Luna And The Dire Wolf's

Luna And The Dire Wolf's
Chapter 48. The Midnight Cry

Lirih heard the sound of crying carried by the wind, making Luna wake up again. To his right and left, Azura and Micky were still sleeping. The girl rubbed her eyes, sharpening her hearing.

Luna also peeked out of the window of the tent, to find out the circumstances around. Outside feels empty. Only a variety of flowers that sway in the night wind. The bonfire was extinguished.

Diego was no longer standing guard outside the tent. Presumably everyone was exhausted due to the long journey today. Luna slowly walked out of the tent to look for the source of the sound.

"Whose voice?" luna muttered.

The sound of crying sounded very soft and heartbreaking. Luna continued to step, passing through the flower field. After arriving at the end of the flower field, there was a very beautiful lake.

The lake is filled with lotus plants that are very fragrant. The closer to the lake with the clear water, the more the sound of crying was clearly heard.

"Who's there?" luna asked when she saw someone sitting by the lake.

The crying of the man stopped. He looked towards Luna. Thanks to the help of the dim moonlight, Luna was able to know that the creature was in the form of a female human.

"You who? Can I help you?"

Luna still did not get an answer. Suddenly the woman went into the lake. He raised his hand and waved, as if asking for help.

"Can't you swim?" Luna immediately ran to the edge of the lake.

However, when he reached the edge of the lake, the girl disappeared. He drowned. Luna is still trying to find it by going into the lake and diving.

Shortly thereafter, a female figure was seen that he thought was drowning. Luna sped up her swimming movements, then grabbed the woman's arm. A second later, Luna realized that she had made a fatal mistake.

The creature before him turned out to be a half-fish man. He has a human body, but the waist down has a body like a fish. People used to call her Siren or Mermaid.

It is too late to return to the surface. Luna's legs are now bound by underwater plants. The woman in front of him grinned, revealing a row of teeth that looked more like a saw.

On the other hand, Valko who also could not sleep finally decided to get out of the tent. He glanced at the tents of the women at a glance. Hope Luna also came out that second as well.

After waiting a long time, it turns out the idol never came out. Finally Valko decided to send a message to Luna. I heard the clanking of Luna's cell phone.

"She doesn't seem to be sleeping?" Valko smiled gently as he glanced at Luna's tent which looked a little bright because of the glimmer of light coming from the phone screen.

Valko was waiting for her lover to come out of the tent. The man decided to make a voice call for his girlfriend to come out. However, how surprised Valko was when Azura answered his call.

"Val, what's wrong?" asked Azura with a typical hoarse voice of waking up.

"Zurais? Can you give this phone to Luna?"

"Luna's? Wasn't he there with you?"

"Why would I ask him to come out if we were together?" Valko rubbed a rough face.

Hearing Valko's words, Azura immediately turned off the phone. He immediately got out of the tent, to make sure that his best friend was not joking.

"Where is Luna?" valko asked frantically as Azura approached him.

"I don't know! Aren't you with him?"

"You saw it for yourself, didn't you? I'm here alone!"

"Jeez, where is he!"

Their small commotion was finally heard by Diego. The middle-aged man came out of the tent to find out why the two young men in front of his tent were arguing.

"Uncle, Luna isn't anywhere!" exclamation Azura.

"How come? Maybe he's taking a walk to find inspiration?"

"I'll try to track him down. Azura, you stay here. Me and Uncle will look for her." Valko started to sniff the scent of Luna's body.

The man concentrated fully, and concentrated his strength on the sense of smell. He and Diego cross the flower fields, and stop around the lake. Valko frowned as the scent of Luna disappeared around the lake.

"Luna!" diego shouted calling the name of the nephew.

"Luna, where are you?" Valko also shouted the name of the lover.

Both of them went around the lake on the hill. However, Luna's figure was not found. At one point on the edge of the lake, Luna's scent was very strong. Valko finally realized one thing. Eyes widened, as conjectures flashed through his mind.

"Uncle, Luna's body scent is very strong at this point. Looks like he's getting in the water."

"What after getting into the water, and he returned again to the land his scent disappeared?" ask Diego.

"No, Uncle. Looks like he's drowning."

"No way! Luna is very good at swimming! He can't drown!" argue Diego.

"But with this cold weather, his legs could have cramps, Uncle."

Diego approached the shore of the lake that was designated by Valko. He wanted to ascertain if there was any sign that Luna slipped or not. After being examined again, there was no trace of Luna slipping and causing her body to enter the lake.

"Sound! The ground around here is no trace of shoes. It's impossible if Luna slipped."

Valko rubbed a rough face. He thinks very hard to solve the mystery of the lover's disappearance. Finally the man decided to dive and look for Luna's whereabouts there.

"I'll dive, and look for it to the bottom of the lake, Uncle. I can't let anything bad happen to Luna!"

"Wait a minute, are you sure you can breathe long in the water?" ask Diego to confirm Valko's ability to dive.

"I can last fifteen minutes in the water at most, Uncle."

"Then let's take turns!"

Valko nodded in agreement. He took off his boots and coat. Now the handsome man only wears a thin short-sleeved shirt and jeans.

Valko took a deep breath, before diving in. Once enough to fill the lungs with oxygen, Valko immediately went into the water. The cold water of Lake Arcois in the middle of autumn did not dampen his intention to dive deeper.

The handsome man saw at the bottom of the lake there were many aquatic plants that moved along with the movement of water. A few small fish swam here and there for food. This underwater scenery will certainly enjoy Valko if you are not frantically looking for the existence of Luna.

After diving for nearly fifteen minutes, Valko found no results. He went back to the surface. Diego, who saw Valko appear, immediately prepared to dive. He stripped off his clothes and left a shirt and a pair of shorts. Diego went straight into the water and approached Valko who was still floating on the surface of the lake.

"I've dived up to ten meters down, and found nothing, Uncle."

"All right, I'll look for him again." Diego prepared to take a deep breath, and was about to sink his head into the water. However, just before diving, suddenly a person's voice came from the edge of the lake.

"What are you doing? Isn't it cold in there?"

Hearing a very familiar voice in the ears, made Valko and Diego turn their heads. Sure enough, Luna was now standing firmly on the edge of the lake right the scent of her body smelled strong.

"Luna!" diego and Valko together.
