I Will Marry You (I'll Marry You)

I Will Marry You (I'll Marry You)
All Restless

For a moment Amy was silent in her place, unable to get a word out of her lips. At times like this why he had to lose his ability to speak.

His newly arrived guest suddenly laughed at his silent behavior frozen in place.

"You must be Amy. I've heard a lot about you from Helen." Elisabeth hooked her arm around Amy's wrist. "My arrival must have surprised you. Let's go inside."

It was only after they walked into the house that Amy regained her voice.

"I'm sorry for my insolence, but it's nice to see you again."

"It doesn't have to be so formal. You can call me Elise" said Elisabeth shaking her hand. "I don't really like being considered a parent. Well, as you know, my son Markus doesn't think I'm a mother."

Amy doesn't know how to respond. All he could do was smile awkwardly in response. And without realizing it they were already in the greenhouse that was beside the house.

"Hey, Tom, how are my pretty girls?"

Elisabeth took off her armband and walked over to the gardener who always took care of the flowers in the greenhouse.

"Welcome back, Madam." Tomskins bowed his respects to Elisabeth. "As you can see they have grown very well. I've always done my best to take care of your beloved flowers."

Seeing her mother-in-law talking at length with a face of flowers reminded Amy of her mother. Not much different from his mother-in-law, his mother also has the same hobby, which is planting various types of flowers in their home page.

Because of his love for flowers, his mother opened a flower shop in Nort West since marrying his father. That is why when Elisabeth introduced her to her "beautiful girls" she had no trouble remembering the flowers' names.

After spending an hour talking about his beloved plants, Meggie approached the two of them to convey if the tomb of noon was ready to be served.

"God, I almost starved my daughter-in-law to death on the first day of my arrival" Elisabeth smiled regretfully at him. "You must be very tired of listening to this old lady's babble about her beloved flowers."

"Of course not. You even treated my longing for my mother. Just so you know, my mom loves flowers just as much as you do."

"I have to hear about your mother. We would be a good fit if we met later. And I've told you over and over again, don't be so formal with me, Amy."

"Well, E. Elise" he stuttered.

"Well, so. Now let's fill our stomachs inside."

Walking inside, Amy once again stopped in the middle of the road as she headed for the dining room. This time it was Helen who prevented her from filling her starving stomach.

Just like she was, Helen was just as surprised as she was when she saw her mother there. But he quickly recovered his shock.

"Hello, Mommy. I didn't expect to see you here" said Helen, hugging her mother. "Have I interrupted the first meeting between her mother-in-law and daughter-in-law here?"

"Don't be silly, Helen," said Elisabeth. "This isn't the first time we've met. We've met before in the Nort West."

"It's still your first meeting as a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, isn't it? Amy was Mark's secretary, not his wife."

"You're right, too," agreed Elisabeth. "Well, by the way, what are you here for? Amy and I were just about to eat our lunch, why don't you join us?"

"Then, why don't we just eat out" Helen suggested. "It just so happens that I came here to take Amy shopping at Luke's Mall."

"remarkable. That's a very good idea, honey. So what are you waiting for, let's get going. I'm so ready."

"But I need to change first." Amy looked down at the casual clothes she was wearing. "There's no way I'm out with you guys wearing clothes like this."

"No need, dear." Helen held her hand. "You can change clothes with the clothes we buy later. Now let's get the ladies all out shopping today."

"Well, Madam."

Amy let out a sigh as the mother and child dragged her together into the car.

"Sorry, Amy, it's actually my mother's arrival that I wanted to tell Mark that night. I forgot to tell you that my quarrel with Mark distracted me" whispered Helen silently as her mother was talking to the driver.

"It's okay, Helen." Amy patted her sister-in-law's hand. "I'm doing fine. I was only in shock for a moment before finally being able to recover from the paralysis of speaking."

The two of them immediately let out a small laugh that made Elisabeth turn to them with a furrowed eyebrow.

Markus loosened his tie as he got out of his car. Today was a very exhausting heart for him.

Not enough problems faced at home, now the office also makes his head dizzy with the annoying demands of his new client.

These few days he will be very busy solving the problem of dissent with his new client. Designing furniture models as desired by his new client was really draining his energy.

During this day he had to discuss repeatedly with the employees in his company due to the many wishes of his new client. So he hopes that when he gets home he will get peace.

Unfortunately, that simple expectation is still difficult to meet. After cleaning himself and changing clothes he was confused to see Amy was not in his room as usual.

What made him more suspicious of the evasive and timid attitude displayed by the servants in his house aroused a vigilant instinct in him. It seemed like there was something the servants of his house were hiding.

The last time he saw the restless attitude of his housemaids was when his mother four years ago came here to deliver the news of his latest marriage.

No. gabe. That's not possible. It's impossible for her mother to come back here. It feels like only two years ago he came to visit his office in the Nort West to tell the news of his marriage that somehow has been. He was tired of counting the number of marriages his mother had gone through in his entire life.

But what if his guess is right. It is not surprising that his mother's marriage failed for the umpteenth time. Given how bad her mother chose a partner, except for her father, of course.

Not wanting to keep wondering, he approached Meggie who was standing watching the new waiter polishing the porcelain near the stairs.

"Meggie, do you know where my wife is?"

Looking up at him, the usually flat-faced Meggie suddenly lowered his head in agitation as he answered his question. "Miss Amy is out shopping with Miss Helen, sir."

"How long have they been gone?"

"From five hours ago, sir."

It is a very long time to travel. But considering the women who were going shopping, it was no wonder they had taken this long.

Then why do the servants look so nervous if Amy is just going shopping with Helen. What this has to do with the impromptu dismissal he did this morning.

It was possible that the furore he caused this morning had made the servants so afraid to face him. Perhaps they were afraid that he would vent his anger on them as well.

Moreover, during this entire day he had not once shown a friendly expression on his face. So it was no wonder the servants ran in fear every time they saw his face.

The noise outside instantly distracted him. Relieved his wife had returned home, he rushed to the front of the house. But before leaving, he caught the look on Meggie's face, which suddenly turned frantic.

Ignoring the oddity he went to greet his wife at the door. How surprised he was when he saw not only his wife who had returned home, but his nightmare had also returned home.
