Luna And The Dire Wolf's

Luna And The Dire Wolf's
Chapters 10. Plague

Along the way to the Canis residential complex, Valko is made uncomfortable because of the pungent aroma of the waters in the forest. He stepped closer to the river that was the source of that unpleasant scent.

"The water is clear, but why does it smell like this, huh?" mumbling Valko.

The handsome man was crouching by the river. He dipped his fingers in the clear water, then tasted it. Valko frowned as he felt something was strange. The water, which usually tastes fresh and fresh, is now a little sour and bitter.

Without waiting any longer, Valko immediately moved from there to his house. He wanted to report his findings to his father. Not to forget he also filled an empty mineral bottle with river water, to show his father.

After arriving home, Valko immediately met the father who is now honing the ax. The man immediately thrust the water he had brought from the river to Alarick. The chief of the tribe frowned.

"What's this?" alarick asked as he grabbed the bottle filled with water.

"The smell of this water is very stinging. This is the water from the river that surrounds the eastern forest."

Alarick opened the bottle cap, then sniffed into the hole. He didn't smell anything from there. Alarick frowned, then looked at the astonished son.

"Where is there? The water has no scent. Still as usual."

"Then try to taste the water, Dad. Just a little, not a lot. I'm afraid someone deliberately put poison into the water.

Alarick immediately tasted the water. He tasted the taste of that colorless liquid thing, and looked frowned.

"It's still normal, Val."

"Surprisingly, am I the only one who can feel the difference?"

Valko finally rested his back on the head of the chair. He massaged his head slowly because he thought of the plague that was being experienced by the Canis people. The father said that most of them felt nausea and vomiting.

Not only that, on the third day after starting to experience symptoms of nausea and vomiting, they will experience shortness of breath. Some of the residents also experience body itching if they do not get help immediately.

"Luckily Berta was able to heal them all. So it can still be overcome. But, if this continues to happen, then Berta will be overwhelmed." Alarick rubbed his rough face and leaned against the head of the chair.

"I'll try to figure out the cause, Dad. If I find it, I'll tell you immediately."

"All right, now rest. Must be very tired of having traveled far. Sorry for having to ask you to come back so suddenly. I really can't handle this all by myself."

"No problem, Dad. This is also my responsibility."

From that day on, Valko tried to investigate the case. The man relied on the special abilities he had to investigate the case. Valko thinks there's someone who intentionally did all this.

For two days Valko did not come home. He continued to be by the river to keep an eye on the situation. The man wanted to see with his own eyes, who was the one who had dared to spread the plague in his village.

That night, the atmosphere was as quiet as ever. Only the sound of splashing river water flowing and passing through the rocks. Valko, who was hiding in a tree, suddenly caught the figure of a person with a red coat approaching the river.

'Who is that?'

From the silhouette of his body, it was clear that he was a woman. Valko took out a cell phone from his pants pocket, then recorded what he saw that night. With the help of a flash lamp, he can take videos while zooming in on the camera view.

It was like putting something in a river. The pungent aroma that had originally started to dissipate, now re-smelled strongly. Valko's conjecture that the river had been poisoned grew stronger.

The next incident made the son of the chieftain wide. The woman opened the hood of her coat, so that now Valko can see clearly who the evil woman who had the heart to poison the Canis tribe.

The next day, Valko rushed home. The man wanted to tell his father immediately that he already knew who was behind the plague that attacked the Canis.

"Dad, I already know ...." Valko did not continue his words because he saw the unpleasant sight before him.

In the living room, Alarick, Berta, as well as the crying Andrea turned their heads towards him. Alarick got up from the chair and approached the son. He floated his hand into the air, then landed it right on Valko's cheek.

The heat is now felt by Valko. He was overwhelmed by the harsh treatment of his father. All this time, only now did Alarick slap him.

Valko's heart ached and shattered into pieces. The figure of the father who is usually firm and wise, now has the heart to judge him without cause. Valko looked at the father who now looked angry.

"Well, what am I wrong?"

"Don't be a jerk! You've made your future wife cry for betraying your engagement!" alarick shouted while pointing at Valko's face full of anger.

"What father mean?"

"You had an affair with a girl named Luna and dumped Andrea! What do you mean!"

"Well, I'm ...." Valko's speech was cut off as Alarick clutched the collar of the man's shirt.

"Ending your relationship with Luna! This village is starting to get cursed because of you!" Alarick stared intently at the son, and spoke with teeth clenched together.

Valko looked at Alarick full of anger. His jaw hardened, and his fingers clenched strongly. His breath was seen hunting due to the mounting anger. He did not expect the father to be easily instigated by Andrea's words.

"So, you believe more in their words than I do? I didn't expect Dad to turn out like this!" Valko looked at the woman who was sitting on the sofa pretending to cry.

"I'm leaving! Don't look for me!" Valko pulled the father's arm until he slipped out of the man's grip.

Valko stepped towards the door that was still open. However, when he reached the doorway, Alarick stopped him. He approached the son and looked back at him.

"Whenever you get out of this house, you'll regret it for life!" threaten Alarick.

"I don't care!"

"I won't help you escape that curse!"

"Just be wild! After all, I'm getting comfortable with this curse! Therefore, I have many advantages! I don't think this is a curse, but a gift that has been given to me!"

Valko stepped steadily out of the house. Along with the footsteps of the man, suddenly the sky suddenly clouded. Lightning struck mega, with lightning and his thunderous voice.

Valko paused for a moment, then looked at the sky above him. The rain started to fall on the earth. The smell of wet soil poured out into the air, and penetrated Valko's sense of smell.

"Is this some kind of curse to me?" Valko smiled wryly and then ran through the increasingly heavy rain.

Inside the house, Alarick was still staring at Valko's back which began to move away. There is a feeling of regret that now infiltrates the heart of the man. However, the prestige was too great to chase after Valko and apologize.

"I just did what I had to do, Val."

Alarick grabbed the phone in his pants pocket, then started contacting one of his confidants. "Follow Valko, and report all his moves to me."
