Getting Married for Lying
173 - What do you want

Vaya stepped down from the second floor upon hearing her mother's call.

"Aria, please keep an eye on Vero yes," Pinta Vaya.

"Yes, sister" said Aria.

"This is the television remote.*

Vaya handed over a television remote that was immediately greeted by Aria.

"Don't watch soap!" threaten Vaya's.

"Hmm, yeah," said Aria again.

Aria immediately headed upstairs, while Vaya immediately sat opposite her mother.

"Mom, are you okay?" tanya Vaya worried about the condition of Bu Asih.

"Sorry Mom, I shouldn't have to go to the market today. I should have taken Mama straight to treatment" said Vaya.

"Vaya, Mom's fine. At the health center, I have received medical treatment and have also been given medicines" said Bu Asih.

Vaya looked back at her mother's face that had been filled with the lines of time that had passed a lot.

"Vaya, have you talked to Vier?" ask Bu Asih.

Vaya sighed while lowering her gaze.

"Vaya" said Bu Asih.

"We've spoken and there's nothing we have to talk about anymore" Vaya replied.

Bu Asih knew that Vaya was lying because Vaya chose to look down instead of directly looking at Bu Asih's eyes.

"Vaya, you and Vier are all grown up so in the face of problems have to respond in an adult way. Think and consider carefully before making a decision," said Bu Asih gave advice.

"It was, Mom, but Vier was so stubborn" Vaya lamented.

"Vier's stubborn? Are you not stubborn?" ask Bu Asih.

"Mother!" Vaya.

"Vaya, actually I don't want to interfere in your and Vier's business. So now try to think you were okay. Don't make decisions when you're emotional."

"Mom wants to talk to Vier" said Bu Asih.

"Mother, there's really no need!" prevent Vaya.

"Vaya, please let me talk to Vier."

Vaya turned to her mother.

"You go up with Vero and Aria" said Bu Asih.

Vaya melengos, but Vaya certainly did not dare to refute his mother's orders. Vaya returned to the top floor despite having to drag her feet.

Bu Asih got up from the chair, then opened the door of his house. His eyes immediately fell on the two men who were currently resting under an umbrella in front of the house.

"Son Vier," call Bu Asih.

Mike heard Bu Asih's call, immediately patted Vier's shoulder.

"Sir Vier, Ma'am Asih called you" said Mike.

"Eh, oh," Vier gasped.

Mike frowned looking at Vier who seemed to have just returned to find his body after his tribe ventured out of nowhere.

"Sir Vier, you're called your mother-in-law" Mike repeated.

Vier immediately turned around and found the Asih Bu standing in the doorway. Vier walked slowly over to the middle-aged woman.

"Mother," Vier took Bu Asih's hand.

Bu Asih reached out his hand and welcomed the brief kiss Vier gave.

"When's mom coming?" ask Vier.

"From now on" replied Bu Asih.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't aware of Mom's arrival" Vier said regretfully.

Ms. Asih looked at her smile.

Vier nodded slowly then looked towards Mike. Mike swiftly handed over the suitcase containing Vier's clothes which he had taken from the car.

After changing clothes, Vier immediately approached Bu Asih who was sitting waiting for him at an empty table.

Mike remained on standby, swiftly preparing the seats so that Vier could sit comfortably.

"Son Vier, drink the ginger first, said Mike, you do not drink tea or coffee," said Bu Asih.

"Thank you, ma'am" said Vier.

Vier immediately sipped the ginger wedang which immediately warmed his body. Vier put his glass back on the coaster.

"How's Mom doing?"

"Mom feels better. Thank you for coming and picking me up" replied Ms. Asih.

"Thank you for taking care of Vero, I really felt anxious and thoughtful about leaving Vero alone at home" continued Bu Asih.

"Mother, it is precisely me who should thank Mother for taking care of Vero and Vaya all this time" Vier said.

"I'm really sorry and I don't mean to abandon Vaya or Vero" Vier said.

"The circumstances urged me and Vaya to live apart all this time. But ma'am, all this time, I never once forgot Vaya."

"Son Vier," cut Bu Asih.

"Now I ask, what do you want?" ask Bu Asih.

"What do I want?" Vier asked back.

Bu Asih nodded.

"All I want is for Vaya and Vero to come back to live with me. Back to being a whole family, living together without the need to be separated again" replied Vier.

Bu Asih took a glass containing his ginger wedang, sipped a little and then put the glass back on the table.

"Son Vier, if you want to be back as a whole family, then have you thought about what your mother wants?" ask Bu Asih.

Vier was silent at Bu Asih's question.

"Son Vier, I don't mean to discredit your mother or your family."

"However, can your mother or your family accept Vero's presence?" ask Bu Asih.

"Mom can clearly see that your mother seems less receptive to Vaya's presence in your life. Your mother thinks that Vaya is not the daughter-in-law she wants."

"We were even forced to move to a remote and remote place like this because Vaya felt that our safety was the top priority" continued Bu Asih.

Bu Asih was still staring into Vier's eyes.

"Mother just wants to see Vaya happy" said Bu Asih.

"Mother," Vier let out a heavy sigh.

"I understand and I understand very well what you're worried about."

"Just please, please believe me."

"Over these three years, I've not been an irresponsible man and abandoned Vaya and Vero, Mom" Vier said.

Vier returned Bu Asih's gaze.

"Over these three years, I've worked my way up so that my mother can finally accept Vaya. It may sound very selfish, but for me, this is the only way I can do it. As well as providing evidence that no matter how long time passes, it does not affect my love for Vaya" Vier explained.

Bu Asih exhaled a heavy breath.

"Do you really love Vaya?" ask Bu Asih.

"I've always loved Vaya, Mom," Vier replied.

"Vier, I hope you can really hold what you say."

"I'm a guy who always holds on to the words I say Ma'am" Vier said.

"All right, I understand. For Mother, the happiness of Vaya and Vero is the most important thing. It's just that now all the decisions are in Vaya's hands. Vaya is willing to come back to you or not, I won't interfere" Ms. Asih said.
