Chapter 42. Looking for Aroma Therapy

"Val, please appreciate my efforts a little!" Luna brushed off the lover's arm while staring at Valko.

Valko swallowed a rough saliva and then exhaled a rough breath. He looked at the lover with a face that was still confused.

The man was trying to remember what he had done wrong, to make Luna offended. Valko plumbed into his memory again. After reaching the bottom of the memory, he realized his mistake.

"Geez!" Valko patted his forehead then summarized Luna's face which was still bent.

"Sorry, Honey. But, really! Now I accept any fate as long as I can continue with you. Become a Dire Wolf, a dwarf, or whatever it is. I want! So, it doesn't matter to me to turn into a giant wolf once a month."

"That's not the case, Val!" snapped Luna.

The chest of the beautiful girl was deflated with the anger in her chest. He took a deep breath and threw it away slowly through his mouth. After feeling calmer, Luna looked seriously at the lover.

"We've come this far to find a way to get the curse done. And now you're saying that it doesn't matter if you don't become a whole human being? I'm disappointed!" Luna pursed her lips and threw away her face.

"Bu-not that I mean." Valko.

Valko now turned the brain so that Luna stopped sulking. However, his brain seems to be dead. So, he could only say sorry full of regret.

"Luna, sorry for saying something like that. I'm really sorry. I do not intend to make our efforts in vain. I just don't want to bother you." Valko looked sadly at the lover.

Luna finally lowered her emotions. He let out a rough sigh, then grabbed Valko's fingers. Valko was now looking into the pretty girl's eyes with a sad look.

"Let's fight, Val. Another bit! I'm sure after this there will be happiness waiting for us!"

Valko nodded steadily. He looked at the lover with confidence. Valko repeatedly thanked in his heart for being met by a girl as good as Luna. He feels very lucky to have her.

Two days later, after the uncle returned to La Eterno Forest, Luna and Valko continued their journey. They passed through the Gato Forest very easily, because it just so happened that Catz was not there.

The Smilodon tribe allowed them to cross the forest for free. However, they must return a maximum of two more days before dawn, as Catz will be home two days later.

"I didn't think we'd be back here." Luna stared at the expanse of lavender fields on the hill Arcoris.

"Said Daphne, there's a secret shortcut to the Frio forest and the Nuevo mountains."

"Where is that shortcut?" ask Luna curiously.

"In the house of the dwarf Lord. The back door of Uncle Rudolf's house, a shortcut to the Frio forest. After a slight climb to the plateau in the forest, we will arrive at the mint plantations of the Nuevo Nation."

They went down the hill and into the valley where Rudolf lived. After arriving at the door of the dwarf, Luna knocked on the door of the small house. Shortly after, the door opened.

Rudolf smiled kindly, and let them in. Luna and Valko entered the house, and immediately told them what they were doing.

"I will accompany you! I have some friends there. I'll show you where sandalwood is easy to find!" Rudolf got up from the chair, and the lovers followed behind him.

They headed to the back of Rudolf's house. When the door opened, a miracle happened. On the side next to the Arcois valley, it was already dark.

In contrast to the pleasant conditions of the Arcoiris valley, the place looks so arid with the heat that makes it sultry. Many of the weeds started yellowing due to the hot weather in the place. A cold wind hit Luna's skin to make the girl shudder. Valko, who noticed that Luna was cold, took off her coat and put it on her body.

Rudolf nodded his head in response to Luna's request. While the wooden dwarf was cutting down a tree with some friends he had already called, Luna and Valko decided to continue the journey to shorten the time.

Somehow the miracle came. After passing through a pair of large trees in the Frio Forest, they seemed to move to another dimension. Now both are on the banks of the river filled with the fresh aroma of peppermint leaves. The sky of the place looks bright and blue.

"It's so fresh here. Unlike the Frio forest which looks more like autumn and arid," said Luna.

"The Nuevo tribe lives here. It's good to ask them for permission to ask for some peppermint leaves."

Seeing the scene in front of him made Luna instantly close Valko's eyes with a palm. He did not want the man's eyes to be polluted to the point of making his brain dirty due to the amazing scenery at this time.
