I Will Marry You (I'll Marry You)

I Will Marry You (I'll Marry You)
Surprise In The Morning

The sound of footsteps and laughter woke Amy from her sleep. Moisture under her cheeks made Amy snap her hands there.

As a result of her crying all night, Amy had wet her bed sheets. Not to mention the pain in both of his eyes caused him pain when he opened his eyes.

Getting up from her bed, Amy walked up to the window curtain, letting a glimmer of light illuminate the room.

Bending his head, he saw that there were two men there, one was middle-aged and the other was young, busy cleaning the courtyard outside.

Lots of leaves from trees scattered in the yard. Not long after his quarrel with Markus last night, a rainstorm rained down on the roof of the house.

And that's when Amy let her tears spill from her eyes and mourned her fate until she fell asleep.

Turning away from the window, Amy immediately approached the vanity mirror in the room.

Instantly he gasped at the reflection of himself in the mirror. His eyes looked swollen, his thick hair looked tangled, not to mention his worn-out mascara aggravated his appearance.

"I look so horrible!" cetus Amy gaped.

The sound of objects falling behind him, turning around, Amy and the visitor both gasped in shock.

Amy was surprised at his appearance, while the waiter's—the clothes he wore showed that that was his profession—looked surprised to find there was someone in the room.

It was evident from what he said after recovering from his shock.

"I-I'm sorry, miss," he said stammered as he lowered his head. "I think there's nobody here. Again forgive me."

Intending to run away after saying the apology, Amy yells at him to stop him. "Hey, wait a minute! I need to talk to you. Don't go yet!"

The servant immediately stopped his steps, as if he had been trained not to dispute his master's orders.

Amy watched him closely, if seen from his face must be the age of the servant was no more than 18 years. What a very young age for a servant.

"What's this?" asked an exotic woman approaching them both.

He was also wearing the same clothes as the young girl before him, but this one maid looked more mature and dignified. There was an aura of confidence emanating from him.

Maybe that's why he quickly got the hang of himself when he saw Amy's monstrous performance. Although he had caught a glittering shock in his amber eyes that he quickly covered.

Which means he is more experienced and has worked in this house for a long time. Distinctly different from the clumsy young girl before him.

"You're making trouble again, aren't you?" accuse the woman to her younger co-worker.

"No, I didn't" the young girl shook her head. "I didn't know if anyone was in there, well, you know—"

The sharp glances of the knife that the exotic woman gave him instantly silenced the poor young girl's chatter.

Not having the heart to see the poor girl being scolded any longer, Amy chimed in, "That's not her fault. I was already surprising him."

Listening to that brief explanation, the exotic-looking maid lowered her head to face him.

"Although I still apologize for his behavior, Miss."

Seeing the senior servant's attention being distracted by Amy, the young girl apologized to him and ran away before the woman stopped her.

"It's okay, just let him go" Amy said. "What's your name, by the way?"

******* worn is blown away from the woman. "I hope you understand him, he's only been working here for a week" he said, smiling tiredly. "I'm sorry I was so slow to introduce myself, Miss, my name is Meggie, but just call me Meg, I'm one of the butlers in this house, Miss."

"Stop calling me 'Miss', I'm not used to hearing someone call me that," Amy asked, smiling shyly. "Call me Amy."

"I can't call you like that, Miss Amy," Meggie declined quickly.

After 15 minutes of trying to change Meggie's stance to be casual with him, Amy finally gave up too. Nothing could change the clumsiness of that beautiful maid.

During that time Amy was also trying to digest information about all the maids there and inquired about their whereabouts last night.

It was strange that all the servants in the house had not been seen on the night of his arrival with Mark.

It was Mark who ordered all his servants to return to their homes after 9 p.m.

Maybe her husband didn't want anyone to hear their big fight last night. At least he should thank Mark for the kindness of that one for not humiliating him in front of his servants.

"I'm sorry if I was so presumptuous, miss," said Meggie, awakening Amy from her daydream. "But until this morning no one knew that Mr. Xander was married and had brought his wife here. At breakfast he surprised everyone by saying to deliver breakfast to his wife's room."

Amy knew Markus was a very secretive person, but how could she have just told her servants the day after her wedding.

Does he think his marriage is not an important thing that he should spread to his servants? Or from the beginning Mark was hesitant to marry her, so did not feel the need to convey the news to his servants.

"Therefore I was confused when I didn't find you in Mr. Xander's room earlier," continued Meggie, glancing carefully at him. "I thought you two slept there, but I was wrong,"

Anyone can see clearly that Amy and Markus didn't spend the night together. Where there is a newlywed who woke up with a terrible appearance like him now.

There is no smile of happiness, there are only careless eyes, which are obtained from crying all night.

Only a fool would think that his haphazard eyes were caused by the cry of happiness.

Then no newlywed wakes up as fast as her husband. The newlyweds should have spent the whole day in her room. Such was the behavior of the newlyweds he often heard.

Not wanting to be evasive or agree, Amy tried to shift the conversation to something else she was about to ask Lucy.

"By the way my husband, Meg, where is he now?"

"He's gone to work, miss."

Ah, goddamn. If only she had woken up sooner, she might still have had time to talk to her husband about the unresolved issues between the two of them.

Letting the tense situation between them drag on like this would even make their relationship worse. He can't allow that.

To fill her free time while waiting for Mark's return from work, Amy asks Meggie to help her around the house while introducing her to all the servants there.

That way he has done the initial stage as Mark's wife, which is to know the faces of his servants one by one. Although it seems to take more than a day to memorize the faces and names of 21 servants there.

But before doing that Amy must tidy up her appearance first. It would be very embarrassing if the host wife looked like a stressed woman like the appearance she was showing right now.
