Getting Married for Lying

Getting Married for Lying
191 - Honesty

"Well, you're crazy, Yoran! Why did you go to the man-hunter?"

Yoran reviewed her smile as all her friends put on an inquisitive expression aka kepo. Vier, who was still covering up his sense of regret to Vaya, looked straight at Yoran.

"I came because I heard my name being called" Yoran replied briefly.

"Ohh, I thought you came because the man-hunter was teasing you," said Vier, grinning horror, which then followed the laughter of elu-eluan to tease Yoran.

Vier still harbors a sense of annoyance at Vaya's attitude that really looks very unfriendly to him.

It felt like his desire to apologize to Vaya for what had happened in the past seemed to evaporate along with Vier's annoyance at Vaya.

What the fuck, you pretty pretentious lady! Not know yourself! Vier.

Vier's eyes returned to Vaya who was now entering the ballroom. Then Vier scanned the expressions of his friends who were unable to hide the stunned sense of Vaya's presence.

"Wow!" amazed they were blown away.

"Seriously that's Vaya the man hunter?! Crazy body!" ceplos Rehan's.

"Well, whoa! It seems like she is now indeed a seductive woman!"

"Ck! The more you praise that woman, the bigger her head is!" Vier clucked his head at the praises thrown at Vaya.

"Don't you remember how scared you were when you received a love letter from the male hunter? Why are you even amazed now?" asked Vier in a scornful tone.

"Haha, Vier, it's the past. If it is now, I don't think I mind" said one of them, chuckling.

"Well, that's also if Vaya doesn't mind being my mistress, haha," he continued laughing.

"Haha!" Vier laughed.

But it is inversely proportional to what it feels right now. When his hands clenched tightly and his blood seemed to start boiling just from talking about Vaya.

Damnit damnit! Vier was back in his heart.

Vier steps away from his friends who are still gossiping about Vaya. Vier unconsciously steps towards Vaya and stops when their eyes bump into each other.

"Fifteen years have passed and you still look miserable" said Vier with his arms folded in front of his chest.

Vier was really goiter to see Vaya who still ignored him.

"I wonder why you still dare to show yourself again!" vier continued, again making speech provocative.

Vaya got up from his chair, the glare of his sharp eyes and his arrogant-looking attitude made Vier intimidated.

"Take care of your own business!"

"Let's go," Vaya asked Ibe.

Vier was stunned to see Vaya's departure.

Just be right! How dare that woman be to me! Vier melengos in heart.

The needle of Vier's annoyance towards Vaya is tilted to the right. No woman would dare to treat him like this. All the women were always sweet and friendly in front of Vier.

Cih, what a shitty woman! Such a woman deserves punishment!

Huh, thank goodness the one who will marry me is Selena. It's been pretty, good, fun! While the hunter is the man! Huh, pretty prett! Huh! You shitty woman! Furious Vier.

Vier can only swallow his own shame, especially when people start to mess up after seeing Vier who is like being dumped by a lover.

"Who do you think you are?!" mumble Vier.

"Oh yeah, did you guys see my fiancee?"

Vier tries to distract her from Vaya. Although he was looking for Selena, but still he was still thinking about Vaya.

...*****...

Vier tried to close his eyes. He pulled a thick blanket and hugged a pillow. He had tried to count the sheep that were lost in his mind, but Vaya's shadow was even more misleading.

"Damn! Damnit damnit! Why don't you get out of my mind?!"

Vier cursed while slamming his head many times on the pillow.

Reuniting with Vaya after fifteen years passed actually made him a nelangsa.

His intention to apologize to Vaya yawned along with his sense of regret towards the woman.

Vier got off his bed, he lowered his head to open the nightstand drawer beside the mattress. He pulled out an envelope containing a letter that was timeless. The yellowed, handwritten paper whose ink had already begun to seep made the letter really look like old parchment found at the excavation site of pre-historical objects.

Vier still kept the letter. The letter that made his heart pounding was not bad, but ended up half-dead because the letter was not intended for him.

Vier recalls a time when, many years ago, he was waiting for a love letter addressed to him. A love letter from a girl who terrorizes the youth with the letter.

Unwittingly by Vier, he continues to wait for the love letter to arrive for him, he waits for a day that changes months, months that change years. A love letter from Vaya was never received.

Deep down in his heart, Vier clearly felt disappointed. But disappointment must be hidden because it makes his pride hurt.

I don't know, Vier was embarrassed to confess to himself, that without realizing it, he had liked Vaya.

He likes shabby and dirty girls who make love letters until his heart is racing. He falls in love with a girl who every day always receives rejection from any young man who gets a declaration of love from her.

...*****...

"Do you know, I even deliberately dated almost all the girls at school, to convince myself, to deny the feeling that was in my heart for you."

Vaya was flabbergasted to hear Vier's confession who was currently staring at him fixedly. Vier's eyes look glazed.

Vier's face looks red, the man blushed and misbehaved and covered his face with one hand.

"Ck, I know, you must think I'm so silly!"

Vier reopened his red, heated face.

"I really feel like a coward who keeps hiding and avoids my own feelings" Vier continued.

"I always reassured myself that I couldn't possibly be interested in you, like you, even fall in love with you, Vaya."

"I am the perfect Vier! All the women are crazy about me! But, why do I keep thinking about you?!"

"The harder I try to pull over, cast out, cast away your shadow, the more lost your mind becomes!"

"Ehem," Vaya cleared her throat.

"Vier, are you currently throwing out the dime you used to give to all the women you've ever had in your life?" ask Vaya.

Vier closed his eyes, shook his head slowly, then slowly opened his eyes and took both of Vaya's hands and grabbed them.

"Vaya, you're wrong to assume that I'm in a fight."

"Because to me, I've never joked about my life" Vier continued.

Vier immediately knelt before Vaya.

"Vi-Vier!" Vaya was aghast to see Vier kneeling before him.

"Vaya, I know, you've always assumed that our marriage was a mistake."

"You're wrong for lying."

"Vier," said Vaya.

"Therefore, marry me again!"

Vaya felt her face heating up with a heart beat that was timid.

"Marry me for your honesty!"
