Getting Married for Lying

Getting Married for Lying
057 - Denial

Vaya immediately woke up as soon as she heard the noise from the kitchen. The position of Vaya's room is facing directly in that direction, so whatever activities that occur in the kitchen will be heard.

Vaya shakes Vier's shoulder to wake the man up. It's best for Vier to leave early in the morning before Aunt Darti and Deri arrive. That's what Vaya planned.

"Vier, wake up, you're not coming home?" ask Vaya.

Vier did not budge, the man still curled up covered in a sheath.

"Vier," Vaya again shook Vier's shoulder.

"Hhhhhhh!" Vier snarling.

In her closed eyes, she took a pillow and covered her head. Vier was obviously reluctant to wake up.

"Good, Vier!" lamented Vaya.

Vaya took his phone, tried to contact Mike. Only a long calling tone sounded many times.

"Tumben Mike didn't answer? Is it because it's too early? But it's already five o'clock" Vaya wonders for herself.

Vaya comes out of her room, she finds her mother who is already busy preparing dishes.

"Lho, Vaya, how are you awake? Sleep again, it's still too early" said Bu Asih.

Bu Asih is very memorized in the habit of Vaya who often wake up a little during the day off. He understood this because he knew that Vaya needed more rest.

Bu Asih is not typical of mothers who will scare their daughters with old myths that prohibit girls from waking up later because of the long-coming soul mate. The soul is in God's hands. Life is not a race even though sometimes his ears are hot to hear his son become a neighbor's gossip. But once Vaya is married, Bu Asih's heart becomes more plong. Although Vaya's marriage was very sudden and had made Bu Asih doubtful, once seeing Vaya and her husband seemed fine, it was enough for Bu Asih.

"Mom, why did you bother cooking this early in the morning?" ask Vaya.

"Yes, must, this is the first time Mother's daughter-in-law stayed at home, it was enough last night Mother could not prepare anything for Mother's daughter-in-law," replied Bu Asih.

"Mother, there's no need to bother like this, Vier will be home soon, anyway" Vaya said.

"Vaya, you should be grateful to have a husband who is willing to follow you when he is so busy. Your husband must love you so much that he does not want to part so," Ms. Asih commented on her smile.

Vaya grinned, love? Love from where? Right now I'm under contract for slavery, ma'am, hiks!

"Mom, let me help you" said Vaya.

"Already, you go back to sleep, accompany your husband," refused Bu Asih.

"Ih, what the hell is ma'am," grumbled Vaya.

Vaya immediately approached Rian who was still sleeping in the living room.

"Rian, wake! Just help Mom," Vaya wakes Rian up.

Rian wriggled, still collecting his life. He's still very sleepy.

"Male! Wake up!"

Now it's Aria's turn to be awakened by Vaya.

...*****...

Geck..Geck..

The knocking of the door made Aria immediately rush to open. Again Aria was surprised to see the sighting of Aunt Darti who had come even though the clock still shows ten o'clock in the morning.

Darti, a middle-aged woman who always appears with an eccentric appearance. Women with partially whitened hair like to wear leopard-patterned clothing. Abaya dress with leopard motif has always been his fashion icon.

Darti's eyes were fixed on the food presented on a folding table in the corner of the living room near the kitchen.

The middle-aged woman commented on her smile, apparently the Vaya family really welcomed Vaya's matchmaking plan with joy.

Well, who would refuse to be betrothed to a rich man? Even though she has to be the third wife that matters the money.

Darti began to pick up one by one the dishes on the table.

"Taste you still doesn't taste good, Asih! It's a pity that your children should eat such pathetic food like this" said Darti.

Vaya really can't accept her mother being humiliated like that. Bu Asih held Vaya down, shook her head slowly, giving the code not to have to find things with Aunt Darti.

"Have my brother died young! It's all because you're not acting like a wife!" darti toilet.

"Tante Darti, my father died of illness, not of my mother" Vaya said.

"Vaya," Bu Asih glared at Vaya.

"Well! Whoa! Vaya, you have the courage to answer me!" Darti clapped his hands but his sour expression grew even more.

"You are, not yet officially betrothed to a rich man, already dare to be insolent! You are, yes, you should be grateful because I have generously sought you out! You could've been a spinster if it wasn't for my services!" darti Cecar.

Vaya held back her emotions, she tried to speak as softly as possible.

"Tante Darti, I'm really grateful that Aunt Darti would bother arranging an arranged marriage for me. Thank you for thinking about the best for me and my family" Vaya said.

"Yes be clear, however you are my nephew, the son of my late sister whom I love the most" said Darti.

"But Auntie, I'm sorry, I'm not willing to follow Aunt Darti's will" said Vaya.

"What?" Darti.

"Let me be a spinster, let me not do it. After all I will try myself without expecting mercy from anyone," said Vaya trying to calm down.

Vaya really has to be clever to keep the word he said.

"Vay! You here, helped even crunched!" Darti glared, leaving his waist while pointing towards Vaya.

"Sir Darti, sorry," said Bu Asih interjected. "Vaya, don't talk like that, apologize immediately to Aunt Darti."

"Mom, why should I apologize?" ask Vaya.

Darti glared full of anger, his thin brows swooping and sharp tapering were raised high. Wrinkles all over his face even make a putty on the face began to crack like dry ground.

"I've been working hard to help you find a good mate, a rich man who can raise your family! You're a tough guy! Self-conscious! Don't act too much!" darti Cecar.

"'What's up, Mom? Why so angry?"

Deri had just entered Vaya's house, her mother's discordant voice was heard in the yard.

"Deri, this is! Vaya is not ready to be matched! What try! You hard people don't know themselves!" darti Cecar.

"What's? You refuse?" ask Deri.

The man's brows furrowed high, his face looking unusually stiffened.

"Yes, I rejected it," Vaya replied firmly.

The expressions of Deri and Aunt Darti were filled with unbearable anger.

"Vay! You have no reason to refuse! You are yes, no longer white, no beauty! You think you're still in your twenties?! Self-conscious, you've been labeled a spinster!" ceri.

Deri was powerless to hold back her anger. Right now he was really angry that Vaya refused to be betrothed. That means that his business cooperation is also threatened to be canceled.

This can't be allowed! Furious Deri.

"What the hell is a fuss?! Just disturb my sleep!"
