Chapter 52: Going Away

Shopie comes to Fiona's room after Kendrick leaves the office early in the morning. The woman carried a piece of paper containing a work agreement between them. Earlier this morning, before Kendrick was working, he and Shopie had a fight. Shopie already knows her connection to Fiona. Had it not been for the sudden affair in his office, Kendrick would have answered every accusation from the woman.

"Shelf.." the door opened firmly to Fiona's surprise.

"Aunt Shopie.." muttered Fiona.

"Plak.." one loud slap landed on Fiona's face.

Shopie throws their agreement letter in Fiona's face to the surprise of her.

"From now on, her contract is over" Shopie stared intently at Fiona.

"Ma.. What does Aunt mean? ms.bukkah__"

"I hate you, Fiona. I thought you were a good woman. It turns out that you are*****.." said Shopie wrathfully.

"Basic doesn't know you" said Shopie slapping Fiona's face. Fiona held her face. Fiona was scared. Looks like Shopie already knows her connection to Kendrick.

This is what Fiona had been afraid of all this time. Shopie grabbed Fiona's hair. Fiona grimaced in pain, she tried to pull Shopie's hand to let go.

"I've been helping you since the death of your parents. But you firmly teased my husband Fiona," said Shopie shaking her head, not expecting the innocent-looking Fiona to tease her husband behind her.

"You shouldn't have your parents picking up a woman like you from an orphanage" Shopie said, pushing Fiona's body away. Fiona cried, Shopie already knows. It's his own fault. He shouldn't have been tempted by Kendrick.

"Auntie. I can explain.." said Fiona holding Shopie's hand. The woman then brushed it off.

"There's nothing Fiona needs to explain. Now pack your things from here before I humiliate you" Shopie said sharply.

"You really don't know yourself. It's disgusting, I don't know how many men out there you've seduced" Shopie said, staring in disgust at Fiona.

"Get out of this house right now, Sean doesn't need you anymore either. If he knew, maybe he'd hate you too" Shopie said.

Shopie stopped her footsteps, twisted her body and looked at the crying Fiona on the floor.

"One more thing, don't ever show up in front of us again" he said, leaving.

Fiona is in her room. He doesn't know what else to do. If only he had been strict with himself, he refused Kendrick. None of this is gonna happen.

"Sir.." said Milly when he saw Kendrick enter the house. Kendrick then went to his room.

"Braakkk.." The door opened firmly.

"Ken.." muttered Shopie who was holding Sean who was crying.

"Who gave you the order to kick Fiona out of this house" Kendrick said angrily. The man then takes over Sean from Shopie's sling and takes him outside.

"Boy. I'm sorry daddy. Daddy knows you miss mommy Fiona. We'll pick up mommy again" Kendrick said, calming Sean down.

"Milly.. Milly.." call Kendrick.

"What's wrong, sir." Milly replied to Kendrick.

"I'll take Sean for a second. Make him some new milk," Kendrick said, giving Sean to Milly and then going back to his room.

"Ken." said Shopie approaching Kendrick.

"Don't touch me Shopie." said Kendrick when Shopie wanted to take her arms.

"Honey, I kicked him out because he doesn't deserve to be here" Shopie said.

"You're the one who should have left my house" Kendrick coldly replied, leaving Shopie wide-eyed.

"Ck. so you prefer him over your own wife and kids" Shopie replied staring at Kendrick.

"Yes..."

"Ken.. what's less than me. Hah.why are you doing this to me" Shopie cried.

"Shopie's... Shopie.no need to act sad in front of me. Your pretend tears mean nothing to me" Kendrick said. Shopie looked up at Kendrick with watery eyes.

"I wouldn't be like this either if you didn't start it" he continued.

"What do you mean Ken.."

"You think I don't know if you've been in contact with your ex" Kendrick smiled cynically. Shopie rounded her eyes. He didn't think Kendirck would find out.
