172 - Not Fair

"Vaya, we have to continue our conversation" Vier said as he sat back in his chair.

The man looked straight at Vaya who was currently only able to sit quietly on the stairs.

Vaya did not respond to Vier's remarks, he still showed a hostile attitude. Vier let out a heavy sigh and immediately walked over to Vaya.

"Don't come any closer, Vier!" prevent Vaya.

"Why can't I come near you?" ask Vier.

"But you don't come any closer! I don't want you coming near me!" sergeant Vaya.

"Try to present two clear reasons, why can't I come closer to you?" ask Vier.

"It doesn't take two obvious reasons, Vier! Because in my opinion, you obviously shouldn't come near me! We don't have any relationship anymore!"

"Not having any relationship anymore? Vaya, you're still my wife!" sergeant Vier.

"Yes, I know, I'm still your wife, but it's just status! Our relationship is really over, Vier! You and Selena are back together! So there's no reason for you to keep hanging me like this!"

"Vay! How many times do I have to tell you to understand?! Selena and I are not back together!"

"Over these three years, I've been on Selena's side. But that was only the moral support I could give her as a form of accountability to Selena, Selena's parents, and my mother" Vier said.

Vier was still staring at Vaya.

"My mom and I made a deal" Vier said.

"If Selena can really heal as she was, then my mother won't be against us."

"My mom won't interfere in our business, and that's what I've been fighting for, Vaya."

"I know, you must think that I'm so selfish and irresponsible to you and Vero."

"But, look at Vaya, my efforts are not in vain! Selena gave up and asked me to take you!"

"This is what I've been waiting for, Vaya! Really!"

Vier pleaded with Vaya.

"Vier, do you think I'll believe what you're saying?" ask Vaya.

"Vaya, what do you mean?" Vier asked back.

"I don't believe you, Vier!" answer Vaya firmly.

"Vaya!" Vier flabbergasted. "Vay! I really can't believe this!"

"I don't believe you, and you don't believe me. We all live different lives together! I'm happy with the life I'm living right now!"

"You take it easy, Vero and I will not interfere with your life" Vaya said.

Vier restored his hair, he was really annoyed and frustrated at Vaya's attitude.

"Vaya, why are you so stubborn like this?"

Vier is still trying to stay calm in the face of Vaya, although in fact he feels annoyed and irritated.

"I'm not stubborn, Vier! I just reveal what's on my mind! I'm not a woman you can dictate to!"

Vaya looked at Vier with a defiant look.

"I'm not the woman you can leave with as you please and then take back all you want!"

Vier let out a heavy sigh again, Vaya's defiant attitude clearly provoked and ignited Vier's emotions.

With clenched hands, Vier turned away from Vaya, his steps feeling heavy as he decided to get out of the house.

He must quell the burning emotions due to Vaya's attitude that is not in accordance with his expectations.

What am I supposed to do?

Vier's mind while inhaling deeply the cold air that instantly filled his lungs. But still, the tempestuous heat in his body could not be instantly dimmed just by breathing in the cold.

Vier punched the air to let go of all his pity.

He really felt disappointed because of what he had done, the thing he had been fighting for three years seemed to be a futile thing.

It is not easy for Vier, for three years trying hard to meet the requirements of his mother, which is to make Selena recover as usual.

The first years passed by Vier with Selena who still showed an attitude of surrender with the circumstances. Selena chose to die rather than live in a disability. Until finally Selena gave up and had the desire to be able to heal as usual.

Vier even had to lose his moment of togetherness with Vaya who turned out to be pregnant with their child. Vier was really sad and disappointed at Vaya's rejection.

Vaya walked towards the window. He turned his gaze outside, Vier still standing in the rain.

The man actually came back to her and finally came to pick her up.

Vaya refuses, refusing to accept Vier's invitation.

For Vaya, it feels unfair. When he had to run and hide from the terror of Bu Cintami, there Vier accompanied Selena.

Still fresh in Vaya's memory how he had to fight alone through pregnancy, childbirth, to raise Vero alone. There was no Vier accompanying her even though she really wanted the man by her side.

Vaya immediately went upstairs as soon as he saw the car Mike was driving into the yard.

Aria, Vero and Bu Asih immediately got down from the car to the terrace.

While Mike nimbly got off the car with an umbrella, walked quickly to Vier.

"Sir Vier, why are you raining like this?" ask Mike.

Vier was silent with a blank look. Mike let out a heavy sigh, it seemed like he could guess what had happened between the two people.

For a long time the two did not meet, but once met must have quarreled.

"Sir Vier, let's go back home. You have to take shelter," asked Mike.

"What if you get sick from this rain?" ask Mike.

Vier was still silent and pecked. Mike doesn't know what to persuade Vier.

"Mother!" Vero exclaimed as soon as he entered the house.

The boy immediately searched for his mother's whereabouts.

"Mother!" exclaim Vero while climbing the stairs.

"Vero, why are you screaming like that?" ask Vaya.

Vero immediately ran over to Vaya. He was sitting in front of a television that was left on.

"Mother, Vero was in a really nice car! Mr. Mike said, it's Mr. Vier's car!" Vero was so enthusiastic.

"Sir Vier's a rich man huh, ma'am?" ask Vero again.

Vaya just smiled wryly at Vero's chatter. 

"Mother! Mama! How do you dream?!" nagel Vero's.

Bu Asih sat with Aria. The middle-aged woman was obviously very shocked because Aria came to pick her up at the puskesmas with Mike and Vero.

"Mother, I left Kak Vaya and Kak Vier at home so that they can both talk well" Aria said.

Bu Asih sighed with a glance towards the top floor.

"Vaya!" call Bu Asih.
