Joseph Randvale sat like a mannequin statue posing. Yoran, that's how she was often called when she was in school. It is a Javanese-German crossbreed. No wonder he looks more like a western man but has black eyes.
All the eyes of the cafe visitors were fixed on him, whispers teased behind him. The cafe that was empty suddenly filled with visitors. They wondered, who was that handsome man waiting for?
Yoran ignored all those gazes, she was currently waiting for someone she had contacted a few days ago. Yoran felt the need to apologize properly because she felt guilty for making a mess at the reunion.
High School reunion event held after fifteen years passed. Yoran itself is almost disappeared from circulation because of its busyness.
Not to mention in the age of fifteen years ago, technology has not been too developed. Although now there is social media as a medium of greeting online, but it is certainly different from meeting face to face.
The cafe door opened, a woman entered, turning her head in all directions before finally seeing Yoran who was commenting on a smile towards her.
Yoran! Vaya's heart screamed.
Vaya was unusually excited when she received a call from Yoran. Vaya doesn't even care how the guy gets Vaya's phone number. It could be from the reunion committee.
Vaya carries a paper bag containing Yoran's coat which he just took from the tattooist. The suit lent by Yoran after Vaya splashed into the pool.
Vaya even accidentally brought Yoran's suit to the most expensive tattooist because he felt that a standard tattooist would damage the man's expensive suit.
"Sorry, I'm late, there's still work unfinished" Vaya said apologizing to Yoran.
"I just arrived" said Yoran smiling faintly.
The black eyes of the man looked at Vaya. Vaya who has been wrong behavior increasingly become wrongly stared at by a pair of eyes like black pearls that sparkle beautifully.
Oh, Yoran! Don't look at me like that! I can really melt! Melts formless! Vaya swore in the heart.
"Thank you for coming" he said.
Vaya nods clumsyly, he is so sorry why he did not wear more appropriate clothes to meet the handsome Yoran wearing a blue flannel shirt with matching color jeans. Vaya was just wearing his office uniform, he was too pounding to forget everything.
Getting a land coffee call from Yoran certainly makes Vaya mean that the man asked her out on a date.
Surely Yoran wanted to meet me because she was fascinated by me! I look much better than when I was in school! Inner Vaya was full of confidence.
A waiter delivers a menu book. Vaya pointed at the hot chocolate while Yoran ordered iced coffee.
"I'm sorry for what happened at the pool a few days ago, really, I didn't mean to surprise you" Yoran said.
"It's okay, it's my fault, I'm too surprised" said Vaya.
Silent again, what a heavy atmosphere. Vaya was too tense to think. The man he adored for fifteen years could sit before him, wasn't this some kind of gift from God?
Well, what am I supposed to talk about? Don't die in this style! Come on, Vaya, what do you have to say? Before Yoran ran away because you weren't cool! Inner Vaya.
"Hmm, Yoran, now what's your busy life?" vaya asked suddenly breaking the silence.
"I work in the Capital" replied Yoran.
"Oh, well, you work in the capital, you must be very busy, but still take the time to come to the reunion event," said Vaya.
"It just so happens that there's a job I have to finish here" Yoran replied.
"How long are you gonna stay in this town?" ask Vaya again.
Silence is coming again.
"I'm glad to see you again. Vaya, how are you doing now?" ask Yoran.
"Ah yes, as you can see," replied Vaya.
"Oh yeah, I remember, fifteen years ago you said there was something important you wanted to tell me?" ask Yoran.
"Haha yes, I think there was something I had to say" replied Vaya.
"But I forgot, it's been a long time, I can't even remember it" Vaya continued.
Yoran looked at Vaya, she smiled.
"If what you're trying to tell me is so important, I guess you just don't want to say it."
Vaya felt her face flushed red from embarrassment. He doesn't want to remember it anymore. It was such a shameful incident.
How could Vaya forget the day he wanted to convey his feelings to Yoran, but Vier came and messed things up. Vier came right in front of them. Vier snatches the letter Vaya wrote and rips it right in front of Vaya's face then casually Vier throws the letter tear into Vaya's face while uttering horrible taunts.
"Oh, I think, at that time, I wanted to say something, but, at that moment, Vier came and messed things up. Haha, geez it was a long time ago, already fifteen years ago," Vaya laughed.
Vaya has no power to resist his misdeeds. Yoran remained handsome, even more handsome and mature.
"Vaya, I say thank you" Yoran said.
Vaya looked at Yoran in astonishment.
"I appreciate how you feel about me, I'm sure at the time you would have wanted to say it sincerely. I could see from the pieces of the letter that Vier had torn," Yoran said.
Vaya smiled wryly, she could already expect it. Wasn't it obvious Yoran must have rejected her even before Vaya expressed her feelings.
"I was married two years ago, are you married?" ask Yoran.
There was a sound of glass breaking due to being thrown by a stone when Yoran asked the question. It was all in Vaya's head. It was hard to breathe when I heard that reality.
"No, I'm not married yet" Vaya replied bitterly.
I'm not married because I thought you weren't married to Yoran either! Jerit Vaya in the heart.
"Oh that way, hopefully you can find someone you love, get married, and then live a happy life" Yoran said.
Vaya's heart was painful, sick, but the words of Yoran were positive words.
Vaya felt such a deep trembling. His declaration of love for Yoran, which had not been delivered for fifteen years, was finally answered by Yoran fifteen years later.
Denied! Denied! Rejected again! Inner Vaya rumbled.
Vaya sipped her hot chocolate, her tongue burning instantly due to the really hot temperature of the chocolate.
But for some reason, in Vaya's heart was relieved, that he again received rejection after fifteen years never expressed feelings again. She has not been in love for the past fifteen years.
