A girl in a red coat was seen walking down the path in the middle of the La Eterno forest. He put both palms into the pocket of the fleece coat.
"Good, it's cold!" luna said in a trembling voice due to the bone-chilling coldness.
The forest is located on the outskirts of Flor City, so only a few residents live in it. It caused the atmosphere of the forest to be very quiet at night even during the day. Luna intends to visit her grandmother and stay with her during the winter break.
Luna continued to step under the dark sky covered in mist. However, the moonlight successfully illuminated the area full of pine trees, so Luna did not need additional lighting from other objects.
"Huh, a little more!" Luna exhales roughly from the mouth, so the carbon dioxide that comes out looks billowing like cigarette smoke.
Luna decided to pause while resting, because she was tired. Moreover, this was only half the trip to the grandmother's house. He sat down with a pile of snow that made his pants wet. The dark brown haired girl had no other choice.
Luna leaned against the trunk of the fallen pine tree, then took out a piece of Bolilo containing pieces of meat and lettuce. He enjoyed the bread accompanied by warm chocolate brought in a small flask.
After feeling her strength replenished, Luna continued on her way. He walked down a rocky road that began to slowly cover the snow. Sometimes he hummed to drive away the silence.
Suddenly from a distance came the howling of a wolf. Sontak Luna stopped her steps. He instantly recalled the story of a creature named Dire Wolf. Giant ancient wolves that are believed to still inhabit and guard the La Eterno forest.
"Don't ...." Luna swallowed repeatedly.
Sweat began to pour over his forehead and his body covered with a coat. Luna walked again, and accelerated the steps to split the forest, so that she would soon arrive at the grandmother's house.
The pretty girl's breath was hunting. His heart was beating so fast. From walking fast, now the steps are getting wider and faster.
Sometimes there are other footprints on the snow besides Luna's. It was as if someone else was running after the girl. The longer the sound of footsteps was getting closer.
"God! Who's that!" shouted Luna.
Eventually Luna decided to stop her steps and catch her breath. He looked around. Silent, only a gust of wind and the sound of pine leaves rubbing against each other.
"Why haven't I thought about this since?"
Luna directly reached into the phone in her coat pocket. He turned on the smartphone and immediately contacted his uncle. At first he wanted to surprise his uncle and grandmother. So, the girl did not give any news that she was going home.
"Come, lift!" grouse Luna while attaching the phone to the earlobe. He also bit his nails because of the fear that prevailed.
However, Luna did not get an answer. Many times he repeated the call and the result was the same. The uncle did not answer the call.
Suddenly, there was the sound of footsteps approaching Luna. He swelled then gulped roughly. There began to be the sound of wild animals.
Don't-don't ....
Slowly Luna looked up because of the source of the sound coming from above her head. He was petrified for a moment when he realized what was watching him from up there.
A wolf with fiery red eyes was watching with a savage gaze. The size of the wild animal is huge. Much larger than the size of a wolf in general, can be up to five times.
The wolf has a thick and long coat of pure white as white as snow. The row of pointed teeth, successfully making Luna shudder in horror. However, the moonlight actually makes the look of the wolf look charming.
"I-I beg you, don't hurt me. Untie me. I still want to live," pinta Luna with teary eyes.
The white-haired wolf still continued to growl. He did not seem to understand the words of Luna. The glass in Luna's eyes began to melt and slide down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry, if you've been distracted by my singing just now. Or maybe you don't like your territory? But, this is the only way to Grandma's house." Luna tried to apologize, hoping that the giant creature understood her words and let her go on the journey.
"May I change my life for this?" Luna pulled a necklace with a crescent-shaped pendant that coiled around her neck. He showed the wolf.
"This was a gift from my parents. This necklace is as precious as my life. I don't want to die now. So, I beg you to let me go, "pinta Luna in the midst of her sobs getting louder.
Luna put the necklace on a pile of snow and then looked down repeatedly. He hoped that the creature before him understood what he was saying.
Sure enough, the furious voice of the giant wolf slowly disappeared. Luna also ventured to glance up. How surprised the girl was when her gaze with the wolf met.
Dire Wolf's savage gaze seemed to soften. The eyeball, which was originally red, is now turning bluish like sapphire. The girl was stunned to see the beauty in front of her.
The wolf lowered its head, bit the necklace given by Luna, then walked back a few steps while keeping an eye on Luna. After feeling safe, the creature was turned back and then ran quickly split the pine forest.
The ground beneath Luna shook violently as the wolf moved. Snow that accumulates on the top of the pine tree until the landslide because of the actions of the creature.
"Finally!" luna said while breathing a sigh of relief.
The beautiful girl again gathered strength and courage to immediately stand up and continue the journey. Without him noticing there was a pair of eyes that kept watching him throughout the journey.
After a long journey, Luna finally saw the grandmother's house. A small house made of wood and glass. The house where she was raised was lovingly by her grandmother as well as her uncle.
"Estoy en casa (i'm home)!" exclaimed Luna then stepped even faster towards the door of the house.
The girl smiled widely, preparing to watch the grandmother's expression due to her sudden arrival. Luna was sure that the grandmother would jump for joy and forget her back complaints in the last few months.
Luna raised her arm then knocked on the wooden door. He repeated the move three times. However, the thing in front of him did not open immediately.
"Ah, it seems like I'm too late coming here."
Luna's shoulders slumped. There was a bit of regret as to why he didn't tell his uncle that he was a pupang today. So, at least the uncle will stay awake until he reaches home safely.
When Luna was struggling with a little regret, suddenly the door of the house opened. The old figure with a brown fur coat also narrowed his eyes towards Luna.
"Who, you?" martha asked as she continued to squint to recognize the girl.
"Grandma, it's me ... Luna." Luna patted her chest softly.
"Luna who? I don't know you! Go!" expel Martha.
