The waiters began to arrive and serve appetizers on the dining table.
Vier was silent as he looked at his mother and Selena in turn. At this time he is still trying to guess what his mother means by inviting Selena like this.
"Vier, you must be wondering why I invited Selena to come see you" said Ms. Cintami.
Vier simply drew a smile as he sipped a glass of his mineral water.
"Mom wants you and Selena to talk to each other openly about the problems you're facing until your wedding plans are canceled."
"Truly, I really regret the decision, but I really hope Selena is the daughter-in-law of Mother," said Ms. Cintami.
"Mother" Vier interrupted his mother's words.
Vier's eyes and Bu Cintami's eyes are locked together.
"Selena decided to cancel our wedding. I appreciate Selena's decision, ma'am," said Vier.
"Vier, I have to make a choice. I have to make a choice. It was because you gave me no choice! That's because you didn't give me a choice!" Selena interrupted.
"I don't know how a man so good as you ever did such a bad thing. I know. I-i know. It was your past. That's your past. But I could not accept that. But I can't accept that. You were being so selfish! You killed your unborned baby! You're so selfish! You killed your fetus!"
Ms. Cintami was flabbergasted to hear Selena's words that sounded so full of emotion.
"Se-Selena, are you sure?" asked Miss Cintami stammered. Selena, are you sure?
Vier frowned as Bu Cintami threw a look of disbelief at Vier.
"Vier, what does that mean?" ask Miss Cintami.
"Mom, I can explain" replied Vier.
Geck...Geck...
The sound of knocking on the door made all eyes immediately turn to the entrance. The figure of a woman standing in the doorway instantly dropped the grocery bag she was carrying.
...*****...
Vaya really could only fall silent as her eyes caught the figure of an extraordinarily beautiful woman currently sitting at the dining table face to face with Vier and Bu Cintami.
Selena!
Brugh...
The bag containing groceries for dinner that had been prepared by Vaya until it fell to the floor.
"You!" Selena exclaimed as she stood up from her chair.
Selena could not possibly forget the face of the woman who came to him and said the thing that made Selena immediately think again about her relationship with Vier.
"She was Vier's ex girlfriend! She is Vier's ex-girlfriend! She told me everything! He told me everything. About her affair with Vier. About his dark relationship with Vier. And about Vier's son who was forced to be aborted because of Vier's wish!"
Selena explained with mixed language in the middle of her fear.
Vaya was completely frozen with Selena's words. Selena threw back the boomerang that Vaya had once thrown.
Vaya saw Bu Cintami's eyes bulging wider, while Vier was seen massaging his temple.
"What are you doing here? What are you doing here?" ask Selena to Vaya.
"Selena, she is Vier's wife. Selena, she is Vier's wife" replied Ms. Cintami.
"What?!" exclaimed Selena with a choked voice.
Selena sees a ring around Vier's right ring finger.
"Vier?! Are you married?" ask Selena.
Selena's body trembled, she even fell down on her chair.
"How could you, Vier?! How could you?!" Selena bowed lethargic beginning to cry sobbing.
Vier took his breath.
"Mom, let's talk about this all right" Vier said.
"Vier, I want to talk to your wife" said Ms. Cintami with firmness.
...*****...
Vaya stiffened as Ms. Cintami invited her to speak in the living room with four eyes.
Vaya really doesn't know what to do. Right now his mind seemed empty, sucked into the black eyeballs of Bu Cintami who was staring at him without showing any expression.
Ms. Cintami sat on the sofa, with both hands folded in front of her chest, and crossed her legs. The middle-aged woman's back rested comfortably on the sofa.
"Vaya" said Bu Cintami in a very flat tone.
"I think I can really read the situation that is happening right now. I didn't think it turned out that you were a woman who would do anything to fulfill your ambition. So eager of you to marry a rich man that you justify everything?" tukas Bu Cintami.
Vaya felt her throat choked.
"You really went a long way!"
"Mom, I can explain" Vaya interrupted.
"Explain what, Vaya? Isn't everything clear? You framed Vier, forced Vier to marry you, so his wedding plans with Selena were cancelled!" the Cintami Bu.
"I-Mother," Vaya was flabbergasted by the accusations made by Ms. Cintami.
"I-I didn't frame Vier and I didn't force Vier to marry me. It was just the opposite Ma'am, Vier who asked me to marry him," Vaya said in self-defense.
Vaya certainly can not forget how Vier gave him a choice that in the end can not be chosen by Vaya other than to accept what is desired by Vier.
"Vier asked you to marry him?" ask Miss Cintami.
"Haha!" Ms. Cintami laughed in a scornful tone.
"Vaya, don't you ever look in the mirror? What did you have until Vier asked you to marry him?"
"Selena is perfect for Vier! So why would Vier let go of Selena to choose you?"
Bu Cintami threw a wail that made Vaya's heart feel speared by thousands of sharp spears which then hit his heart.
"Is it because you framed Vier by saying that you were pregnant with her child, and held Vier accountable?"
"Mother, that's not true" replied Vaya.
"Vaya, I've always educated Vier to take responsibility for his actions. I stress to Vier, that in this world the law of cause and effect prevails. Every thing he does must have consequences, so Vier has been educated and used to be careful in acting" said Bu Cintami at length.
"If you had ever conceived Vier's child, I think Vier should have solved the problem a long time ago" Cintami continued.
Vaya felt her eyes begin to heat up, but she tried hard to deal with it.
"I have never interfered with Vier's personal affairs, for I have given him full confidence that the woman he will choose is an extraordinary woman. It turns out, it's amazing to have the ambition to marry a rich man so reckless to do anything."
"Even if the man already has an official partner! Those are the kind of women I hate!"
"I experienced enough of this before! So I really hope that my son, Vier, doesn't experience the same thing! Ie no need to deal with women thirsty for money and wealth!"
"Did your parents tell you to go after a rich man?"
"Is your father in debt? Your mom's in economic trouble until you traded all that for your body?"
Ms. Cintami continued to scout Vaya who was currently trying to hold back her tears.
"I'm really disappointed in a woman like you! Well, most women from the lower classes are like that. Not knowing yourself and shameless," said Ms. Cintami.
"If you still have shame, you should be able to think what you should do."
