Chapters 15. The deal with Vlad

Diego looked at the mother who was looking out the window of his room muttering. Martha's condition is getting worse. His memory retreated and stopped when Diego was ten years old.

Throughout the day Martha always asked the whereabouts of Luna's mother who had died long ago. Diego had to lie that his brother hadn't come back from town. If Diego reveals the fact that her sister has died, Martha will faint because she can't control her emotions.

Seeing Martha's condition getting worse, Diego recklessly brought her to the city. Without much money, the handsome man checked his mother.

That afternoon, Diego was in the largest hospital in Flor City. He was waiting to register his mother. After waiting for a few minutes, it was Diego's turn to go to the registration section.

"Well, may I have a patient's personal data, sir?" ask the registration officer.

Diego immediately handed the mother's identification card to the woman. The officer immediately entered Martha's personal data into the computer.

"Miss, can it be paid here in installments?" ask Diego while waiting for the registration process to complete.

"Sorry, I can't, sir. Everyone who comes here must also have health insurance. So, what's your mother's insurance policy number?" ask the woman friendly.

"We, from the countryside in La Eterno Forest, have nothing of the sort. The phone and power lines just went in there the last five years."

"Sorry, Sir. Well then, you can't get treatment here. Next one!" The nurse returned Martha's identity card and called the next patient.

"Please, Mom. Just this once. I beg you." Diego cupped his palms together, hoping to get mercy from the officer.

"Sorry, Sir. Can't, please come out. Next one!" The officer's face turned sharp, disturbed by Diego's insistence.

Now Diego starts pulling the woman's arm, until there is chaos. The registration officer started shouting for the security officer. Shortly after, two well-built men approached Diego.

"Please take this father and his mother out! He's hindering the registration process!" the officer's orders.

"Come, Sir! Follow us!" One officer led Diego, and another led Martha out of line.

Diego keeps on revolting. He kept shouting and letting out swearing. This commotion was finally seen by one of the doctors who was there. He is Vlad. Famous surgeon in Flor City.

Besides being famous as a cold-blooded doctor, Vlad is the owner of a large Hospital that is now visited by Diego. He was one of Flor's highly respected nobles. Vlad is famous for being generous, and likes to help people in need.

"What's this?" Vlad's voice suddenly made everyone quiet.

Vlad began to step closer to Diego who is now being blocked by security officers. He frowned when he saw the man. His gaze turned to the officer who was now holding Diego's arm.

"Corn, Sir. This guy has made a scene! He wanted treatment, but did not want to pay!" accuse the officer.

"Hey! What are you talking about, you son of a bitch! I don't want to pay! But I want to pay for my mother's medical expenses, for not having an insurance policy!" diego shouted for not accepting the words of the security guard.

"Insurance policy is mandatory in this country! So, if you don't have it, then you will be rejected by all the hospitals in the country!"

"Here go, let him go!" vlad's orders to the security guard.

The officer took his hand off Diego's arm. Diego immediately tidied up the clothes attached to his body because of the action revolted earlier.

"Sir, come to my room!" Vlad asked Diego to come to the doctor's office.

After reaching Vlad's room, the doctor asked about Diego's problems. Diego also told me everything he was going through. Vlad listened to everything Diego said carefully. After the man finished telling the story, Vlad took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"So, you want to treat your mother, but it doesn't cost you?" ask Vlad.

"Yes, Doc." Diego bowed lethargic with interlocked fingers.

Sontak Diego looked up, looking at the doctor. His eyes sparkled because he felt he would find a way to heal his mother. Diego smiled broadly welcoming Vlad's goodwill.

"But on one condition." Vlad held out his index finger in front of Diego's face.

"What is that, Doc?" ask Diego with a frown.

"I want you to prepare a girl to marry my son. Do you have a virgin daughter?"

Diego was back down in the doldrums. She had never been married all this time, so had no children. The man nodded slowly. However, a second later Luna's shadow flashed through the man's mind.

"But, I have a niece who's still a girl, Doc! He's still at Flor University."

"Well, can you bring him to me as soon as possible? I want to see it firsthand, and introduce it to Draco, my son."

"I'll work on it!" diego said with complete confidence.

Vlad smiled broadly. Shortly after, he opened the drawer of the workbench, and took out a piece of paper from it. The pale-faced doctor also handed out a paper that turned out to contain the letter of agreement.

"Read it, and sign it here using your blood droplets." Vlad pointed to a column that Diego had signed.

Diego read the letter carefully. She does not want to because of the mother's treatment, it must bring Luna in danger. After finishing reading the contents of the agreement and seeing all the points are safe and not detrimental, Diego immediately nodded steadily.

"Good, Doc. I agree! But please give me time to convince my nephew."

"Well, I'll give you time to bring your niece to my house. Get your hands!"

Diego reached out his hand. Vlad stuck a needle in Diego's finger, and now blood is coming out of his index tip. Vlad pointed the finger at the paper and put it on the paper.

"You can go, I'll immediately ask the hospital to take care of your mother."

"Good, Doc. Thanks for the help." Diego's a little more relieved now. At the very least, the mother can get treatment immediately.

Her job now is to convince Luna to marry Draco's son. He thought about it all the way to Luna's dormitory. After arriving at the niece's dorm, Diego immediately called the girl.

"Can you meet me downstairs?" pinta Diego by phone.

"Wait a minute, Uncle."

Shortly afterwards, Luna was seen coming out of the dormitory door. He ran towards Diego with a surprised face.

"What's up, Uncle? Tumben came here once without any prior news."

"Your grandmother, it's getting worse. The memory stopped when I was ten."

"Sorry, Uncle. I haven't been able to help Grandma with medication." Luna bowed lethargicly, staring at the end of her worn-out shoes.

"I met a good man today. He's willing to finance the mother's treatment."

"really?" Luna immediately looked at the uncle with a sparkling look.

"But ...."
