park.

"Joyce." call Fiona. Joyce looked back and saw Fiona standing there.

"Fio." he muttered, got up from the seat and hugged Fiona.

"I miss you so much" Joyce said happily.

"I miss you too" Fiona replied.

"You're so mean." Fiona pinched Joyce's arm.

"Why don't you tell me you've arrived" said Fiona, upset in the chair.

"I'm sorry.I just don't want to bother you" Joyce said, sitting next to Fiona.

"Hey.I won't bother just picking you up," Fiona's chimpanzee folded her arms in front of her chest.

"Yes, next time I won't be like that anymore" said Joyce pinching a squash on Fiona's cheeks.

"Come, I'll take you to a nearby cafe before we go exploring New York City" Fiona excitedly asked, Joyce then nodded.

Fiona invites Joyce to lunch at one of the cafes located not far from the park.

While waiting for their order to arrive, Joyce and Fiona chatter.

"Are your aunts not mad if you come out?" ask Joyce. Fiona then shook her head.

"Aunt Shopie doesn't restrain me Joyce, it's just that I can't forget my duty to look after and feed Sean's son" Fiona replied.

"What about your family?" ask Fiona.

"They're fine, Fio" Joyce replied.

"Send my regards to them" said Fiona. Joyce then nodded.

When Joyce was busy telling me a man with a woman came to them.

"Fiona.." said the man did not expect that he would meet with Fiona. Fiona distracts him and sees Robert standing behind Joyce.

"Robert.." muttered Fiona in surprise. Joyce turned her body around seeing Robert there. What a meeting I never imagined.

"Joyce are you here too?" robert realizes Joyce's whereabouts. In his heart he wondered why Joyce was in New York.

"For a long time no see Fiona," Robert smiled.

"Ah yes.kidna kyle, we came to New York to attend a seminar at one of the famous campuses here. It just so happened that we were both the speakers, "said Robert introducing the woman beside him. The woman Joyce had seen at Mrs's Cafe several times. Ediths.

"Wow, that's amazing" Fiona said.

"Hi Fiona, Joyce.I'm Kyle, it's nice to meet you guys" Kyle said, shaking Fiona and Joyce's hands.

"By the way can we join you?" ask Robert.

"Oh yeah, of course," said Fiona, allowing them to sit down.

Robert taking a seat beside Joyce made the woman a little nervous. Fiona who saw Joyce's expression laughed in her heart.

"You never returned my message to Fiona. I'm looking for you. It's a good thing Joyce told me you've moved to New York to your aunt's place" Robert said.

"I'm sorry Robert, I lost my phone and changed a new number" Fiona replied. He did deliberately change his number not because of his lost phone.

"And you, why are you here?" ask Robert full of questions.

"I asked Mrs for leave. Edith Mr. Robert to meet Fiona here" Joyce replied.

"I told you not to be too formal Joyce. I'd rather you just call my name" said Robert a little annoyed. This was the fourth time he had said the same sentence but it seemed like the woman beside him had always forgotten.

"Robert what do you want to order?" kyle asked as the waitress approached them carrying a menu book.

"As usual" said Robert, leaving Joyce wide-eyed. From the words of the man, it seemed like they had met and eaten together often. And Kyle also knows the food that Robert used to order. That means the assumption is right. She was Robert's girlfriend.

After lunch is over, Fiona must go home because Sean cried not like the milk that was provided in his pacifier bottle

Fiona is delivered by Robert with Kyle and Joyce.

"Thanks Robert has driven me" Fiona said after getting out of Robert's car.

"Joyce, tomorrow we're going out again, I'm sorry that today didn't take you for a walk" Fiona told Joyce in the car

"No, anything Fio. We still have plenty of time" Joyce replied.

"Then I go in first, bye Joyce, Kyle, Robert" Fiona said. Robert then reentered the driver's seat and they left. Fiona waved her hand.

From the balcony of her room, Kendrick sees Fiona getting out of the car with a man she doesn't know. He also cannot see it clearly. Kendrick is jealous to see Fiona in between by another man. In his mind came so many questions.
