Getting Married for Lying
017 - House arrest

Geck.. Geck..

Hearing the door of his room being knocked, Vaya immediately went to open the door. Vaya is shocked to see the arrival of Mr. Jo.

The cold-looking middle-aged man without a smile lowered his head while greeting.

"Good day, Miss Vaya, I'm here to pick you up" he said.

Vaya frowned.

"Pick me up?" Vaya asked back.

"I was asked to pick up so you could have lunch" replied Mr. Jo.

Vaya throbbed, apparently there are still people who remember to offer him lunch. Vaya even only eats cereal bars that are always in his bag to simply prop up the stomach. Prison is even better by preparing three meals a day for the inmates.

Vaya's car stopped in front of the main pavilion. Vaya gets out of the car, follows Jo, who leads him to the dining room.

The dining room is minimalist and modern. Long black marble table with white chairs neatly arranged. On the table there are several lunch menus for Vaya, most of which are various vegetable salads.

"I don't know if this dish suits your taste, Ms. Vaya," Mr. Jo said. "But most modern women love fresh vegetable dishes" said Jo.

"Thank you, this is truly a sumptuous meal" said Vaya.

Modern woman? I'm more grateful if you prepare a mixed rice menu, than raw vegetables like this, Mr. Jo, Inner Vaya nelangsa.

Vaya chews her salad without taste. Vegetables of various colors are presented on a large plate that is so aesthetic. But what's so good about eating raw vegetables flavored with just olive oil, a pinch of pepper and salt?

Did all of Vier's women eat food like this?

Oh no! I'm not Vier's woman!

Vaya had finished eating his lunch, he was forced to devour all the salads because Mr. Jo who was silent watching him really looked like a warden who would punish the inmates if they left food.

Vaya felt so tense that she took the initiative to melt the atmosphere.

"Oh yes, Mr. Jo, by the way, why is it so quiet here?" ask Vaya. "I haven't even seen any members of the Vier family."

"You won't meet anyone in this pavilion, Ms. Vaya," replied Mr. Jo.

"Oh, so that means the members of the Vier family live in another pavilion?" ask Vaya.

"really. It's just that right now, the members of Mr. Vier's family are all abroad," replied Mr. Jo briefly.

"Oh so," Vaya nodded slowly.

"Oh yes, by the way, Mr Jo, I want to go somewhere, do you mind showing me the way out of this place?" ask Vaya.

"Sorry, Mrs Vaya, according to the order I obtained from Mr. Vier, you are not allowed to leave this house without the permission of Mr. Vier" replied Mr. Jo.

"What's? I can't go?" Vaya.

Mr. Jo nodded steadily.

"How come, Jo sir?"

"This has been an order from Mr. Vier, I just need to run it," replied Mr. Jo diplomatically.

Vaya again breathed a heavy breath.

What the fuck is Vier? Does he really want to put me under house arrest?! Inner Vaya.

If I can't leave this house without Vier's permission, then what about my job?

Vaya massaged his head, tugging at his own hair while cursing resentment in the heart.

Vaya immediately sent a message to Mike.

I want to talk to Vier!!!

Vaya is waiting for a reply from Mike with all his anxiety.

...*****...

Vaya repeatedly glanced at the screen of his smart device. Waiting for the arrival of Vier who has not yet revealed the nose.

Jo sir and some waiters entered the dining room. They began to arrange the dining table, filling the previously empty marble table with several dishes.

"Sir Jo, has Vier come yet?" ask Vaya.

"Sir Vier is on his way here in ten minutes at most" said Mr. Jo.

Vaya felt a sense of relief after hearing Mr. Jo's reply. Tired of waiting half a day like this. Taking three days off without doing anything obviously made him feel very bored. Thankfully, he had to enter the office tomorrow. It's just, Vier applied a really very strange rule to him.

"Welcome, Mr. Vier."

Jo welcomes Vier into the dining room with Mike.

"Good night, Mr. Jo," said Vier.

"Oh yes, Mr. Jo, please just wait outside" said Vier.

"Well, sir," said Mr. Jo.

Jo immediately exits the dining room, leaving Vaya, Vier, and Mike.

Vier directed his gaze at Vaya who was already sitting on one of the chairs behind the dining table. The woman looked at him with a cynical look.

Vier immediately headed to the corner of the sink to wash his hands, his eyes watching Vaya who still kept throwing a cynical look at him. After washing his hands, Vier immediately sat on the chair that Mr. Jo had prepared. He sat opposite Vaya who was sitting in the other corner of the table.

"Vaya, why are you looking at me like that?" vier pretended to be surprised.

"You are yes, when the husband comes home, welcome him with a cheerful smile, not a cynical one" Vier said in a mocking tone.

"Of course, I'm confused by my current position. Rather than being called a wife, I think house arrest is better for me" Vaya said.

Mike who was standing beside Vier felt a tense atmosphere begin to envelop them.

"Haha, house arrest? Why do you think that?" ask Vier.

Vier began filling his plate with salad rolls and grilled meat.

"Yes, I feel that I am under house arrest because of the rules that you have made, preventing me from leaving without your permission" Vaya said.

Vier chewed on the rolled salad and also the grilled meat while still staring at the fiery-looking Vaya. I don't know why he enjoyed the view.

Don't smile like that! It's disgusting! Vaya in the heart.

"I made that rule to make sure that you don't run away from this house" Vier said.

"What's? Fleeing?" Vaya.

"Yes, because you haven't signed the marriage contract I've prepared, yet" Vier said.

"Haha, the contract is yes," Vaya laughed out loud.

"Yes, what is the guarantee that you won't run away from your responsibilities that have messed up my marriage?" ask Vier.

Vaya mendelik.

"Vier, how can I sign that contract without any negotiation?" Vaya asked Vier.

"Don't you say that I'm enough of Selena's surrogate?"

"The surrogate bride, doesn't mean the same as the real bride does it?" Vaya defended his argument.

Vier still grinned, not knowing what was in the man's mind because Vaya could not guess.
