Chapter 68: End

Kendrick's phone rang, the man looking at his phone screen. He then raised his call. Fiona stops her lunch when she hears Shopie's name from Kendrick's mouth. Sometimes he smoothed Scarlett's plate.

"What's wrong with Aunt Shopie?" ask Fiona.

"Mark called me and told me that Shopie was running away from the hospital" Kendrick said.

"God, how did that happen. Wasn't she heavily guarded there," Fiona said.

"I don't know, either, honey. Mark was looking for her with the hospital staff. After lunch I'll go there to see him, lest he hurt anyone else" Kendrick said. Three years ago Shopie was found in her home overdosing on drugs. Then he was rehabilitated. A year later, Shopie suffered from severe depression until she was admitted to a mental hospital. Shopie hallucinated, every time she saw a young woman, it was as if she saw Fiona and Rosaline's selves there until she wanted to hurt her.

"I'll come too."

"No dear, this is dangerous. I don't want to take any chances if Shopie sees you later. He could hurt you. I don't want anything to happen with you and our baby in your belly" Kendrick refused.

"I promise to be careful, baby. If necessary I will wear a face mask," said Fiona. Kendrick seemed to be breathing.

"All right, we go together. Remember, you can only be in the car. Don't come out if there's no me. Let's finish your food first. You've only eaten a little" Kendrick said.

"My appetite has been reduced for two days, probably due to pregnancy" Fiona replied.

"Yes already then, don't forget to drink your milk dear." said Kendrick's concern with his wife. Fiona then nodded.

"Dad, daddy didn't forget that today we're going to the zoo" Sean stared at Kendrick. This morning, Kendrick promised him to take them to the zoo.

"Daddy didn't forget boy" Kendrick said.

"Yeeyyy. "cheers Sean happy. Scarlett who heard Sean cheering joined in cheering and clapping. Then they laughed.

"Okay dad," replied Sean.

In the afternoon, after Shopie's problems were resolved, Kendrick finally took his wife and children to the zoo. Sean and Scarlett looked delighted. Sean feeds a giraffe, and Scarlett does so with Kendrick's help.

"You guys happy boy?" ask Kendrick.

"Of course dad.tomorrow I'll tell my friends," replied Sean staring at Kendrick.

"Let's see the lion." invite Fiona.

"Let's go mom. I want to see Simba," said Sean, happy to walk first. Kendrick then held Scarlett who had already extended her hand. The kid is very spoiled if there's Kendrick.

"Darling..are you tired?" ask Kendrick. Look at his wife's pale face. Fiona then shook her head. Actually he was exhausted, his legs felt sore, because it had been walking around the zoo since. But he wanted to see his children and capture their moment together by taking some pictures of them.

"Don't lie to me baby, we can rest first, don't force it" Kendrick said in disbelief. He knows what his wife is like.

"Look at that, Sean was very happy to see his Lion. Do you have the heart to ask him to rest," Fiona pointed at Sean.

"Well, after this we go home. I don't want to hear rejection from you, baby. Your health is most important to us. The kids won't be angry either. You mean a lot in your life, baby" Kendrick said firmly. Fiona finally nodded her head.

"Good wife." said Kendrick, who briefly kissed Fiona's lips. They walked over to Sean.
