I Will Marry You (I'll Marry You)
Suspicions

Upon Amy's return from dinner with Markus, she walks hurriedly to Sophie's nursed room, hoping to find Samuel there.

During dinner last night, Amy couldn't focus her attention on the conversation she had with her boss. Even the food was barely touched. His mind seemed to be somewhere else.

Fortunately Markus thought it was because Amy was too worried about leaving Sophie in the hospital, even though Samuel was there to accompany her sister.

To be honest Amy guessed that Markus would again ask about his real relationship when they had dinner together, which of course he was wrong.

Markus acted as if he had forgotten his suspicions about his awkward attitude when evading about his romantic relationship with Smauel some time ago, which Amy found very strange.

Markus is not a person who gives up easily in order to get the answer he wants. He would constantly corner his interlocutor until he was satisfied with his answer.

Could it be that Markus deliberately did that to make him restless even longer? Or Markus is not too interested in him anymore, so he does not intend to bring it up again.

Whatever the answer, all that night Amy was very nervous, afraid at any time Markus would charge his answer about his love statement yesterday at the fancy restaurant. Because Amy's not quite ready to give the answer.

There is still much to be done first before being able to answer Mark's love statement. He did not want to be too rash to make a decision.

Shaking her head, Amy brushed her problem with Markus from her head. Now he refocused his attention on Samuel the beloved.

Or should Amy call him an ex-lover now, if what Samuel said in the hospital garden was going to do.

"Why are you just standing there, Amy?" his mother asked, disperse the daydream of Amy who was pensive in front of the door of her sister's room.

"Let her be, Mother. Looks like Amy's mind is somewhere else, Mom. Maybe he was still imagined meeting with his handsome boss," Sophie said smiling full of cotch staring at her mother.

Struggling with shock, Amy immediately tried to find Samuel's whereabouts in the room. Unsettled to find Samuel there, he reluctantly approached his mother who was sitting on the bench near his sister's bed as usual.

"Our relationship is nothing more than a coworker, Sophie, so don't assume anything weird about the two of us" Amy scowled.

"Anyone can see that your handsome boss is interested in you" Sophie laughed with a wry smile. "Why else would he come here in the middle of his busy life to see his secretary's sister, if not because he had feelings for you? 'Our relationship is nothing more than a coworker, Sophie.' Ha! Very amusing. Who are you trying to fool?"

"Sophie, stop mocking your sister!" reprimand Mother.

Although her mother doesn't seem to want to make her look uncomfortable because of the conversation, Amy knows that her mother is also curious about her relationship with Markus.

Even so, Amy still does not want to discuss personal matters about her relationship with Markus to her mother and sister. Later if he has decided how clear the status of his relationship with Mark, without them ask he will tell it with pleasure.

"Seeing from your different attitude away from the last time I left you, it seems like something has brought you back to your old, obnoxious attitude" Amy replied sharply.

His attempt to shift the conversation to another topic was successful, Sophie immediately forgot her curiosity towards Markus.

"Oh, Amy, you're not going to believe this" Sophie beamed.

"Even Mother still can't believe it" his mother murmured softly.

Despite knowing what she would hear from Sophie's mouth next, Amy pretended to still put on an annoyed face.

"Samuel loves me, Amy! He loves me" said his sister with a big smile. "I hope this isn't a dream. Because if this is a dream, I don't want to wake up from my sleep."

"It's not a dream, my dear," said his mother patting his sister's hand affectionately. "While I don't know if there's anything more in your friendship over the years, I'm still happy for you."

It was his relationship with Samuel. Now the person she loves has become her sister's. As much as Amy's energy held herself back from running out of the room to cry as she could.

Reviewing the smile on her face, which she hoped did not look too forced, Amy approached hugging her sister.

"I'm happy for you too, Sophie. I hope you're happy. Just tell me that she dares to make you cry, because I'll teach her a lesson."

"I'm sorry, Amy, for reneging on our promise, but I can't stop feeling about Samuel anymore" Sophie said. "I love her so much."

"Forget our childish promises of the past. No one can fight love, my dear sister."

In silence, unbeknownst to her sister and mother, Amy quickly wipes tears from her eyes.

Now everything's sorted out. Amy no longer needs to worry about her sister's condition. Thanks to Samuel now Sophie is eager to recover herself.

As long as his brother is happy, he will be happy too. Even though that happiness has made the people he loves hurt.

***

Samuel had avoided him for almost a week. Every time Amy wanted to get close to him to talk, Samuel would always find an excuse to stay away from him.

In part of that reason Samuel always used Sophie as his shield to avoid Amy—as if he knew Amy would not dare to approach him if there was Sophie with him—which of course was powerful keep him away.

Amy doesn't want Sophie to realize the tension between herself and Samuel. Fishing for his sister's suspicions wasn't something he wanted to do right now.

But today fate has sided with him. Amy finally managed to corner Samuel on his way home from work. This time he would not let Samuel out of his grasp before the troubles between them were resolved.

Surprised by his unexpected appearance, Samuel ruffled his hair in annoyance. As if realizing he couldn't avoid Amy any longer, Samuel looked at her with a defiant look.

"Come, now tell me what you want to say. I'll give you five minutes."

"It's enough that your childish attitude sulks at me, Sam," Amy pouted. "We need to sort things out between the two of us as quickly as possible."

"What else could explain your attitude of constantly avoiding me for these few days if not sulking?" amy raised her chin just as angry.

Throwing piercing gazes at each other, Samuel finally took a step back from him. I hope the distance between them will calm my anger.

"Well, if you say so, then what do you want?" Samuel knocks on his watch, deliberately reminding Amy about the time he has given. "After this I'm going to go see Sophie, as you know she really needs me."

The last word was deliberately emphasized in a mocking tone to remind Amy what caused them to argue like this.

"Stop blaming me, Sam, now that you're Sophie's boyfriend, you can't act like you're forced to."

"It's true, am I forced to do it?" samuel was angry.

"Maybe it is now, but over time you will truly love her" Amy said, hoping it will happen so that they can all be happy. "I hope you're happy, Sam, I sincerely wish you both happiness."

"I told you, it's only temporary! I just want to be with you, and for me Sophie is just a little sister who needs my love right now, nothing more." Samuel shook Amy's body, still not accepting that their relationship was over. "I won't love anyone but you, Amy."

Pouring all her strength, Amy released Samuel's grip on her shoulder, then stepped away from her.

"No. We're over, Sam, you can't love me. Love Sophie now, and forever.'

"Why do you insist on ending our relationship?" samuel asked suspiciously looking at him. "Does this have anything to do with your boss's interest in you? Are you getting interested in him now, so you want our relationship to end? You're tempted by your exorbitant, rich boss."

Those hateful accusations incessantly shot out from Samuel's lips, like sparks devouring his target so fiercely.

"What-what are you talking about? It has nothing to do with Mark!" amy's look was too harsh, which only added to Samuel's suspicion of her.

"Look at how you call him so familiar."

"I always call him that, Sam. It has nothing to do with the brengs*k bullshit you just accused me of."

"Is that so?" samuel asked in disbelief as he turned his gaze behind Amy. "Why is he here again?"

Following Samuel's gaze behind him, Amy was shocked to find Markus walking up to them again with his eyebrows raised full of question marks.

"Did I interrupt the serious conversation between the two of you again?" mark asked after standing not far away from them.

Turning back and forth facing the two men in turn, Amy was confused who to put first.

Whether he should dispel Mark's suspicions to them, or straighten out the misunderstanding between himself and Samuel that was going on earlier.

Ah, never mind, just let Samuel misunderstand her and Mark, maybe then Samuel will give up forcing Amy to continue their relationship again.

Walking closer to Mark, he clasped his superior's hand.

"You came just in time. We just finished our conversation."

As if he did not believe his words, Markus just shook his head while frowning reading the look on his face trying to guess what he was trying to hide.

"We're not done yet, Amy," said Samuel, pulling one of his hands quickly.

Turning to face Samuel with a look of annoyance, Amy glared angrily at him. "We're done."

Jerking off his hands from Samuel's grasp, he immediately went to drag Mark away as far as possible from the sight of Samuel who stared in disbelief Amy had gone with Mark leaving him there alone.

Arriving in front of Mark's car, the driver's door was quickly opened and went inside and prepared to go to any place that would take him.

Once again raising an eyebrow looking at him, Markus was astonished at his presumptuous manner of urging his superior into the passenger seat as quickly as possible. Ignoring the request, Mark sat down next to him.

##

Now that Amy has gone away from Samuel, she sits uneasy in the car, nervous about what to say to break this awkward silence.

"After being so presumptuous a few minutes ago, now you've lost your voice?" Mark turned to face her with an indecipherable look.

"I'm sorry for my stupidity, but my anger has taken over my body" Amy replied regretfully.

"Honestly I'm a little surprised by this side of you, but that's all." Mark shrugged his shoulders indifferently then lay leisurely in his seat while closing his eyes for a moment.

Then silence returned.

And no matter what happened to her, suddenly Amy said something that she herself was also surprised by the words.

"By the way, Mark, regarding your love statement a few days ago, I want to be a j–"

"no need. I've changed my mind" Markus said, stopping his line, still with his eyes closed.

Amy was very surprised by the unexpected answer. If Markus said he had forgotten his love statement back then, maybe Amy wouldn't have been this surprised.

Because, however, he had delayed his answer for so long. That may have made Mark regret his confession that day.

But what does this mean now? Has he changed his mind? Change of mind how does that mean? Change not like it anymore or, or what? Amy's running out of ideas.
