Chapter 71: Joyce and Robert

Shortly after Fiona's wedding, Robert and Joyce also had their wedding. The couple now have a 4-year-old daughter. And now, Joyce is pregnant with their second child. 1 month more Joyce will give birth to the baby in accordance with the calculations of her obstetrician.

This sunny afternoon, Joyce was struggling with her knitting on a swing chair in the garden next to their home. Lately he has been spending his time knitting. In fact, he has completed 4 sweaters for them to use after the baby in the womb was born. Joyce is currently knitting socks for her baby.

Robert returned home after accompanying his daughter to the city park. She and her daughter Maggie walked to the side yard to see Joyce.

"Mommy.." call Maggie immediately making Joyce's focus switch to the sound source.

"Oh. hi baby, you're back, yeah." said Joyce smiling. Maggie tried to get on the swing but she struggled because both hands were holding ice cream. Robert saw his daughter and helped her sit on the swing. He then sat down beside Joyce and kissed Joyce on the cheek.

"You must have agreed to all our daughter's requests, right?".

"Look, I don't know how much ice cream he ate today" Joyce said. Robert then chuckled.

"Sorry dear.I can't refuse our daughter's request, '" Robert replied, briefly peeping his wife's irritated lips at her. He then rubbed his wife's distended stomach.

"Don't spoil her too much, dear." said Joyce.

"Maggie Mommy has told you a lot. Eat ice cream not too often dear. Then your stomach hurts again" said Joyce gently stroking Maggie's long hair. The boy looked up at Joyce. Several times he did have stomach pain because he ate too much ice cream. But Maggie still wasn't deterred.

"Ice cream is so good mom. Maggie couldn't resist it," Maggie smiled back displaying her toothless tooth.

"Mommy doesn't forbid you to eat ice cream. But you ate too much ice cream, baby. It's not good for your health" Joyce said.

"Please promise mommy not to eat too much ice cream. Mommy also knows if you secretly ask daddy." said Joyce menoel nose Maggie.

"Hehehe. Maggie promised she wouldn't eat ice cream often" Maggie stood up and kissed Joyce on the cheek.

"Thanks dear.." reply Joyce kissed Maggie's cheek.

A passenger came to them, "Master, Madam, there are guests coming" said the maid.

"Who's coming Chloe?" ask Joyce.

"They say it's suprise, I can't mention it. Ladies and gentlemen should meet them in the living room" said the waiter.

"I say goodbye, sir" said the waiter and left.

"Honey. Let's see who's coming" said Robert. Joyce then nodded. He helps Maggie get off the swing chair and the three get into the house.

"Oh jeez... Fiona.." said Joyce when she saw who their guests were visiting. Joyce was so happy.

"Hi Joyce, I miss you so much." said Fiona hugging Joyce's body. For almost two years they never met. Usually they only make vidio calls when they miss.

"I miss you a lot too." Joyce replied.

"Hi aunty Fio's. Maggie's so happy you guys came" said Maggie.

"Aunty was also very happy dear." said Fiona rubbing Maggie's head.

"Son's sister." call Maggie happy. He then gave the ice cream in the servant's hand and approached Sean.

"Hello Maggie.." said Sean. The two children were instantly familiar. Maggie invites Sean to show her toys.

"Why didn't you say you were coming." said Robert.

"It's Fiona's idea to make a surprise,"

"Actually we've been here since two days ago. We'd like to visit the graves of both Fiona's parents and visit your homes at the same time" Kendrick said.

"You yeah, he said this year he's not going to Alaska." Joyce grumpily pinched Fiona's gnarly face.
