A surprised Amy finds Mark welcoming them at the door, alternately staring back and forth at Markus and his mother. He looked at the two of them, puzzled over the words to break the gripping silence in the room.
Moreover, he had not had time to say something, Markus had already first pulled him to his side.
"From anywhere you've come home this late" Markus told him.
"It's still 7 p.m., Mark, it's not too late."
"Where's Helen?" markys asked, ignoring his defense. "I heard you went shopping with him."
"Why did you ignore your mother, Willy? Don't you want to hug your mother first" said Elisabeth pouting. "And don't scold your wife just because she's gone with me."
Mark looked at his mother coldly. "Speak what you want to say. Then get out of here as soon as possible." Staring unhappily at Amy's appearance, Markus growled. "I don't like the bad influence you've given him."
Amy breathed a stifled sigh hearing Mark's rudeness to her mother. But strangely Elisabeth seemed to have gotten used to the rudeness of her young son, she did not look offended in the slightest by his words just now.
"Nothing to say. I just want to see your daughter-in-law in person" said Elisabeth casually. "Well, by the way, you know, Willy didn't invite Mom to your wedding. I've been wanting to see you at the wedding altar a long time."
"I never intended to introduce my wife to you, Elise," replied Mark Ketus. "I'm not like you who just came to visit her son to tell him about his wedding."
Oh my God, that's what Elisabeth always did to Mark her husband. Amy looked at her husband with sympathy.
As if aware of his loving gaze, Markus moved away from him.
"You'd better get back upstairs" Markus' orders pushed his body slowly. "I need to have a four-eye talk with Elise in my study."
"Can we postpone this conversation? Mom's too tired. Let me soak in Mom's room for a while. When I arrived, I had not had time to rest," Elisabeth pleaded. "Look at how shabby Mom looks now. Don't you feel sorry for your mother?"
Markus just threw a stern look at his mother, then he walked away to his study. Sighing loudly, Elisabeth immediately followed Mark into the study.
That night's dinner was even more grim and stifling than the days before. The tension in the dining room makes it difficult for Amy to swallow any food that enters her mouth.
Every time Elisabeth spoke to him, from across the table Mark would throw a piercing gaze at his mother. Her husband acted as if he did not want her to get too close to his mother.
But whether unconscious or unwilling to care, Elisabeth still unceasingly invited him to chat, as if it was a pleasure to have ignited her son's anger.
"Honestly Amy, I was shocked to find out you were my daughter-in-law. It's not that I meant to insult you, honey, it's just that you're a lot different from Willy's previous ex." Elisabeth smiled apologizing. "Well, even then of course you won't be as stupid as Manda who ended her life just because–"
"Enough is enough!" Markus hit the dinner table which resulted in Amy and Elisabeth jumping in shock to look at him. "I don't want you to bring up my past to my wife, Elise."
"There's no need to be that angry, Willy," said Elisabeth, touching her chest. "That's just past–"
"I said enough!" snapped Markus wrathfully. "And I've told you many times to stop calling me by that name!"
At least now she knows what caused her husband to hate her middle name so much.
"And you're Amy" pointed Markus at him. "Go back to your room. Now!"
Standing up from her seat, Amy raised her chin haughtily to her husband.
"I'm not a kid you can wholeheartedly whimper, Willy," she said, calling her husband by his much-loved name. Then he looked at his mother-in-law. "Good night, Elise. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Good night, sweetie." Elisabeth kissed him on the cheek and it was as if nothing had happened to him to go back to eating his food.

"Why are you looking so moody today, Sophie?" samuel stroked Sophie's cheek gently. "Did your therapy go badly today?"
Sophie clasped her hands in the hands of Samuel who stroked her cheeks.
"I'm just worried about Amy, Sam."
For a moment Samuel's body stiffened, but it quickly turned to relax again.
"What's wrong with her? Did her honeymoon trip with Markus go badly?"
"I don't know. He did tell me things were going really well, it's just that…." Sophie sighed tiredly. "I just feel like Amy's hiding something from me, Sam. I don't know why she seems unhappy with her marriage. As long as I had a video call with him earlier he seemed to force a smile on his face."
"Maybe it's just your feeling" said Samuel flatly. "Don't think too much. Maybe when you talked to her, Amy was fighting with her husband."
"I hope so."
"Here you go, you better get some sleep."
Samuel covers Sophie. She accompanied her lover for a while before finally going out of there after believing Sophie had fallen asleep.
Outside the room he walked back and forth, hesitatingly staring at his cell phone screen. When listening to Sophie's worries, his head was immediately filled with concern for the state of Amy's former lover. Even though he pretended to not care about the news inside.
If what Sophie said was true, it's possible that Amy is currently having problems with her husband. Or maybe the lies that Amy did have been discovered by her husband.
.
He should not be too concerned about what happened in the marriage of his ex-girlfriend, but he could not stop listening to Amy's name alone had made him anxious like this.
No matter how determined she was to forget Amy, her nights were always filled with the happy memories they had spent together.
It wasn't that easy for him to forget all their memories together. In his heart he knew that he still loved his ex-girlfriend very much.
Hence hearing Amy was unhappy with her marriage she became worried about this. Is this a sign there is still hope for them. Could this be a chance for him to get Amy back in his arms.
Maybe Amy needs her help right now. And it does not rule out the possibility that Amy has actually been very sorry to decide to leave it.
But if that's the case, why didn't Amy just call him. Was he afraid Samuel would ignore him.
The many kinds of conjectures raging in his mind, without being able to avoid hope also began to grow in his heart.
He should have just gone to visit Amy to her home in Brighton Hill to make sure she was.
But not long after that he brushed away those stupid thoughts from inside his head. He shouldn't have done such a rash act again.
She decided to be happy with Sophie. Not a month has he been shaken just because he heard the state of Amy is less happy.
Ignore, Samuel. That woman is no longer yours. Whatever happens to him is none of your business anymore.
With that in mind, Samuel went back inside Sophie's room to rest there.
