As if he could not believe what he had just heard, Samuel asked, "What did you say?"
"You heard me very clearly, Sam. I'm getting married" Amy repeated.
Shaking his head, Samuel narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "You lied. There's no way you're getting married to your wood boss so soon. You don't love her. You love me!"
Turning her face away, Amy could not resist Samuel's words. Because what Samuel said was true, Amy still loved him.
"Now let me go, and don't bother me again to discuss this matter again. Forget me and be happy with Sophie."
"You haven't answered me, Amy." Samuel quickly blocked his path. "Do you love her?"
"That's not important."
With a quick movement Amy darted to the side and walked quickly to leave Samuel, who of course immediately ran after him while continuing to try to continue their unfinished conversation.
"That's important to me. Let me remind you that if you forget it, the day Sophie's accident happened you asked me to come to see you at the cabin, and don't try to avoid that day you actually wanted to answer my proposal," cerca Samuel followed her footsteps. "Just admit, that day you wanted to accept my proposal, didn't you?"
After Samuel finished his question, Amy stopped his steps.
That's absolutely true. That day, she answered Samuel's marriage proposal. It took him a month to realize that he wanted to spend his entire life with his best friend.
But unfortunately, the day that was supposed to be a happy day for him turned into the worst day of his life.
"I know that, baby, I know, you wouldn't be able to marry anyone but me." Samuel held her in his arms. "Let's end all this stupid charade and face Sophie's wrath against us together. Soon he will forgive us, as he has."
Mentioning Sophie's name suddenly resuscitated Amy from her daydream, violently releasing Samuel's embrace from her.
"Nothing to forgive. I'm still getting married to Mark, and you're going to continue your relationship with Sophie" Amy said. "Let it pass, Sam, we'll never be together again."
Then Amy again continued her steps that had stopped.
"Once again you step your foot, Amy, I will do what I told you in the cabin" Samuel shouted behind him. "I'll admit everything to Sophie. Fuck if he'll be ruined because of my confession."
Angry at the swearing, Amy turned and walked quickly to Samuel.
Thinking she had managed to scare Amy, the smile of victory was on Samuel's lips.
"Do what you want to do. Just tell me everything, I don't care!" amy's hiss, widen her eyes. "Your confession won't change anything. I'm going to marry Mark. Whether you want to believe it or not."
Hiding her trembling hand, Amy hurriedly turned around and left Samuel, before she realized that she was only pretending to be unaffected by the threat.
But seeing Samuel's astonished expression earlier, at least he had managed to silence him for a while.
Hopefully, the lie had managed to undo Samuel's intention to admit everything to Sophie. Amy could only pray.

Twirling lazily the glass filled with red liquid before him, Markus recalled his conversation with Amy on the street that night.
The incident still felt fresh in his memory even though it had been a week since the incident took place. How can he forget it, if every day he always repeats the incident every time he is free.
Markus still can't believe that Amy turned down her marriage proposal outright, and acts like nothing happened to them both the next day.
Though he had thought Amy would deliberately apply for leave in order to avoid it. But how surprised Markus when he saw his secretary was sitting sweetly at his desk, as if Mark's proposal is not the thing that will stop him from carrying out his activities as usual.
He knew Amy had a high professional attitude, but still it upset him. And not wanting his professional secretary to know his frustration, Mark also acted as unconcerned as he was.
Then fortunately not long after that Mark had to go take care of some things so that he could quickly get rid of Amy from before him. It was too difficult for him to maintain his bodied attitude in front of his secretary even longer.
But still her departure for a few days did not stop her from thinking or dreaming of Amy every night in her lonely and empty bed.
So it's no wonder Markus thinks a woman like Amy standing by the door of his library's dark room is just his imagination. Or maybe this is the effect he began to get a little drunk because of a bottle of wine he had been downing.
The light of the lights that suddenly illuminated the entire room instantly hurt his eyes. His reflexively raised hand blocked that dazzling ray of light.
"At first I doubted you were here, but thankfully I checked it first" Amy said with a hunting breath, as if she had just run for a long time. "You're drinking?"
Slowly she lowered her hand to her lap, then squinted her eyes at Amy intently. His appearance looks very messy, far different from the neat-looking secretary he always met in the office.
With her hair tied loosely at the nape of her neck, a few strands of hair stuck to her sweaty face. Glancing down, he saw one of Amy's shoelaces come off her stranglehold.
Worse, there were some brownish stains on her clothes, which showed that Amy seemed to have just fallen on a mud pit.
Aware of Mark's overarching gaze at her monstrous appearance, Amy tries to cover up her appearance with both hands.
Knowing it was pointless, Amy again lowered her hands, then smiled wryly at him.
"I'm sorry for my disheveled appearance, but I was in a hurry here, so I didn't notice the road properly" Amy said.
"What made you rush here? What bad things have happened to the company?" mussus asked her brows.
"Then, what else makes you come here with such a messy appearance, if not something work-related? You never get into my apartment, unless it's work-related."
"I. i…." Amy twitched uneasily as she stood, her eyes wandering in all directions.
Minutes pass. Then two minutes passed. And Amy hasn't explained what she meant by her arrival.
"If what you're doing there is standing still like a statue, you better go home," he kicked it out, then went back to drinking a glass of wine he'd neglected for so long.
"Let's get married!" exclaim Amy loudly.
The glass she was holding stopped right in front of her lips.
"Yes, let's get married" Amy repeated. "That night I couldn't think clearly, so without a second thought I immediately rejected you. But after I thought about it I made the wrong decision, so. Now let me make the proposal. Marry me, Mark."
Hiding his surprise, Markus put his glass back on the table casually. With a lazy gesture, he got up from his seat and walked up to Amy who was seen standing trembling looking at him.
Markus deliberately walked around Amy while occasionally wiping a trail of dust stuck to his shirt. After being content to make his secretary feel intimidated, Markus ducked behind his ear to whisper.
"What makes you think I still want you to be my wife, my dear Amy?"
Jolted to feel the warm breath of Markus near his ears, Amy's hair immediately brushed.
In a soft voice he replied, "I don't know. I just hope that your feelings for me that you've been craving for so long won't be as easy as fading over my spontaneous rejection that night."
"Of course you're right" Markus said after a second had passed.
The breath she had been holding, Amy slowly exhaled.
Not wanting to linger to make Amy feel uncomfortable, Markus finally took his body away from Amy and stood facing her.
"But.." Markus deliberately gave a pause so that Amy could not be relaxed too quickly, "I need bail."
"Warranty?"
"This time I won't let you toss myself around again, dear Amy. We never know, maybe tomorrow you change your mind again."
"I wouldn't do that! You can keep my promise," said Amy, looking earnest.
Even so, Markus still needs guarantees from his secretary who likes to change it.
"Your promise is not enough for me." Turning his head closer, Markus looked into Amy's eyes fixedly. "Tonight sleep with me, Amy Anderson."
Unnerved by the request, Amy instantly felt her propping up legs standing somewhat weakened.
As Amy humiliates herself by falling like a fool in the library room, Mark pulls her into his arms.
Now there is nothing to prevent their bodies from touching other than the clothes they wear. The heat radiating from Mark's body enveloped Amy's body.
For a moment Amy forgets where she is and what she is doing so she can cuddle with her superiors in the library of her apartment.
Markus' hot lip touch on the sensitive skin on his neck resuscitated Amy from her daze.
"I want you, Amy. Now." Now."
Clutching Mark's shirt tight, Amy laughed nervously. "Is this really necessary? We can do it after we get married. So why not just do it on our wedding night?"
Markus looked back at Amy with a face like holding back pain. "Yes or not, Amy? I just need one answer from both words."
Knowing that she can't escape Mark's entanglement, Amy finally accepts the fact that she has no choice but to agree to Mark's terms if she wants her marriage to her boss to happen.
Nodding small, Amy suddenly got an attack from Mark's lips that***** his lips ferociously, then slowly the kiss began to soften, as if Mark could already control himself.
To be honest Amy was very scared, but she tried hard to hold herself back so as not to push Mark from her body. This must be done to convince his superior.
Besides, Mark's kiss was not so disgusting that he had to make him reject it that hard. In the kiss, Amy could feel the wine Markus had drunk some time ago.
At least the taste of the wine helped ease his fear a little. Maybe that's also what makes Amy washed away in the passionate kiss, he returned Mark's kiss with great enthusiasm.
Then suddenly Markus released his lips that were linked so intimately with Amy's lips, his breath roaring loudly at Amy who was trying hard to calm the heartbeat of her pounding heart.
"Clean yourself in my bathroom and wait for me in my room" said Markus. "Cruisely again I'll catch up with you there. I need time to get rid of my hangover first. When making love I want to be fully conscious."
After delivering his orders, Markus pushes Amy slowly out of her library room.
Closing the door, Mark leaned his body against the door. The deal's been made. Tonight Amy will be hers.
Markus is determined to make tonight an unforgettable night for Amy, who will soon be his wife.
