I Will Marry You (I'll Marry You)

I Will Marry You (I'll Marry You)
Obviousness

Rushing into Sophie's room, which was right next to her, Amy sorted through the things she had to take to the hospital.

This morning her mother returned to the hospital and immediately told her to go home. Her mother had also asked her not to worry about Sophie too much and to do her usual activities, which of course Amy could not comply with her mother's request. There's too much to do.

Entering work was not the main thing that was on his mind at the moment. That night at the hospital after waiting for Sophie to fall asleep in her bed, Amy rushed to the doctor who handled her sister.

"Is my sister able to walk normally again, Doc? This paralysis is only temporary, isn't it?" Amy looked at Doctor John expectantly.

Shaking his head, Doctor John said regretfully, "I'm sorry. I've tried my best, but it seems I can't do much."

"No. No way," looks Amy reject reality if her sister's legs can not recover as usual. "There's definitely a possibility, albeit a small one, if my sister can recover."

Patting his shoulders in sympathy, Doctor John tried to encourage him. "I hope so too. Right now we can only hope that a miracle will happen to your sister."

After saying those encouraging words, Doctor John stepped away leaving him alone wailing in the silent passageway.

A miracle? I want Amy to laugh hysterically. Right now all it needs is certainty, not some bullshit called a miracle.

Returning to the present, Amy focused her mind on something more urgent. That is to contact his superiors about his cut.

Surely Mark would not forbid if he applied for leave for a few days until the problem of his brother is solved.

Moreover, during working three years longer at his workplace, he had never once applied for leave. So, there was no harm if now he asked for it.

Glancing at the bag where she placed all sorts of her sister's favorite items, Amy nodded in satisfaction. At least this could distract his sister from her paralysis during her time in the hospital.

Her mother had only had time to bring Sophie's clothes, it was unthinkable for her mother that Sophie would also need entertainment while in the hospital. Maybe it was the effect of his mother being too worried about his sister's state, so his mother still could not think clearly.

Sighing deeply, Amy walked towards the door, but something stopped her as she was about to exit her sister's room. On his sister's desk lies a romance novel that has always been his sister's favorite.

Sophie had read the novel over and over again. Even Amy who is not interested in the novel also memorized some of the dialogue in the novel thanks to her sister who always voiced her favorite dialogue in the novel.

Without a second thought, Amy took the novel. Hoping that the novel would restore her brother's cheerful nature. However, he accidentally dropped the book that was also on the table.

Intending to return her to her place, Amy recognizes the book as her sister's diary. But the page of the book was revealed on the part that attracted his eyes.

Your smile and attention really melt my heart…

In a hurry to get out of her house, Amy did not realize there was a car parked not far from her house.

The pull of someone's hand on his wrist made him turn to face the person who pulled him.

"Mark?" shocks surprised. "What are you doing here?"

Markus did not give an answer, he just raised his eyebrows while looking down at the large bag in his grasp.

"Ah, stupid me." Amy nodded her head, as if now understanding what caused Markus to be there. "You must be confused as to why I'm late for work today and didn't tell you. Actually I intend men–"

"It's actually also one of the reasons I came here" Markus said. "After what I did for you last night, I wonder why you haven't called me yet. But more than that, I want to talk to you about something ya–"

"I'm sorry, Mark, I didn't mean to be rude, but right now I'm in a hurry. Maybe next time we'll talk" Amy said regretfully. "And regarding my delay today, I actually wanted to tell you that I wanted to take a leave of absence. But thank God we met here, so I don't need to call you anymore. Then I'll see you again."

Without waiting for a response from her boss, Amy turned around.

"When this is related to your sister Sophie" cried Markus behind her. "But what can be done, it looks like it can wait."

Amy's steps immediately stopped listening to what Markus had told her. Reversing her body, Amy immediately ran after Markus who was about to get into his car.

Just like Mark did to her, Amy jerked Mark's arm so he turned to face her.

"You can't just walk away after what you told me just now."

"I think you're in a hurry."

"Don't taunt me, Mark," Amy scolded. "What do you want to talk to me about my sister?"

"Actually last night I spoke to the doctor who handled your sister." Mark looked around for signs of anger on his face, as he could not find it he continued, "I'm sorry if I did it without your permission, but I can't just let you keep worrying about your sister's condition, so I'm trying to help as much as I can."

Slowly Amy's grip on Mark's hand came loose, and Mark was blankly staring at her. "If you want to say my sister has no hope, you don't have to say it. I heard it myself from Doctor John last night."

Markus seemed a little surprised to hear the confession, but his shock soon disappeared replaced by a big smile on his face.

"That's not exactly what I want to tell you."

"Then what?" amy asked confused and curious.

"Not long after speaking to Doctor John, I immediately contacted my acquaintance's doctor who was in Cambry. After explaining what happened to your brother, this afternoon he will come to check on your brother's condition" explained Markus. "Maybe I shouldn't have told you about this sooner, but looking at your condition now it seems you need to know this. Doctor Peter told me that there was a chance that your sister Sophie could recover from her paralysis, but that was still a possibility. It was here today to make sure. He wants to see your sister's situation firsthand."

During listening to the joyous news, Amy just fell silent glued to her place while staring at her superior in amazement.

Miracle.

That's what Doctor John told him last night. And this is the miracle, in the form of Mark William Xander. His chest seemed to be soaring because of the hope that was now beginning to fill him.

Maybe because it was also spontaneously thrown his body into the arms of his superiors while shouting happily.

Mark hugged her back. "I told you this was a possibility."

"I know, I know, but I'm so happy."

"If this news alone has made you hug me like this, especially later when the possibility will be a certainty, maybe you'll kiss me."

Feeling slapped by the remark, Amy immediately hurriedly let go of her embrace from Markus in a frenzy. Unfortunately Markus did not want to let go that easily.

"Mark, let me go" Amy asked weakly. His heart was beating very fast in his chest.

The next time the two of them suddenly looked at each other so intensely. Mark's grayish eyeballs turned darkly staring at him.

Sinking into the depths of those eyes, Amy involuntarily licked her lips nervously. The small gesture instantly caught Mark's attention, he immediately glanced at his lips full of interest.

"Amy!" call a voice behind him.

In the blink of an eye, Amy desperately released Mark's embrace from him, then turned to face the source of the voice.

Before turning back, Amy knew who had called her name.

At first glance, Amy immediately remembered what had made her run out of her house before she met Markus outside.

When viewed from the look of her face that looks unhappy and full of probing, Amy knows what is currently in the mind of her lover.

Ha! She could have looked at me like that after what she had done to me.

Slowly Samuel approached him.

"Why are you here? I thought you were in the hospital."

Instead of answering a question from her lover, Amy turned to face her boss.

"Thank you for the good news, Mark. I think we'll see you again this afternoon."

Mark glanced at him and samuel in turn, trying to figure out the relationship between the two of them.

"Perhaps," he replied in passing, his eyes fixed on Samuel who was now looking at him with a hostile gaze.

"Then, be careful on the road." Then Amy turned to face Samuel and took his hand violently. "And you're coming with me."

Aware of Mark's gaze continuing to follow him along the way, Amy quickly turns into a small alley. He did not want anyone to listen to his conversation with Samuel at this time.

Jerking off his hand, Samuel first preceded him in speaking.

"What is your relationship with your boss? Why did you hug in the middle of the road?"

Enraged by Samuel's implied question, Amy grabbed a book from his bag and threw it to Samuel's chest violently.

"Before you accuse me of being a no-no, you'd better explain this first" Amy replied, cursing furiously.

"What do you mean" Samuel said, picking up a book that had fallen at his feet. "What book is i–"

Samuel's grunts came to a halt when he realized what book was within his grasp. His eyes read the writing that was there.

"Why didn't you ever tell me Sophie had feelings for you?"

Looking up at him, Samuel stepped closer to him. "I can explain, Amy."

Taking a step back, Amy refuses when Samuel wants to touch her.

"Why are you doing this to me, Sam? Of all the people, why should you? You know how much I trust you, but why? Why is something important like this you never told me. And you know for yourself that I deserve to know this."

"This is why I don't want to tell you!" samuel was frustrated. "Because I knew you'd react like this. But Amy, this isn't what you think."

"What am I really thinking?" Shaking her head, Amy changed her question. "No. I should have asked that. What I'm supposed to ask you is since when did you find out about this? Did you find out recently or did you know before we decided to date. So, which one?"

"Believe it or not, I have known it not long ago" replied Samuel.

"When?"

Shifting his eyes, Samuel refused to answer his question. Only then did something cross Amy's mind.

Closing her mouth with both hands, Amy looked at Samuel with tears.

"The accident...." Amy tried to hold back her sobs, bracing herself she continued her words, "That's why you two are acting strange in the hospital. Sophie must have confessed her feelings for you that day."

No need for answers. Samuel's silence and remorse answered everything.

A few moments later came the horrible thought in Amy's mind.

"Oh my God, Oh my God." Amy clutched Samuel's shirt. "Don't tell me that you told Sophie too that we were in a relationship? Is that really so? Oh, my God, that must have ruined him"

Slumping down, Amy could no longer stem her sobs. "I've made my sister disabled. It's all my fault."
