Chapter 67: Scarlett

5 Years Later

Kendrick's household trip has not been five years. Kendrick is so happy to have a wife like Fiona. They have 2 children, Sean and Scarlett. Scarlett is their daughter who was born two and a half years ago. The boy was very active. Fiona is sometimes overwhelmed by looking after him. She does not hire a baby sitter. As of right now, Scarlett was playing land games in their yard with Fiona watching her, while waiting for Sean to come home from school. Scarlett always asks Fiona to wait for Sean in front of their house.

"No Scarlett, don't eat the coil," Fiona said, banning Scarlett from eating her land. The boy looked at Fiona then threw away the land he had in his hand.

Scarlett's attention was drawn to the sound of a car engine entering the yard. Scarlett who recognized the car immediately stood up.

"Daddy.." said the boy happily.

"Sean.." he muttered and ran over to Sean and Kendrick who had just gotten out of the car.

"Scarlett.." said Sean running towards his beloved sister.

"Sister misses you." said Sean hugging Scarlett who also hugged him with pleasure. Sean then carried Scarlett.

"Daddy.." said Scarlett stretched out both hands as she saw Kendrick approaching them. Kendrick then carried Scarlett.

"You've been doing it baby. Why are your clothes so dirty hmm.." Kendrick said to clean Scarlett's clothes.

"Scarlett's messing with the land dear." said Fiona.

"Hi baby." said Kendrick, peeping Fiona's forehead.

Kendrick rubbed Fiona's distended stomach.

"Hi baby, you're fine there." said Ke Kendrick. Fiona is pregnant with their baby. Her age is 4 months.

"Baby's fine" said Fiona rubbing her stomach. Sean also rubbed Fiona's stomach.

"Hi mommy's son. How was school?" fiona asked, gently rubbing Sean's head.

"Funny mom. We have a new friend mom. They just moved out of Las. from Las..." Sean seemed to think. He forgot the name of the place where his friend lived.

"Yep, that's what I mean mom." said Sean.

"He's a quiet mom." said Sean as he walked into the house.

"Maybe because it's new, son. He doesn't know anyone in your class. Later he will also mingle with you," said Fiona. Sean then nodded.

"Now save the bag first after that we will eat," said Fiona.

"Okay mom." Sean retorted and stepped onto the stairs.

"Scarlett is also changing clothes. Come here baby." said Fiona softly. Scarlett shook her head.

"No.no.no.no." said the boy hugging Kendrick's neck.

"Daddy's daughter has to get changed, look it's dirty baby." Kendrick said showing traces of dirt on Scarlett's shirt.

"Come. daddy will help you. We choose the most beautiful clothes" said Kendrick. Scarlett then nodded.

"Gosh, you yeah, it's daddy's turn to say, you want. Look, after this your wardrobe will be a mess," said Fiona pinching a pinched cheek puff Scarlett. Every time his daughter changes clothes with Kendrick, it's certain his closet will fall apart. Scarlett's gonna try on some of her clothes.

Soon Sean came down from the second floor of their house. He kept his bag and changed his shoes. Fiona smiled at Sean. It did not feel like his son was grown. Although it was not her who gave birth to him but the inner bond between the two of them was very strong.

"Mom.." call Sean.

"Let's go to the dining room. Mommy's already made your favorite seafood soup" Fiona asked.

"Really's? oh thank you mom. You are the best mom I'v ever had," said Sean glad to hug Fiona's feet.

"Come on.." said Fiona rubbing Sean's head. The boy then nodded. The two set their feet towards the dining room.

In the dining room they are seen enjoying a lunch made by Fiona. Kendrick and Sean always add if the food they eat is Fiona cuisine. Their tongues were perfectly suited to Fiona's cooking.
